Pros: This case is an amazing price and looks really awesome! I built an AMD ryzen system with this case. It's cheaper with the 4 LED fans that comes with and being that that they make the case look really nice, compared to a much more expensive case, gets it the 3-star rating.
Cons: I honestly probably would have raided this a 1 or 2 star rating because of the fact that when I received it, the front panel clips were mostly broken off and the front of the case fell off as soon as I pulled out of the box. Only a few of the clips were still attached to the front panel piece. When I tried to put the front panel piece back on you could definitely tell that it was still loose and around the corners it was still sticking out away from the case. Luckily all the clips were still in good condition, so I was able to super glue the clips back onto the front panel. After I did this and let it dry for about an hour, I was able to put the front panel piece back on and it was okay after that.
Overall Review: I'm sure if I complained to Newegg they probably would have sent me another one but this was really close to Christmas time and I wasn't able to do that. So I had to improvise with the super glue. The main reason why I gave you a 3-star is because it really is a great deal with the LED fans that comes with in the case does look like a high-dollar case after you're done building everything and turning it on. All of the fans work great and they keep the case cool enough. I don't do any overclocking so I haven't tested if they are good enough for that.
The box that this was shipped in looked like it was in good condition so I don't think that it was damaged badly enough during shipping as to why the clips broke off the front panel. I'm no packing expert but being that the box looked like it was in pretty good shape and I didn't notice any evidence of damage to the box, I feel that the internal packaging could have been better to absorb any slight drops or being under heavy boxes. I understand that this was a cheap case for what it is and what you get out of it, so I would think they would package it even better since it has more plastic parts than more expensive cases.
Pros: Great price for the quality! I purchased 2 of these to go into (2) 2012 MacBook Pro A1278 laptops, they also have 8GB RAM. Catalina installed very quickly and with no errors. I formatted them APFS in the Disk Utility by starting up on a Catalina USB installer. If you Google Search "Catalina USB installer", Apple has made simple instructions for creating one. Select the Google search link that is from Apple support for creating Mac OS USB installers. It works perfectly! After making sure they were APFS, the OS installed in about half the time of the drives these originally came with (500GB 5400 RPM drives). I do this for a living and trust me, it was a major difference in time.
I have been running these for about 2 weeks now and have had no problems at all. If anything happens to change I will update my review. But if you're reading this a while from now then they are still working great!
Cons: If it's going to be critical data, critical backup data, information that you cannot afford to lose, you should buy a more highly rated product. These are cheap for a reason. They do not have the proven hardware that more expensive drives have. SSD hard drives that are in the cheaper range have been known to fail because of their controllers. Do your research! Not every SSD drive is the same.
Overall Review: I would definitely recommend this SSD hard drive, even for the cheaper quality because of the price and the stability that I have had so far. I'm not expecting them to last indefinitely due to the hardware inside of them. I do trust them to last and work well for several years but I know they're not going to last forever. For the price and for the quality that they are, you are getting exactly what you pay for but you're still getting a great product that is going to last for a while!
Pros: I have owned several of these drives over the past several years and these recently from January 2020. I have had no issues with them and they have been running great!
Overall Review: I would purchase these again if they are comprable to other pricing for similar products. They seem to be on par with other branded SSD hard drives. Nothing really stands out with them but I have not had any issues with them at all.
Pros: Very fast SSD drive for the money. I install a lot of SSD drives for my customers and this series has always proven great! I have never had a drive fail.
Overall Review: I would recommend this drive to anybody looking for something reliable and a good bang for the buck. There are better gaming SSD drives out there but if you're upgrading an older computer or just need something for general use, this will be a major improvement!
Pros: Memory runs great along with my AMD ryzen 2700x.
Cons: None that I can think of
Overall Review: Runs really well with my AMD ryzen 2700X. Super easy to install and no issues with the AMD X570 chipset and 2700x processor. I'm using the MSI X570-A Pro motherboard. I figured I wouldn't have an issue since it specifically states AMD systems but you never know! I did have to change the memory clock, it auto set up as 2133 MHz. So if you want to make sure that it's running at its stock speed, you may need to go into your motherboard and check the settings to make sure it's running at what it should be.
Pros: Installed Windows 10 super fast, works in many different laptops. I have purchased several of these. Never had an issue! These have been running several months now and I have never had a problem. I have another drive I have used over a year!
Cons: No cons for me!
Overall Review: These drives are fast and last very long!
Pros: I have purchased several of this EXACT model and many other Team Group drives. I love them! Out of 80+ Team Group drives, I don't have problems and this model is included. I have purchased over 10 of these and they have all been perfect.
Cons: No issue ever with this model
Overall Review: Team Group drives have always been a great product for me!
Pros: I have purchased about 50-60 of this EXACT drive. I love this drive! I actually have had a few defective units, but in all I still have to give it 5 starts because of the amount I've purchased with VERY LITTLE problems. This is a great drive and I have always been happy with Team Group products! Thanks!
Cons: Out of 50-60 drives I've purchased of this model, only 2 or 3 were defective. Not worth taking 1 egg away!
Pros: I love this thing! It has made cloning hard drives to SSDs so very easy!! What a great price for something so awesome and easy to use!
Cons: It's a little hard to get the drive back out of it once it's in, but still, I love this thing!
Cons: This drive crashed on me RIGHT after a Windows 10 64 Bit installation. Funny thing is, I had another laptop I was working on with the 120GB version of this SAME drive. It crashed RIGHT after a Windows 10 installation as well! These things are horrible. 2 different ADATA drives, both still under warranty, brand new out of the box crashed right after a Windows 10 install? No thanks! Pass.
Overall Review: None - didn't even get to use it for more than 10 minutes. Crashed right after installation!
Pros: Great case design. Easy to work with and was able to install a full ATX mobo with no problem. Everything fit with ease: (2) 2TB WD Black HDDs, DVD Burner, extra fans, power supply, ect all went in very smoothly and cable management was easy to contain.
Cons: I saw in another review that I'm not the only one that had to do this, in fact, if it wasn't for THAT review (thanks so much Mindinversion) I would have RMAed this case. I would love to give this case a 4.5 rating, but one tiny (but major) manufacturing defect (or oversight really) was a MAJOR pain in the you know what until I read the reviews here. For some reason, Cooler Master decided to tighten down the power button REALLY tight. Almost where I thought it wasn't a real power button, just a dummy button that lit up. Nope, they made it so tight that it was pressing down the case power button and the computer would randomly shut off when touched slightly or moved in anyway. Sometimes it would just shut off out of no where. Double check your front panel before going crazy, loosen those screen up on the power button. The front of the case pops off so easily, takes about 30 seconds, it's worth checking, trust me! Pop the bottom latches first, on both sides, and it pops off so easy. Losen the screws a lot on the power button and then pop it back on. Double check the power button actually presses "IN" and pops out. If you do this, you will save tons of time of wondering if you didn't ground properly, heat issues, ect. Nope, just a stupid oversight on Cooler Master.
Overall Review: Again, great case and awesome design for the space savings, but wow, check your power button!
Pros: Very good price for a PSU that is "name brand".
Cons: About a month after I installed this in a new build, the PSU died. The computer wouldn't even turn on. I RMAed it (2470729) and Corsair received it on 12/19/11. I know it was near Christmas, but man is Corsair taking a very long time getting the replacement to me. I built this rig for a friend and I feel horrible he and his family have to wait so long for this. I have been building PCs for a long time and have RMAed PSUs in the past (CoolerMaster, OCZ). Their turn around on replacement was within a week or less. I know every manufacturer has "bad eggs" but their turnaround time is horrid. My benefit of the doubt is that it's around the holidays, but no company should treat customers like this. Heck, since I sent it back near Christmas and it was a relatively new PSU, it may be a Christmas present, so you think they would have tried to get to it faster, huh? Nope :(
Overall Review: I rarely leave negative reviews because I know not everything works 100% of the time. I'm not mad about the PSU dying, I'm mad about the turnaround time on this company. My friend and their family want me to sell this thing now so that they can buy a MAC. Sigh. Another PC user lost in the wind :(
Check out the CX430, CX500 series forums. Many users are complaining these are not "true" 430w and 500w PSUs. Hope Corsair fixes these issues and hope my RMA replacement isn't another one of those with the issue!!
Pros: Huge storage and got it with a rebate (which I have received) which made it a great deal! Very fast on an USB 3.0 port and seems to run faster than some of my USB 2.0 drives even on 2.0 ports.
Cons: Kind of bulky compared to other models. Things tend to stick to it's 'rubbery" surface. So it's hard to keep "clean" because of this. Example: Put it in your pocket and I promise lint will stick to it. Put it in the bottom of your laptop case/backpack and you'll have debris stuck to it that collected over time down there!
Overall Review: Can't complain too much about the rubbery case though. It does keep it from sliding around and it wont just fall out of a pocket since it "grips" to the inside pretty well. Good luck cleaning it off though :)
Pros: Runs on my GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 with no problems at all. I'm using the AMD 1090T Phenom II processor as well. I am running at 1333 since the 1090T can't support 4 DIMMs at 1600 without failing. I'm sure some got it to work but I really didn't feel like messing with it until I get one of the new AMD 8 cores. I'm happy with it as is. The motherboard detected this right away as 1333. Not sure if that's a pro or con since I should only be running it at 1333 anyway. (Even though this is 1600 RAM).
Cons: Nothing, works great for me! You will have to tweak for some motherboards. Sorry, that's just how some work :(.
Overall Review: Don't freak out if you can't run at 1600. Do your homework first and make sure your CPU/MB can run at 1600 with ALL 4 STICKS. That makes a big difference on ANY PC.
Pros: No major dead pixels. Great picture quality, very easy adjustments with menus, and only changed the "pre-settings" scenes for a brighter picture - so it didn't take much tweaking - the built in selections were good enough so that I didn't have to tweak every little setting like some in the past.
Screen picture quality is nice and I do notice an improved color as compared to my 23" ASUS LCD this replaced. That's from the brighter LED backlight. It does look great! Another great looking product from ASUS.
Cons: One deal pixel in the far right of the screen about in the middle. Not enough to cause an RMA but would be nice if more screens were tested for this. This seems to be a common issue with ANY monitor company. You win some and lose some - but I know ASUS/Newegg would send me out a new one if I complained. It's really not in the way but I do notice it because I'm OCD like that. More companies should attempt to test more monitors but I know it's probably cheaper for them to just replace them. So I guess I can't blame them, hence no stars taken off.
Overall Review: I have always been happy with ASUS products, they never let me down. No company can be PERFECT but if a problem arises, ASUS is great about taking care of it.
The only mechanical adjustment you get is an up / down tilt. The tilt is better than some other ASUS monitors and works for me, but I can see some people having issues with this depending on their environment. My setup is pretty level with my sight so I didn't have to tilt it much. The ASUS 23" this replaced was worse.
The ability to just mute the sound is nice. I will not be using the speakers in the monitor. 9 times out of 10 speakers built in ANY monitor are not that great so I didn't even try to use them. I like not having to mute them in Windows - so it's a nice feature built in the monitor.
This replaced another ASUS LCD monitor that is 23". The picture is definitely bigger but I wouldn't say it's MUCH noticeable as compared to the 23" one. LED is a big plus for this one for the power savings and brighter picture.
Pros: Price worked out to under 11 cents per GB. (at 79.99) So that was a pretty good deal. Quiet drive, fast installs; OS (Vista) install was pretty fast. WD has yet to fail me, so far this one has been great too. Tested Windows 7 RC and it installed a bit faster than Vista did.
Cons: OEM drives (usually) don't come with cables, be prepaired! I had one from my other drive, but had this been an add on, I would have had to find a cable.
Overall Review: WD is a solid brand. One of the best HDD manufactures that I've owned.
Pros: Very good price. Will run at rated speeds with tweaking. OCZ is a great company and buying from Newegg makes it even better.
Cons: If you are not computer savvy it might be a bit of a learning curve to get this memory at rated timings and 1066MHz. You will need to go into your BIOS to adjust this. Be ready.
Overall Review: The memory will probably default at 667 or 800MHz. If you go to OCZ forums (type that exactly in a search engine), you will get full support by OCZ staff. They are great and helped me out!!
Pros: Very, very good price. OCZ is an excellent company as well as Newegg! Can't beat the combo there for super double support!
Cons: Long story short. I bought 2 kits seperately of this exact memory. I was browsing on the web, I hear this loud, EEEERRRRRWWWW SCREACHHHHH sound. I unplugged my power cord right away. I looked into the case - 2 of the 4 sticks - their heatsinks have fallen off!! AHH! They fell onto the side case fan (the noise). I took out all 4 sticks (2 don't have heatsinks attached now) and examined them all. I would say it was my fault somehow but the 2 of the 4 sticks that they fell off of are from the same kit!! Can't be me? I don't overclock. System never locked up, everything runs fine. Heck even all 4 sticks test just fine in mem tests (just 2 don't have sinks). The other 2 are completely fine and still have no problems running right now.
Overall Review: Not sure if this is RMAable but I don't think it's my fault. Worse case I could just put the memory back in and still run w/ 4GB but 2 will just not have heatsinks. What to do?
Pros: Was much cheaper than other "known" brands with the rebate. I did get the rebate back as well. :) $30 after rebate + tax. Ran ok since 2/15/08 - 11/23/08. 5 Year Warranty.
Cons: The fan died. The power supply did NOT shut off and overheaded my entire system (nothing ever did shut off though and was running "fine"). My memory heatsinks actually MELTED off my OCZ Reaper PC8500 RAM. (The adhesive holding them on melted). When I took out this PSU, it was so hot I couldn't hold it at all. (Could probably cook bacon on it).
Overall Review: You get what you pay for in any computer or computer related device. Go with bigger brand names. I'm getting this RMAed, then going to sell it. Think of it this way. You can buy this unit 5 times at it's current price to keep replacing it, or buy a better brand that costs more but will last MUCH longer.
