Does What It Should...

Crucial CTR2MMPU2 USB 2.0 SD/MMC Card ReaderCard Reader
Crucial CTR2MMPU2 USB 2.0 SD/MMC Card ReaderCard Reader

Comments: Bought this device to work with a two gigabyte A-Data 150X SD card. Although other devices whose reviews I read don't work with the 2GB cards, this one works just fine, and is pretty fast - I copied 1.6GB of data in just under 3 minutes. Device has a strange shape, which doesn't allow it to plug directly into my laptop at the same time as a mouse and ethernet cable, but it does include a USB extension cable, and hence I can use it. I would've given it a 5 if I didn't now need to carry this USB cable with me everywhere I go...

Doesn't Work For Me

Nippon Labs USB3-3MM Blue USB 3.0 A Male to A Male Cable
Nippon Labs USB3-3MM Blue USB 3.0 A Male to A Male Cable

Pros: Pretty "3.0 Blue" color, works great using USB 2.0. (two-point-oh).

Cons: Doesn't work with USB 3.0 using Nexstar CX external USB 3.0 drive. Drive powers up and the case light turns on, but doesn't make a connection.

Overall Review: Doesn't get me anywhere, I have regular USB 2.0 cables that do the exact same thing. Now, should I spend a couple of bucks to send back a $4 cable? Kind of a waste.

Very useful, does what you think

StarTech.com HSB220SAT25B 2 Drive 2.5in Trayless Hot Swap SATA Mobile Rack Backplane - Dual Drive SATA Mobile Rack Enclosure for 3.5 HDD
StarTech.com HSB220SAT25B 2 Drive 2.5in Trayless Hot Swap SATA Mobile Rack Backplane - Dual Drive SATA Mobile Rack Enclosure for 3.5 HDD

Pros: - Two 2.5" drives fit in a single 3.5" slot; saves case space - No need for any additional adapters (assuming you have a free 3.5" bay, of course) - Hot swappable* (see below)

Cons: - Slightly expensive - No security locking mechanism

Overall Review: This dual-tray setup is extremely useful, I use one bay for a boot drive and the second as a removable backup drive. You must make certain your BIOS has been set to AHCI mode for hot-swap support. Otherwise, the computer must be off when you swap. Drives slide in and out easily, there is a latching mechanism on the doors but no locking mechanism. One time (note: ONE time) I accidentally pulled out my system drive and crashed my computer; I'd like to see some way to security or "hard" lock the bays so I'd have to go through an extra step to get the drive(s) out when I wanted, to avoid any accidents. Overall, an extremely useful product, every 2.5" SSD (I have 3 from different manufacturers) and 2.5" hard drive (I have 7 from 4 different manufacturers) all fit perfectly and have worked beautifully. Highly recommended, would like to see a few bucks knocked off but I guess you can divide the price by two and get the amount it costs to manage each drive.

Took a chance

EAGLE ET-CS2PESU2-BK 2.5" Black SATA I/II USB 2.0 & eSATA External Enclosure with built-in USB cable
EAGLE ET-CS2PESU2-BK 2.5" Black SATA I/II USB 2.0 & eSATA External Enclosure with built-in USB cable

Pros: Easy to install, built-in USB cable, USB *and* eSATA ports, includes eSATA and USB cables. Other enclosures I've purchased didn't include an eSATA cable, but this one includes everything you need to use its functionality. Supports my 500GB drive although specs say only (up to) 320GB supported.

Cons: Design not as sleek as I'm used to but still decent, I guess. I would've liked a carrying pouch to store it in when traveling. Did NOT support my 640GB WD notebook drive, but I can't blame the enclosure since the specs state it would not.

Overall Review: Although the specs on this drive say it only works with (up to) 320GB drives, I took a chance and bought a 640GB WD Scorpio Blue drive in the hopes that it would work. The 640GB drive works fine when using eSATA, but only works with USB if I have the enclosure connected to the computer when I power the computer on. If I subsequently disconnect it, I can't get it to reconnect again without powering the computer off. I then installed a 500GB drive I have (WD S Blue again) and it works fine all the way around - both eSATA and USB, connect and disconnect with the computer on, exactly as one would expect. So I'm using it with my 500GB drive and I'm going to find another eSATA/USB enclosure for my 640GB drive. Overall, this is a great little enclosure and when using eSATA it is very fast. I plan to store TV shows on the drive in it: copy them to the device via eSATA then play them on my DVD player via the USB port. The external cable, while quite short, is perfect for that. Recommended.

FAASSSTTT!!!!

ADATA Turbo 2GB Secure Digital (SD) Flash Card Model Turbo SD 150X 2G
ADATA Turbo 2GB Secure Digital (SD) Flash Card Model Turbo SD 150X 2G

Comments: Big fast and, compared to other SD cards, very inexpensive! An excellent buy! Works perfectly with my digital camera. I got it along with a Crucial CTR2MMPU2 USB SD card reader (also from Newegg) and the card reader copies data from it VERY quickly! I would definitely buy this again!!
