Pros: Updated Extender Small Gigabit 1080P
Cons: Price is a little high for most people, but if it works the way they say, I will buy 2 more (not inlcuding the 3 I already have on pre-order)...
Overall Review: I have 3 of these on pre-order and am looking forward to them coming in. I have been running MCE for over 6 years now and use it on 4 different TV's throughout the house and love it. After doing some research on Ceton and the Ceton Echo, I have also just finished building a new Media Center Server just to run these. The new system has a 3rd Generation i7 CPU running at 4.4GHz, 32GB of PC3 12800 Memory, 8 HD Digital TV Tuners (2 x Ceton Infintv 4 PCIe Cards), 128GB Samsung 830 SSD for Windows 7 Operating System and 2 Terabytes of data storage configured in a RAID 10 array. Now I know this is a lot of money spent and to me it’s cheaper than my current layout (each of the 4 TV's has a dedicated 7MC System with an HD Tuner, Video, 8GB Ram, and HD Space) but like I mentioned above, I have been using MCE for many years and I use nothing else (No DVR's from the Cable Comp, only HD Boxes) so to me it’s worth it. I just hope the Echo lives up to what it says it can do....
NMI: Parity Error
Pros: It has Both IDE and SATA II Raid
Cons: Would not install in Windows Server 2003. I bought 2 of these cards. I tried each on in each of the 2 servers and no matter what, I would always get the NMI: Parity Error when this drive was Enabled!!! Requested RMA and returning!
Overall Review: Even after contacting both Koutech and JMicron (Chip Manufacture) they were no Help what so ever!
