Exactly as advertised
Sabrent USB 2.0 to Serial (9-Pin) DB-9 RS-232 Adapter Cable 6ft Cable with Hexnut connectors (SBT-FTDI)
Pros: Exactly as advertised: plugged it in, downloaded the newest driver from Microsoft online, and it's running perfectly. Good find on sale. Going to go try a few different uses this week and make sure, but it looks like it's good to go. Newest driver at MS was 4/10/2012.
Cons: Wasn't free? Doesn't make me a samich?
Overall Review: Going to use this to talk to many different types of devices since new laptop doesn't have serial and many of the video presentation devices require it for programming.

Sanyo LMP-111 bulbs
So far one of the three has blown up in my face (literally as I was powering it up for the first time with the new bulb). No high hopes for the others. I guess that's what I get for shopping around, but it's hard to know who is getting a good bulb these days.
