Great reliable Drive
Pros: At our company we custom build our workstations we have bought 9 of these 860 EVO drives and approx. 50 of the 850 evo drives and about 6 of the 960 evo M.2 drives spanning over a year back and we have'nt had to replace one yet, also the speed is consistent and fast expecially the M.2 drives
Cons: not being able to purchase more than three at a time, not a samsung issue though
Overall Review: I have been working in IT for approx. 27 years and I would recomend these drives to anyone
Once again no good
Pros: there is nothing good about Gigabyte products
Cons: I looked up on Gigabytes site and ordered supported memory and msata and still get Low memory error if left on over night they say it is a windows 8.1 problem but I can use the exact same mstata and memory on a intel nuc same OS same programs and no issues. In my experience Gigabyte has always had issues but I thought I would give them one more try (never again) have tried everything from changes to paging file updates trying different mem and msata's from their supported hardware list, no results since april of this year 2014
Overall Review: I will never buy Gigabyte products again, and in case you are wondering I have 23 years experience working on Computers and 14 of those years as a It manager in 75-100 workstation 5-10 server environment, Not saying I know everything, but I have a very good understanding of computer technology.
2 great builds
Pros: I have built 2 builds using this board and I find it to be a very stable build. used 4 Samsung evo SSD 120gb in a raid 10 on one build and 4 Samsung pro 512gb drives on the other both used ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 STRIX-GTX1060-6G-GAMING 6GB 192-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready Video Card, Intel Core i7-6800K Broadwell-E 6-Core 3.4 GHz LGA 2011-v3 140W BX80671I76800K Desktop Processor, and HyperX Savage 32GB (4 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3000 (PC4 24000) Desktop Memory Model HX430C15SB2K4/32 and the corsair h110i water cooler
Cons: I noticed when installing the heat sink you have to make sure you have even pressure on the processor or it can cause some pins not to make contact properly and the memory won't register/show but I think this is a socket 2011v3 issue not ASUS as I have seen that happen on other boards. so be careful of that and you'll be fine.
Overall Review: I have built with some of the more expensive boards but I didn't see the gain for the money and had a couple of stability issue with them, for this processor I pick this board for stability
