Very disappointing10/22/2020 9:57:14 PM

Pros: - Good ergonomics for larger hands - Good switch tactility for most switches

Cons: - Terrible battery life on 2.4GHz wireless - Confusing/inaccurate status indicator lights - No storage area for USB receiver - iCue software is just awful - Limited lifespan

Overall Review: I really wanted to like this mouse, and I did...at first. I was very happy for the first week, even with the embarrassingly bad iCue software, which I already had installed because of my Corsair K70 LUX RGB keyboard. Plenty of other people have already written extensively about the problems with iCue, so I won't bother here. Other than the confusing iCue configuration issues, the first real problem I had was with the battery life. I gave the mouse a full charge before using it, and a week later it was dead (I was using the 2.4GHz connection so I can't report on the Bluetooth connection battery life). If there was ever any indication that the battery was low, I didn't notice it. I ended up using the USB cord and it started responding again. I figured that I'd just use as a corded mouse while it recharged. This was when I realized there was no storage area on the mouse for the USB receiver. At first I thought I was missing some cleverly hidden compartment. Nope. Even the cheapest no-name wireless mice have a storage area for the USB receiver. Not this one. After letting it charge overnight connected via the USB cable, I was back in business, but after a few days, the same thing happened. I was never able to get more than a week of battery life. I still don't know if it was the 2.4GHz connection or the iCue software interfering with the normal inactivity hibernate functionality. Eventually, I just gave up and was using it as a USB corded mouse...until the scroll wheel broke. The only gaming I ever did with this mouse was some casual WoW and I never used the scroll wheel as a button. I wasn't even gaming when the scroll wheel broke, just scrolling down some web page and suddenly no more scroll. The wheel went perfectly smooth, no more notches. I think the wheel spindle broke. It seems to be canted off to one side now. Definitely NOT worth the price. Between the iCue software and this mouse, I've really soured on Corsair products in general.
