Pros: 5 YEAR WARRANTY SATA III Fast Drive OCZ Toolbox Upgraded from a Kingston SSDNow V-Series SATA III
Cons: Slow if you actually put stuff on it A comical sticker instead of a gamer case sticker The reality letdown (Check Wall of Text Below)
Overall Review: With a 128GB hard drive its hard that any normal user wouldn't use at least half of that. My numbers from my benchmark are with my drive 55% full using AS SSD 1.6.4237.30508 and on the 1.5 Firmware (Already installed). "Sustained Sequential Read" What the page says "Up to 560 MB/s" What I actually got "375.15 MB/s" Kingston got "235.25 MB/s" "Sustained Sequential Write" What the page says "Up to 430 MB/s" What I actually get "361.72 MB/s" Kingston got "180.92 MB/s" "4KB Random Read" What the page says "Up to 90,000 IOPS" What I actually get "50,217 IOPS" "4K Random Write" What the page says "Up to 120,000 IOPS" What I actually get "45,784 IOPS" Yes trim is enabled in Windows, AHCI Enabled, SATA III everythings installed correctly and running on an AsRock Z77 Extreme4 board. I'm not trying to write this to discourage anyone because all SSD's will slow down from the amount of space is being used I'm just trying to give those interested buyers who plan on actually using more than 60GB some ideal benchmarks of where they'll be. And don't get me wrong this is still way faster than a SATA 2 SSD especially in accessing times and you can't go wrong if you picked this up on Black Friday on sale. All in all it's a great drive that wasn't DOA and is welcomed into my gaming rig. Just wish it had a better sticker than the "My SSD is faster than your HDD" to put with all the other parts. --Quick SSD Tips!-- Never defrag an SSD, Windows 8 allows you to Optimize instead of Defrag which simply tells the SSD Trim Hints across the drive to help with garbage clean up. If you have another drive move the Paging File to that drive and disable it on the SSD to help keep you're write cycles down low. You should always have a little paging file in case of memory leaks, and some programs straight up don't work right without it. Check Device Manager to make sure all you're drivers are installed for your AHCI and SATA controller. To check if trim is enabled in Windows 7 + 8 run Command Prompt as Administrator and type " fsutil behavior query DisableDeleteNotify" if the result is 0 it is working properly. ~Happy Holidays!
Great Powersupply & Rebate
Pros: 3 Year Warranty! Great build quality Cheap price on sale Quiet Great for the every day gamer (Single card GPUs)
Cons: No sticker to put on your case
Overall Review: Anyone wondering why there is a pin missing on the 20 pin (-5V) that is because they removed it from the ATX12V standard in January 2002. It was used to for old hardware which is now quite outdated. So don't go writing DOA when your PSU tester says no -5V.
Pros: Micro ATX Cost Support for Ivy Bridge! Multi-Monitor support Sata 3
Cons: No free shipping?
Overall Review: This is an H61 Chipset which is limited to 2 ram slots. Also it doesn't include Intel Rapid Storage, Active Management, Trusted Execution, Smart Response, or Raid. Just in case anyone was wondering.
Pros: Metal case Quiet Lightweight Actually looks nice compared to most Micros
Cons: Plastic front Cheap feeling button No tuck away cable management on the back
Overall Review: I had a fun time trying to make the case as air efficient as possible keeping the cables on the backside and tucked away without the cable hide away groves in the back, but granted it IS possible.
Great for budge computer builds
Pros: Great Price 4 cores with Hyper Threading FAST Intel HD 3000
Overall Review: By no means is this to a gaming CPU, if anything you should be getting an i5, its well worth the money. If you need a good solid CPU for a media or home computer that's fast this is your best bet in terms of intel. I'd almost suggest waiting if you can for the i3 Ivy Bridge CPU's since the GPU performance is more powerful, that is if you are going to be using the integrated GPU, and it will be around the same cost as the sandy bridge.
