Is gud

Pros: - The NVIDIA GeForce GT 645M graphics card is superb for gaming. - The value of the hardware you get out of this laptop for the price is disgustingly awesome.
Cons: - This laptop has a tendency to try to optimize itself during the time of boot, especially after windows updates. This is a real pain because you can spend 10 or more minutes trying to get to your desktop if you are a regular, non-tech savvy end user. It seems to be a never ending freeze that occurs when you start this laptop. It will eventually get to the desktop. This is partly due to the new poor implementation of the EFI replacement over BIOS. - You can't replace the hard drive easily because now you have to deal with EFI (the BIOS is now a partition on the hard drive and not stored in firmware on the motherboard).
Overall Review: I bought this computer for video gaming while traveling. This has been a great investment. The GPU on this puppy is really powerful and it runs League of Legends, Runes of Magic, and Path of Exile very, very smoothly for me. I experience at least 30 FPS at the worst in big cities on Runes of Magic (which is really, really good), with an average of 60 FPS anywhere else. If you are looking for a low dollar gaming rig, then look no further, so long as you can put up with an insanely long boot time (if you dont know how to fix it, I have tried to fix it and gave up). I have my Masters in Computer Science and I have been tinkering with computers for 15 years, so when you read my review know that it is the opinion of an expert.

Pros: - The fan is quiet - The resources for the money are outstanding - Can run any game on max settings without error - Raptor tools from AMD make optimizing games to work with this card easy - Card runs cool from 40C to 75C even when playing games on max settings
Cons: - Card failed after 1 year 10 months of use which is acceptable (please see my important notes below) - Card is large in dimension (over 10 inches) - It does require the 6 pin connector
Overall Review: I am an avid gamer. I spend about 6-14 hours a day playing the most graphic intensive direct3d games on the market. I am the perfect stress test for video cards. I have used Nvidia and Radeon cards for years and not one I have ever had in 15 years has ever survived for more than 3 years. I go to lan parties and my equipment has moved all over the country. I beat my video cards up (figuratively). I've run them in environments with 0% humidity and 99% humidity. This card survived 1 year and 10 months of vigorous gaming before it failed. Even now it is still able to do simple tasks such as allowing me to write this review, even when it won't run graphic intensive games. Most people would give this a low rating for having failed within the first 2 years of use, but not me. For as much as I have beaten this card up, having almost lasted 2 years has been a good product life in my opinion.
