I thought I was buying from New Egg and I thought I was buying a new drive. Be careful when ordering from New Egg that you only select them as the seller if that is what you want. It took quite a bit longer to arrive than anything I've ordered from New Egg before. When the drive arrived I found the metallic sleeve had been cut open so I had no way of knowing if it was a new drive or a used one. Then my PC wouldn't boot up so I had no way of knowing if it was related to the new drive or not. Fortunately I got it to boot and I was able to format the drive and start using it. For a week I was upset with myself for not being careful enough when I placed my order but now I'm thoroughly happy with the drive. All I can say is buyer beware.
