Overall Review: I really thought I was a power user, I'm a gamer and sometimes I stream. Barely push the cpu to 20 percent. Stays at 40C or less while im playing/streaming control. Im blown away with the power of this cpu.
Overall Review: Worked out if the box with the 3950x. Pci4 worked great, xmpp ram profile setup easily.
Overall Review: Installed this in my parents rig with a 2600. Everything boots in a real hurry, and they notice the difference, even from a Samsung pro 950 Sata drive.
Pros: -None of those flashy LED's, no extra LED headers, not a lot of gaming colors or plastic bezels over things. This is going in my parents rig, its a stealth black case without windows. Who needs colors? Not a flashy bios for gaming, just a plain Jane setup. Worked out of the box.
Overall Review: This is going in my parents rig, its a stealth black case without windows. Who needs colors? Not a flashy bios for gaming, just a plain Jane setup. Worked out of the box. Everything plugged in fine, no issues whatsover in installing an M.2 drive, a regular sata SSD, and a Sata blu-ray writer. Everything boots fast.
Pros: -7200 spinner at 50 dollars a terabyte
-no issues so far
-runs a raid just fine
Cons: -Didn't like having to find SATA cables, but at 50 dollars a unit, I'm ok with it.
Overall Review: Still going strong after a year.
Pros: Got this for a custom build for my parents. They love the case, no fancy extra stuff on the outside, it doesnt' call attention to itself, and the matte finish is nice. I really like the look of the case, and the build is quality.
-No extra lights
-no frills, not shiny, doesn't bring attention to itself
Cons: -None, if you're looking to build a stealth case, this is your guy.
Pros: -dropped my temp 10 C from stock at idle, around 15 C under loads.
-price is fair for a quality product
-fan isn't loud
Cons: -sharp sharp edges. I ripped open my finger on the fins. Watch yourself if you're installing this in a mid tower and you have large hands
Overall Review: -I would recommend this if you don't want to drop the cash on a water cooling system.
Pros: -Price is nice
-Worked on the first install
-fairly low profile
Cons: -none so far
Pros: -Looks nice
-easy to set up
It was easy to hang, came with all the hardware, and it has a really solid feel. The safety strap feature is also a plus.
Cons: -none I found
Pros: -size is nice
-sound is nice and warm
-fits my stands perfectly
-Very high quality feel and look.
Cons: -can only take 50 watts RMS, so be careful on 5/7 channel stereo when you're jamming out
Overall Review: -Perfect for what it is. Plenty of depth, good midrange. The sub does the heavy lifting, and I'm perfectly ok getting rid of my old floorstanding speakers to make way for these. I'll just put my system into 2 channel stereo and let the mains do the heavy lifting for my jam sessions.
Pros: -No LED's
-Worked on the first boot
-Compatible with my chipset
Overall Review: -Would recommend to others
-Be sure to set your bios to use the full potential of this ram, otherwise you're probably leaving about 1ghz of bandwidth doing nothing.
-Nice set of ram, and its not a high profile either, which was a requirement for me.
Pros: -This is my first fully modular power supply. I love the clean look in my PC
-Fan seems very quiet compared to my last one
-850 watts is more than enough power for a single CPU/GPU setup. I'm probably using less than half the capacity, but there's no kill like overkill.
-The packaging is high quality, and it comes with a small bag to keep the cables you don't use. It also comes with Velcro ties!
Overall Review: -Its impressive for sure. I plugged it in and set it up no problem. The cables are nice and long compared to my older PSU.
-It's still going strong. May not be the latest and greatest, but not everyone can afford the newest toys to play with.
Overall Review: -Highly recommend
-Large card, be aware of the space you will require.
Pros: -Fits right in, sets up easily if your motherboard can handle it
-I like the heat sink. It works without being too obtrusive or in your way
Overall Review: -Highly recommend
-Some motherboards don't like ddr3 running at 2400. Be careful that you get the latency right before you try to push it past the 1600 limit.
Pros: -Easy to install, worked on the first go. The large fans aren't overly loud unless you are really pushing it.
Overall Review: -Would recommend this to others
-I'm only pushing 1080 monitors, and it keeps everything clocked way over 60 frames, but since I only have a 60 fps monitor, I just cap it. I was overloading my old 3770 with the frame overload.
-This is a VERY large card. Just be aware of space requirements and be prepared to re-route lots of cables.
Pros: -easy bios update, even without a CPU installed
-lots of fan ports
-water pump port
-LOVE the bios, lots of features
Cons: -very large plastic blocks on top of the backplate. I had to remove it to fit it in my mid-tower atx case.
Overall Review: -Highly recommend
-Used a 7700k processor and gskill 3200 DDR4. Its stable overclocked at 5ghz. You can use the new Kaby Lake processors if you do a bios update, and yes, you can do that without a CPU or RAM installed.
- Anything you need to know, you can learn from this very detailed manual.
Pros: It's a great drive for the price. They have a 5 year warranty. It's a nice bit of hardware. I like the samsung software that allows you to mirror your old drive.
Cons: FREE GAME.
That free game isn't free at all. They charge you 60 non refundable dollars and take a discount off the cost of the drive. If you have to return the drive, you're out 60 bucks, which is shady. Look at the checkout screen when you put it in the cart, it clearly states the game price and the device price, HOWEVER, you are invoiced an entirely different way. I needed the device in a hurry, and fedex overnight with the rush service failed me, so I had to pay a hundred bucks more locally. No big deal, I'll return the drive and eat the shipping, it happens. I now have to eat the shipping and the cost of a "free" game that I will never play.
Suffice to say, delete that thing out of your cart if there is the smallest chance you need to return the device.
Overall Review: It's a nice drive, and I'm sure the newegg copy is the exact same as the big box bought one. Only problem was fedex messed up, and now I feel the extra bite of losing shipping costs and getting a "free" game.
Pros: Large screen, high def
Cons: Everything else. The base is odd, but stable I suppose. The thing that gets me is the screen. Blacks aren't black, they are gray. Everything is washed out looking, the colors are awful and the viewing angle is absurd. Usually you can get rid of the overbright and garish colors with some tinkering, but I had it for 3 hours trying to adjust the brightness and color and couldn't find a single arrangement to make my blacks black. Without black, games and movies have a horrible blur in them, so the resolution is great, if you don't mind a lot of blur, which kind of defeats the purpose of HD. The menus are also mostly disabled, which wasn't mentioned in the previous reviews.
Overall Review: I should have paid attention to what others were saying about this boat anchor. I'm now stuck with an RMA, which means I paid 10 bucks for shipping it to my house, 10 bucks back to newegg, and newegg is taking an extra 20 off the refund for my trouble.
Avoid this unless you want a costly rental of trash. Spend the extra 40 bucks and get a good monitor, or you'll spend it anyway and have nothing to show for it. I'm really glad I didn't give my old monitor away yet, I've never had a problem with acer products, but this one was wide of the mark.
