Ok board. Awful support
Pros: Attractive, nice feature set, nice price, overclocks well.
Cons: PCI-E slots do not work as expected on the model I received. Essentially, the first two PCI-E slots work fine if used independently, but if you try to use them both, the first one is disabled, making things like SLI and Crossfire a non starter. Oddly enough the second PCI-E slot still works. This isn't a driver issue, as the problem manifests itself immediately in BIOS. That's an issue, but one that ought to be fixable. Unfortunately, ASRock's tech support has so far been awful. They've provided me with nothing in terms of useful support and have taken a very long time to do it. Often I won't get a reply for days on end, and when I finally do get a reply, it's pretty clear that the person replying hasn't bothered taking the time to read through the information I've given them. When I wrote them that I expected and needed better, the reply came in the form of an insult, essentially saying that most people are too stupid to follow directions anyway, so why bother.
Overall Review: It's a real shame, because this seems like a quality product. Defects happen. What it lacks is quality support. Unfortunately, I'd have to recommend staying away from ASRock products until you can verify that they have improved their customer support.
