The little vid card that could!!
Pros: An EXCELLENT card for the price I paid 4 months ago! Love it so much, in-fact, that I already have a second one on the way!!!
Cons: While I DO love EVGA and their out-of-the-box performance, Their stock cooler leaves much to be desired. To get decent cooling out of the centrally-placed fan, you really have to turn it up. But when you do, you'd better have some hearing protection handy, because it gets LOUD. Not so much a Con as it is really a warning.
Overall Review: Mind you, as mentioned, this is a rev.2 card. nVidia will show it as a "GTX 460 V2". So, for those of you looking to do SLI with your pre-existing 460's and 460SE's you're out of luck, because the nVidia software will recognize it as 2 seperate(read independant) chipsets and they will not play nicely together. Also, you might want to invest in a nice aftermarket heatpipe cooling solution.
Drivers = OY-VEY!! =o(
Pros: Basically, price. But, there are several alternatives out there now for the same going rate, so......
Cons: Whew! Where to begin! Well, drivers for one are completely junk. Just go ahead and throw the included disc away, and break out the Google and find a new set online(where? I dunno) I FINALLY got it working and it like to hang up every-so-often when changing channels.
Overall Review: Just go elsewhere for a USB TV-Tuner. Stay clear of KWORLD at ALL costs.
Excellent passive cooler
Pros: I was a bit concerned about it's construction, given it's size. However, after it's final install, the performance boost this gave my 9800GT was just beyond all expectations! I have it mounted on an EVGA 9800GT 512Mb card, and I was able to crank my EVGA Precision program way beyond the stock cooler's performance. Stock cooler would only get me 670core/1650shader/1080mem @ 62c load. The AC Accelero got me all the way up to 740c/1800shader/1202mem and I got nearly 3500+ pts on 3dmark06 over stock settings!
Cons: LOVE the performance, however the chipset heatsinks were a bit narrow on the bottom and the thermal tape didn't want to hold unless I applied a heatgun to help afix them to the power FETs. However, I know that this is a "universal" kit, so I shouldn't gripe about how it's not "suited" right for my 9800gt. I'm still happy. ;o)
Overall Review: I would probably suggest major HSF manufacturers to start including a higher-grade thermal compound. I stand behind Arctic Silver products, and (if applied correctly) know it would make all the difference in the world at improving performance of stock or OC'd chipsets.
Pros: I love the performance this heatpipe cooler provides. So far, I've OC'd my Phenom II x4 965 BE 3.4Ghz to 3.9Ghz and my temps are 81F idle and 98F load. I've got the fans operating on a drive bay fan controller and they're usually running @ 80% at all times since these fans are very quiet(conpared to the rest of my system fans at least) Definitely recommend this cooler!!! Perfect for OC'ing your AM3!
Cons: Cannot think of anything, as I was able to work around any issues I had fairly quickly
Overall Review: It's rather large, almost couldn't get to my motherboard mounting screws, but I was able to get them in with very little effort. Also, a more-positive gripe...... the copper surface of this cooler is so smooth, when I upgraded my from my Athlon II 250, the surface tension was so strong it pulled the CPU right out of the locked socket! Kinda scared me, but all was well.
Somewhat dis-satisfied thus far =o(
Comments: Bought this stick for my Sony F717. Since it had such an awesome price to it, I figured, ....why not? =o) Well, of the 4 other memory sticks that I own, this one has corrupted twice on me now. This most-recent time, I cannot recover it, or format it with the camera. *sigh* I'm just going to stick with Sony Memory sticks from now on. Their solid-state design hasn't let me down yet. On a positive note, I sent Newegg an email for RMA request, and they replied to me within 5 MINUTES!!!! Talk about AWESOME support, huh? So, I'll score my rating as follows: Product = 1 Newegg CS = 5 Final = 3
Excellent camera! Bar-none, the best I've ever used
Comments: I just got my F717 in last week, and have shot over 300 pictures with it already. This camera is nothing short of just phenominal. It's white-balancing, image-enhancement, such a huge array of variables to improve even the most AMETEUR of photographers. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
