Nice HTPC case

SILVERSTONE Black Aluminum front door and plastic front panel, 0.8mm SECC body Grandia Series GD06B ATX Media Center / HTPC Case
SILVERSTONE Black Aluminum front door and plastic front panel, 0.8mm SECC body Grandia Series GD06B ATX Media Center / HTPC Case

Pros: Small(ish) footprint, sleek looks, good motherboard compatibility, USB 3.0 ports for future upgrade

Cons: Power Supply space, drive bay design

Overall Review: Bought this case to house a HTPC to make re-use of an old LGA775 Core 2 Duo chip. I plan on beefing up the system later as I upgrade parts on the main computers in the home. I like the smaller depth of this unit, although it comes at a cost of power supply size. I bought the smallest modular power supply I could find (6.3" depth) and it was still about 15-20mm too deep and will not fit with the drive bays. So modular power supply is not an option. I recommend 140mm depth or lower to have a little bit of clearance between the fiddly drive bay assembly and the power supply.

Pain to set up

PLANTRONICS Over-The-Ear Bluetooth Headset w/ Noise-Cancelling Microphone / Multipoint / Up to 8 Hours Talk Time (Voyager 520)
PLANTRONICS Over-The-Ear Bluetooth Headset w/ Noise-Cancelling Microphone / Multipoint / Up to 8 Hours Talk Time (Voyager 520)

Pros: inexpensive, comfortable, durable

Cons: pain to set up /synch

Overall Review: We have 2 of these, they are a pain to synch up with bluetooth laptops to use as a "headphone". no problems getting it set up on a PS3 for voice comm though.

Broken

Cuisinart EM-100IHR Espresso Maker Silver
Cuisinart EM-100IHR Espresso Maker Silver

Pros: Looks nice sitting on the counter

Cons: The unit arrived broken, the water tank on the back has a leak in it so the machine is useless. I've had a ticket in with Cuisinart/Conair, they asked for information (which I gave promptly) and a few weeks later I still have not heard back. If they are not going to do anything at least they could tell me so I can stop waiting and try to fix their broken product myself.

Overall Review: I'm not sure what the QA process is for verifying a refurbished unit, you would think it involves at least putting water through it. This defect should never have made it out the door.

wish PS3 controllers felt like this

Logitech F310 Wired Gamepad Controller Console Like Layout 4 Switch D-Pad PC - Blue
Logitech F310 Wired Gamepad Controller Console Like Layout 4 Switch D-Pad PC - Blue

Pros: Quality built, good logitech utility, responsive buttons, comfortable

Cons: cable is not long enough to sit on the couch

Overall Review: I use these for playing emulator & arcade style games on the computer. I wish our PS3 controllers felt this comfortable, and the D-Pad is so much better on the logitech. Too bad they are not wireless...

Price/Sound/Portability can't be beat

Boombug SPLW11-1 BLK Portable Mini Premium Speaker
Boombug SPLW11-1 BLK Portable Mini Premium Speaker

Pros: Good sound for size, charges by USB and has good battery life

Cons: Not very bassy but hey it's so small

Overall Review: I bring this around with my work laptop, it is far better than the computer speakers (especially when it is docked), and it could be plugged into a tablet or whatever else to give it a more clear/loud volume. It's great!

Best mouse I've used

Corsair Vengeance M60 Black 8 Buttons 1 x Wheel USB Wired Laser 5700 dpi Performance, FPS Gaming Mouse
Corsair Vengeance M60 Black 8 Buttons 1 x Wheel USB Wired Laser 5700 dpi Performance, FPS Gaming Mouse

Pros: Good for big hand/palm gripadjustible weights, durable, smooth, Corsair utility for this mouse is awesome

Cons: Sniper button makes it harder to move when I'm holding it down

Overall Review: I keep trying out new mice to find the "perfect" one, this one is the closest I've come. It is fairly large so fits a big hand decently, and the adjustible weights mean you can tune it to your preference. Same goes for the utility, you can play with the polling rate, dpi, and there is another setting for acceleration. The M90 may have been a more fitting buy but the price was right on this one, I am not disappointed.
