Pros: So it does do what it is supposed to do at this point. I hate to jinx it but, it working awesome now.
Cons: Lots of electrical wires you don't need.
Overall Review: So as a bonus feature, when I ordered it did not know it would work like this which is good. I know there was an on/off button for each drive. Wasn't too keen on that before I ordered it. Now that all my drives are in their slots (4 drives), I am able to turn off the ones I don't need at that moment. When they were in the computer, they always ran. I have in the past lost drives for varies reasons, none of which I am aware of, they just stopped working, Now they don't run as much so should save the life of the drive.I can have my computer on, and if I don't need to use the drives, keep them off. One drive ran very hot, so I need to get a fan I guess and have the fan blow on it when it's on. So to summon up, I like it at the present time. It is exactly what I needed.
Pros: Plays all the Ultra movies I have put in there so far.
Overall Review: Follow the specs that Anonymous has and you can play 4K Movies. I can play them now with this drive. I do recommend this drive as it works awesome for me.
Pros: Works really well, so well I ordered another one for a different room.
Cons: Not free! Would have given it Ten stars if it was free.
Overall Review: Lifetime warranty is always good.
Pros: It works, if someone else's died just got a bad batch I would say.
Cons: Would like it to be Ultra
Pros: I agree with others. If you have an ssd, you don't need it. My ssd seems to be quicker without than with. This is the plus side what I just said.
Cons: The software Intel provides separately, and the instructions they have on how to install it on a usb drive before you load Windows 10, is very confusing. The first file I needed to extract they didn't say where to find it. The rest they did. I guess I am also not smart enough to follow those directions. Maybe Intel can send what is needed through an update from Microsoft to fix the problem. Put the files needed in an update. Maybe through their updates through Intel Driver Updates.
Overall Review: The software said bios unsupported and ASRock also was very vague about how to install.
Without the Optane Memory my computer is doing so much better.
Buy it if you want, or don't buy it if you want. Not everyone will have the same experience...Or....maybe.... close experience, to same experience.
Pros: Works like I need it to at this time. The jumpers are set to esata, need to change them if you use the sata. I bought it for the esata ports.
Overall Review: Most add on cards I have tried in the past don't work, or don't work for long. We will see on this one. Does work excellent.
Pros: Looks good and nice.
Cons: Well right from the start it wanted to format my drives. I canceled and restarted and it read all of my drives, trying to get into one to use it, the icon kept turning and turning and could never really get into one. Two of my drives finally failed and one of them had stuff I really needed. So I put that drive back into my computer and my computer no longer read it. Couldn't find the drive. So under disk management I saw it but Had to format it to use it. Bam!!!! Went my stuff. I formatted it and then put it back in the dock and it read it and I formatted it again with it in the dock, still couldn't access it. Now drive number 2 won't work at all now saying drive is corrupted. Can't get it to do anything. The thing is, that before both drives worked. You buy something brand new you expect it to work. Tech support can say all day long that this is not normal and it is covered by their warranty, it doesn't change the fact that I lost some important stuff. Some of it was backed up on a DVD, but not all of it. And doesn't changed the fact that two of my drives don't work now. Now I have to buy two more drives now. I guess people who it works for should feel lucky!
Overall Review: I am not going to say not to buy it. Make your own mind up. I won't by another one, and probably gonna RMA this one since I cannot get it to work at all.
Pros: At this time it is stable. I have always had good experiences with Extreme boards. I was hoping since it had the + behind it, it had the wireless adapter. Most extreme boards do come with it if it has the + behind it. No not this one!! It's ok I knew it before I bought it.
I gave 5 eggs because at the present time it is!
Cons: All brands need to add an extra USB header on the motherboard because most to all water coolers take one to run. I do have a full size case which needs both plugs to run the USB plugs on the front of the case. So with a liquid cooler it takes one of these plugs. This board has three but the 3.1 front plugs that come with it takes one. It also came scratched from the factory, it was still sealed is how I know. I skipped the 3.1 adapter because I don't have any devices that run the 3.1. They need to slow down on the speed of the USB plugs until the devices catch up. Can't find a 3.1 printer or 3.0 at that.
Overall Review: If you are going to plug up more than one cd drive, plug up one to the bootable sata along with your hard drive or it will freeze up on you.
Pros: Worked when I first got it.
Cons: I have had this board for about 3 months now, and it started freezing up, when I went to reload everything, it kept hanging on the Lan drivers and video drivers. Couldn't get passed the drivers, and this includes the current ones on the web site.
As far as the raid drivers, they may be on the web site but they do not work. The raid drivers on the cd are out of date and the ones on the web site you get the "WHEA UNCORRECTABLE ERROR"
Bios is updated.
I have always bought ASRock and never again will I get ASUS. ASRock motherboards even though I am having a problem are still better than anyones.
Now just because others and myself are having issues doesn't mean you will. I also have an X99 Extreme 6 and it's awesome.
So if it's something you want get it.
It's hard to pick one with all the negative reviews these days. The only reason I did a review is for ASRocks benefit so maybe they can fix the problems since we are having mostly the same issues on the future boards.
Make your own decision and if you really want it get it.
Overall Review: The Fatal1ty boards no I will not ever get again, but ASRock boards yes. Have had 2 Fatal1ty boards and both have failed. The Extreme boards seemed to be better. The reason for 1 egg is it did fail and does not work at this time.
Pros: None as of yet. See other thoughts.
Cons: Doesn't work with printers
Overall Review: The specifications show printers as well as other devices. It however does not work with printers the plug is different shape. I can't find a printer that will take it. I was told I could get a refund, but 3.99....not worth returning. Maybe in the future I can use it for something. The only reason I took off two eggs is because seeing that printers are on the specifications is why I bought it. I am only writing this for people who want this item for a printer, unless you know it will fit, don't get it for that reason. Just don't want other people to do the same as I did.
I am not bashing the product just informing.
I am sure the cable will work ok on other devices, don't have other devices that call for it.
Pros: Works fine no issues at this time. I have bought a set of four months back and both times worked right out of the box.
Cons: None. The first time I bought them they were 499. Now 219. Half the price. I guess wait when new stuff comes out for about six months so it will be half price when you do buy it.
Overall Review: Have always used GSkills memory and at this time will always use them.
Pros: Works,,,,Bought this card mainly for watching movies on the big screen. Did I mention it Works....
Cons: See other thoughts....None at this time.
Overall Review: When I installed this card it worked for about 10 mins. then quit. I pulled the card out and reinserted it and no go. I changed PCIe slots and it's working as of now. Maybe I have a bad PCIe slot on my motherboard. Two days later and it's still working. So maybe it's me. But it is working and doing fine at this time.
Pros: I needed this card to hook up a ATA DVD drive because my other raid card won't fit in my X99 board.
The DVD drive does work and that's all that matters to me.
Overall Review: It works so far without any issues.
Pros: So far okay. I play this with StarCraft II and so far does not lag at all. Even my 7970 lags some. This is by far the best card I have had.
Cons: Price! Other than that...None!!
Overall Review: It is big, but I have a Rosewill BlackHawk Ultra Super Tower and it fits just fine.
Pros: I have a Corsair H100i and it runs at 33c. It seems to run okay. Haven't looked at it on full load.
Had an AMD 8 core and this one beats it hands down.
Overall Review: I did spread out the thermal paste before I read that on some reviews. Glad I did. Hope I put enough!
Pros: This board is working fine. So far no issues except the one I mention in the cons. Other than that the board works great.
Cons: There is the issue where when I team up the adapters, my internet won't connect. I unteam them and it connects. This is with Windows 8.1. Haven't tried this board with 7.
Not sure why. It does the same with my Z97 board only on 8.1. Windows 7 on the Z97 works.
No egg taken off.
Overall Review: ASRock is the only one that I can find that has the ultra M.2.
Pros: I have zero issues with this drive as I have had no problems with Seagate drives. There are a lot of people out there who seemed to have issues with Seagate, I have not had any. Seagate is all I buy. I own about 6 drives from Seagate.
Cons: Price!! Still too expensive.
Overall Review: Now watch me have issues since I said I haven't had any.
Pros: I have one of these drives and I can tell you with my right raise to the truth and nothing but the truth...It's awesome!!
It is better than my Samsung EVO Pro ssd.
Overall Review: If I ever get another ssd drive besides the M.2 drive, it will be another one of these.
Pros: I want to update my last review. The drive is doing a lot better now. Windows 7 will load and 8.1 boots faster now. Overall progress is better. Maybe it was just me.
Overall Review: It does work on ASRock's Fatal1ty 990FX Killer board. You will need however to disable the IDE and Sata Combined Mode to have better performance which I did not do the first time around. It does not seemed faster than my OCZ Vector 150 ssd drive.
Overall Review: Updating from my last review. This card died in about 8 months. The warranty is covering it, but it is taking about a month to get it back. For the price you would think that it would last longer.
Pros: I just bought the AMD FX 9370. For all you people out there who wanted to know whether it would not work on the MB, well I am here to tell you that mine did. It may still be a hit or miss, but it worked for me. I had already had the current bios apparently, maybe that's why it worked.
They do not need to include the instructions, as it does zero good. Not explained well at all.
I haven't tried overclocking it yet, most have said you can't, we will see in the near future. I do recommend this board and the new FX Processor to go with it.
Cons: None at this time.
Overall Review: Buy it and enjoy.
Pros: The item works as advertised.
Overall Review: I don't know why others say that they haven't received their item, ever! I received mine within the time frame I ordered it. I will purchase again and do suggest this seller.
Pros: Just so every knows, not sure if anyone wants to do this, but here is an adapter that I found that may solve that problem of using 2 usb ports from your laptop.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA25V0PK6029 This item is available from new egg..
Cons: Cons are that you have to spend more money for something that should have come with it.
Overall Review: Just FYI for people who have bought it. I guess this will work. I hope.
Pros: These sticks do what they are supposed to do.
Overall Review: It would be nice not to have to go into bios to set these sticks to run higher. Maybe one day it will be invented to automatically do this on it's own. If someone doesn't want to run it higher, then they can go and change it in the bios. Most people in my opinion who buy the 2133 are buying it to run at the higher speed. It you don't want the higher speed then buy the normal 1333. All memory is like this, so don't not buy this memory because of this. This is still good memory.
At the present time G.Skill is all I buy now. My other computer has G.Skill. 1333 Memory.
Just saying, still no cons.
Pros: I am usually an MSI fan. Bought 2 from them and had to send both in because of problems. I bought this card mainly because of what Tom's Hardware's review was. This card had done so far awesome. I may be an ASRock buyer now.
Overall Review: I have talked to their customer support just about general things, no issues, and they were awesome. I likes the 10 sata ports and the 2 USB 3.0 headers. Fits in my Roswill super tower just perfect.
To the ASRock team, Thank You for a great card!!
