Working perfectly with my intel nuc BOXNUC7CJYH1

Pros: excellent memory
Cons: price. I believe it should be cheaper
kept freezing, and ethernet port failed

Pros: small profile, low power consumption
Cons: not well made
Overall Review: I couldn't keep this machine continuously working without freezing. Moreover, It was very disappointing for me that after owning so many PCs my first Intel gives me a great headache. The network port stopped working and under Linux freezes too much. My PC never has these problems.
For a NUC... Awesome

Pros: Very fast for normal tasks: Web, basic gaming, virtualization, etc
Cons: Does not have a dedicated GPU
Overall Review: I am migrating from an old celeron based nuc. This one runs all my stuff extremely well. I was able to pass all my Crucial DDR4 memory (32GB) to this one and also the SSD. Linux Mint 19 with its latest updates is running quite well. I suggest to increase the video memory to the max values at the BIOS and stop secured boot.
So far, very good for the price

Pros: Low energy Linux Compatible Good speed for many apps Using 32GB memory while specs say this machine can maximum support 8
Cons: for the money and the goals I have for this nuc... no cons
Overall Review: I purchased another NUC model before this one and I had to return it. However, in this case, this one is working very well. It took me some time to install Linux Mint 18.3 XFCE edition and so far this machine is performing quite well. I can inclusive watch TV with my old USB TV tunner (but I had to set the video card shared memory to max settings). If you need a cheap PC to use for normal tasks like web browsing, git repo, samba share, basic http server, etc then this is your answer. Note: I just notice I can not use Bluetooth or Wifi within Linux Mint 18. This is not a problem for me at present but I hope Intel or the Linux community will provide their respective drivers. ADD INFO: I just installed the latest version of Lubuntu (18.04) and I got Bluetooth Wifi, and this little box is running pretty well for its goals: git repo, metv, web browing, etc etc Update: I installed the next memory on this nuc: https://www.newegg.com/crucial-16gb-260-pin-ddr4-so-dimm/p/1X5-001S-002N6?Item=9SIADRH9DB3729 and my nuc recognizes it with no problems. Even Intel specs says thie nuc is Max 8gb. But this memory is working quite well giving 16gb to my nuc. UPDATE: Upgraded this machine to 32Gb mem using two 16 GB Crucial Memory modules. Having a lot of fun with it.
Good laptop with a weak point

Pros: Linux Compatible Very fast Up-gradable
Cons: - Few ports - This is the first laptop I got where network connections need to use a fixed ip address at network ports
Overall Review: Finally I got this machine to work as I basically wanted. I had to use an option called nomodeset for the installation of Linux Mint 19 and install the correct driver. Now I have Windows/Linux Mint 19 on dual boot. I still feel uncomfortable with the battery's motherboard connector. My old Asus laptop is far more reliable respect of the change of the battery. So, if this FX705GM laptop needs the battery to be changed it is very important to be deeply careful because the pins used at the FX705GM motherboard's battery connector are very very delicate and easy to bent. Note: I am giving my review after I upgraded my laptop replacing both internal drives with ssd Western Digital ones and added 16GB Crucial memory.
Quite super compatible memory and fast enough

Pros: Super compatible and fast enough
Cons: none
Overall Review: Working very well! It proved to be super compatible. More compatible than so many other memory modules. I have an intel NUC BOXNUC7CJYH1 that is very picky with memory and it seems that this Crucial memory is quite compatible with my NUC which recognizes and boots with this memory with no problems at all (other brands fail miserably according to the Intel site). In fact, Intel itself says that this nuc is 8Gb max but this memory made my Nuc to use 16gb. I am so happy with this memory. I might purchase another.
Wonderful memory
I ordered two memory modules one after the other. The first one has been a great success while I am still awaiting for the second one.
Product arrived well. but after 10 days
I had to wait nearly 12 days for my product to be delivered by UPS-USPS system. I do not understand why this seller used this system. 12 days? I am glad I received my package in very good condition.
