Intel SSD

Intel 545s 2.5" 512GB SATA III 64-Layer 3D NAND TLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SSDSC2KW512G8X1

Pros: Slapped it in and performed a clean install of windows 10 on a 5 year old Acer laptop. Boots in less than 5 seconds. First ssd I've worked with and everything I'd heard about them is true. Fast and quiet. Very pleased.

Cons: I didn't buy two? My laptop has an additional drive bay and I'd like to fill it.

EVGA 122-CK-NF67-T1 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 680i LT SLI ATX Intel Motherboard
EVGA 122-CK-NF67-T1 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 680i LT SLI ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: I have credit for the DOA units.

Cons: I bought it.

Overall Review: Look at the DOA reviews on the nForce units. Not just THIS board but ALL nForce boards. I went ahead and dropped the whole SLI option. Took me three nForce units to relaize it wasn't worth the effort for a small jump in FPS. Asus p5n32-sli--DOA and two of these. I went ahead and picked up a Intel Extreme Series D975XBX2 to run my single bfg 8800 gt oc2. Runs great. My buddie was pleased to get a good deal on my extra 8800.....

Patriot Extreme Performance 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model PDC22G6400LLK

Pros: American made quality products from Patriot. Had a rebate as well. :)

Cons: I'm running a 32 bit Vista Ultimate so I don't get to use all 4gb...

Overall Review: This is my second time using Patriot and I'll be back. Thanks Newegg!!

Not a DOA!!!

Intel BOXD975XBX2KR LGA 775 Intel 975X ATX Intel Motherboard
Intel BOXD975XBX2KR LGA 775 Intel 975X ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: It's a Intel. It's not a nForce board. Should be easy to overclock my q6600 once i get around to it. Intel rules.

Cons: Didn't buy this one first. Can't run SLI...had two 8800gt cards to use. :| One small REAL con I have to mention was the board was packed from the factory with the edge caught on the lip of the internal "protective box" deal. So all the stuff that comes with this board was smashing some fragile parts. Freaked me out at first....thought oooh s*** here we go it's broken!!

Overall Review: I went through three junk 680i boards before I decided to get this instead. It was my first build and it went smooth as...well uuh you could ask for. I've had a Intel board on my old PC for five years now and it still runs great. Maybe ATI Crossfire support will improve and I can use dual cards down the road. I'm running a q6600, bfg8800gt oc2, 4gb Patriot ddr2 800, Coolermaster 750 psu and Cosmos 1000 case. Thanks for the great service Newegg!!!!! Happy Day!!

happy as a pig in sh..

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 - Core 2 Quad Kentsfield Quad-Core 2.4 GHz LGA 775 105W Processor - BX80562Q6600
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 - Core 2 Quad Kentsfield Quad-Core 2.4 GHz LGA 775 105W Processor - BX80562Q6600

Pros: Price was only $40.00 more than the e6600 for a extra two cores. Duh, why wouldn't you want to get one?!! This thing has been a dream so far.

Cons: I don't have the experience to overclock like I understand this thing can. Need to learn more about the stepping type on mine. STOCK FAN MOUNT BLOWS...went with Coolermaster and it had bolts and brackets to install to mount the thing--still easier than the Intel stock cpu cooler mount.

Overall Review: My Logitech g15 keyboard shows four bars on the performance monitor. TOO cool to watch the extra two cores kick in as you tax the system with apps. Intel Extreme Series mobo / bfg 8800gt oc2 / 4gb Patriot ddr2 800 / Coolermaster 750 psu / Coolermaster Cosmos 1000 case. :)
