Pros: Easily flashed from 4GB to 8GB. Don't have to worry about running out of VRAM for high texture settings, or mods. Card runs quiet at normal operating mode. Undervolted the last two P states to reduce temps, power consumption and increase overclocks.
It's a great deal for $199. Thank you AMD!
Cons: Wish there was a DVI port for older monitors
No PCIe power connector needed
From my sample, I was able to increase the core speed from the base of 1020 Mhz to a stable 1400 Mhz.
This card was put in is an old Dell E520 with a Core 2 Duo at 2.67 Ghz on a BTX motherboard; space is limited for the the single video card slot and length confinements (6.5 to 7 inches inches for the card length before it interferes with the cpu heatink fan shroud). This card fits lengthwise but due to the dual slot width, I had to remove the backplate and video card fan shroud to make it fit. The card doesn't have additional video ports on the second slot area so modification is possible.
No PCIe power cable from the stock 305 watt power supply so choice was limited to the fastest video card with an additional power connector.
I know I could have purchased a low-profile version of this card but I was afraid of the high noise level level from the small fan from these kinds of cards.
Was onsale and with rebate so I was a deal.
Overall Review: Wish this was a single card version, just like the reference card Nvidia model or a second single slot backplate accessory option was included.
