Pros: Very powerful card with excellent modern features. The board itself is surprisingly small considering other cards in its class are fairly large. The cooling system on this particular card is the exhaust type that is preferable for SLI setups and functions well for me. On top of all of this, you can't beat nVidia drivers and in games that support PhysX this card has no trouble performing those tasks.
Cons: The cooling shroud is fairly flimsy and was clearly designed to save production costs. I don't particularly like the placement of the power connectors as it's difficult to make the cable manageable.
Overall Review: I would have no problem purchasing another PNY card when the time comes to upgrade to SLI.
Pros: hours of entertainment, great gameplay, original story and superb quality.. its hard to find a game this detailed and original. the artwork book, making-of DVD, and lunchbox case are all really cool too!! if you liked oblivion at all, you'll feel right at home with this one
Cons: collector's edition games are always more expensive but its well worth it!!
Overall Review: im definitely glad i purchased the collector's edition.. in my opinion, one of the best games of the year!
Pros: Good Framerates in games, Low Price, supports DX10, small size
Cons: Runs pretty Hot
Overall Review: i was on the lookout for a cheap but decent graphics card for my new build.. i read a lot of reviews on this card and all of em said that its rly not the best gaming card.. i went ahead n bought anyway n im absolutely more than pleased! i ran STALKER at 1024X768 on medeum/high settings and never get lag (except my memory).. i tried all the HL2 or just Source games for that matter.. maxed out the graphics settings and i dont even drop below 40FPS anytime! not onl y that but id like to see how it performs with DX10 games. overall a great buy.. i only have a midrange system and i can run games no problem.. just upgraded from my old X1600PRO.. its a significant difference!
Pros: Very powerful, Very well built, SLi, Crossfire, etc compatible, the modular cables are a nice touch.. helps cable management..
Cons: not necessarily a con but one of the pci-e connectors are embedded into the cabling (not modular) and theres two extra slots for two more pci-e cables..
Overall Review: very solid and powerful PSU and seems to be very reliable also.. highly reccomended for enthusiasts!
Pros: This game first off is amazing! the graphics are top notch, running off the same graphics engine as FEAR. The enemy AI is really smart . and the overall gameplay/storyline goes really well with the environment.
Cons: slow walking, the graphics engine demands a lot of power to run a game like this. if you can run fear, you can run this.
Overall Review: This game is one that you just have see for its graphical and intelligent magnificance! The AI is really what got my attention and enemys react very well to your every move. The whole "grab whatever you can to fight with" idea is really well done and is still a bit scary sometimes. this game deffinatly a different experience from most FPS. Just that most people havent heard of this one. If you like survival horror/ intense action games, this is for you!!!
Pros: This is a great price/performance card. I run FEAR at 1024 res. at med/high settings w/ no problem. HL2 Lost Coast runs good at 1280 res. w/ HDR. Good heatsink/fan
Cons: Dual slot cooler, no flatout game, GDDR2... not GDDR3.
Overall Review: I gotr this one cuz i wanted to overclock it to XT speeds and i figured w/ that hewatsink i could... i even put my own ramsinks on it. it didnt everclock as much as i wanted... especially not the ram. only got leik 40 mhz increase on ram and 70 mhz increase on GPU which was good. still overall great card. Im so glad it has all the new features leik SM3 and specialized for HDR and Adaptive Antialiasing. only if it could really run those features alittle better. my HL2 Lost Coast w/ HDR only gets leik 30 FPS overclocked. :(
Pros: oh yeah... theres also a ton of extras in the game leik new weapons
and game modes that arent on the gamecube version!
Pros: Addictive gameplay,
well done animations/graphics,
smart enimies that accualy respond to threats!
camera angles are much better
Cons: no strafing left or right,
the graphics are good and all but it uses large pixels.
not scary... so what its not silent hill. lol
Overall Review: the gameplay is really well done! Resident Evil is remaid in this game and everything in the old games that sucked leik the camera angles and AI is redone and much better here! definatly one of the best games on the PS2!! its more of a shooter than a horror game but it still has its scares ;) its also one of the few games on the PS2 that supports 480p!! BUY IT!!!!!
Comments: This PSU is excellent for the price. just bought it a little while ago fo my "gaming" pc, and havent had any trouble so far. i also sleeved it and repainted it and it looks pretty sweet now. recommended
Comments: I got this HSF last christmas when i first built my pc. it cool really well for 8 bucks but the noise is really loud! If you play games a lot and your computer is near you, get some headphones. otherwise good cooler for the money.
Comments: i just got this headset yesterday, and they seem to be really good... the sound is really good while almost anything, the bass is clear and they sound great overall. however, when i was listening to music, i expected better sound but theyre not bad at all. good for gaming too!
Comments: i bought this for my first build which was about 8 weeks ago and still have it and it works great! i knew i could trust Seagate, they make the best! i would buy another one for RAID but id get the SATA one. still, highly recommended!
Comments: hey, i looked up your mobo on the gigabyte website and sorry to say... but it wont work for you. you have an AGP motherboard and you need a PCI-Express one. the only pci-e mobos you can get for AMD is the nForce 4 series and almost any Intel mobo can support PCI-E. if you want a 6800GT and want to keep the same mobo, get the XFX one.
Comments: i didnt buy this from newegg, but i thought that id write a review... this card really is awsome. for the price it sounds really good while playing Doom 3, and my music is really crisp and clean too. Supports my 5.1 system really well and has grips of software for customizing it. definatly recommended.
Comments: this game rocks! if you like FPS games then you MUST get this game (not like youve never heard about it).only one problem... i got ripped off by steam when i tried to install it because it didnt work the first time after i entered my cd key, so i went back to try it again and it said "duplicate cd key". then i had to buy a whole new game. just a warning though... but once you get it working its a great game!
oh yeah... thanks Newegg for the fast shipping!
Comments: this game rocks! if you like FPS games, then you have to get this (not like you dont already know about it). only one catch... Steam really sucks and i got ripped off by them because i tried to install it and i entered my cd key and it didnt work so i tried it later and steam said "duplicate cd key" and i had to buy a whole new game. but if you get it working then its a 5 "egg" game.
Comments: i didnt really but this card on newegg, but ive had it for a while, thought id write something about it...
First off, the good things...
it has full Direct X 9.0 compatablity, runs most "newer" games at low settings without too much lag and it overclocks like crazy (at least for me). i raised form its default core and memory speeds (270/400) to 340 for the core and no higher than 459 for the ram, although i used a huge cooler master heatsink that took up 2 expansion slots... benchmark scores were OK too... 5690 for 3DMark01 SE and about 10000 for my Aquamark 3.
now the bad...
its only got 128 mb of ram, its expensive for what it is, and its only got vga, no dvi support.
so, do yourself a favor and spend a little less money on an eVGA GF 5500 with 256 mb of ram
