ASUS Desktop PC CM6870-US-3AB Intel Core i7-3770 16GB DDR3 2TB HDD Intel HD Graphics 4000 Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit
ASUS Desktop PC CM6870-US-3AB Intel Core i7-3770 16GB DDR3 2TB HDD Intel HD Graphics 4000 Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit

Pros: This is a great machine, ASUS has put a top notch processor and tons of memory into a mid tower frame and tried to conceal it as a "mid-level" product. Intel markets the i7 as the top of the line versus the i5 as mid level and i3 as base. I'm not fooled ASUS, this is some serious power and with a few upgrades it's clearly high end. The Intel HD 4000 integrated card is impressive and doesn't need upgrading unless you're a gamer fiend. Additionally, the video card being integrated, you're not forced to overcommit to a card that will likely be outmuscled in a few months as the other setups for this machine appear to be geared that way. You can get a cheaper Nvidia GTX or wait a little longer for one rather than having a GT or less capable GTX out the box. Don't understimate the HD 4000! 16GB is just delicious at this point in time and well ahead of all "mid-end" machines and some poser "high-end" machines. A 2 TB HDD hard drive is the perfect compliment to this machine.

Cons: 300W power supply? I just realized that I had a machine, nearly ten years old, with specs that would make a tablet laugh out loud and it had a 375W power supply. A cheap upgrade to a nice Rosewill power supply makes all the difference and lets you set the stage for this machine to last for years to come. The hard drive runs at 5400 rpm? A scooter revs higher and it should at least be 7200 rpm but it's not a big deal and I'm very happy. Not really a con but still... as soon as I started raving to my friends about the 3AB, they go on to newegg only to discover its out of stock. I'm not suprised, it was a great deal!

Overall Review: I recommended this 3AB setup as excellent bang for the buck. With a few upgrades, power supply (somewhat needed), hard drive (less need), powerful graphics card (only for extreme gamers), you'll be in disbelief that you ever paid more than $1,000.00 for a high-end desktop.

No contest

Rosewill 7-sheet Cross-Cut Paper, Credit Card and Staples Shredder (RSH-407CB)
Rosewill 7-sheet Cross-Cut Paper, Credit Card and Staples Shredder (RSH-407CB)

Pros: The little engine that could. Despite being significantly less expensive than most shredders this thing performs impressively every time. Rosewill is serious and so is this shredder. Seven pages at a time is impressive for a unit of this size. It comes with the bin which is just that much more convenient

Cons: On the small side.

Overall Review: I hesitated when I ordered it thinking that I would get what I paid for with other companies selling for much more. Will not hesitate again.
