Pros: 5.1 sound system, adjustable base level. I've had these for 2 years and they put out a decent amount of sound with good quality. I've turned the base down so I don't upset the neighbors in my apartment unit. As with all speakers, the sound quality is better with the speakers pointed directly at you. Since most of these are small, it sounds a lot better sitting in the main seat than sitting 5 feet away. Speaker cords have different lengths, if you use the correct cord for the satellites they have plenty of range. Comes with some stickers so you can tag the speaker cord near the plug and on the back of the speaker. Makes it easy to set them up instead of chasing wires and trying to figure out which one is longer every time.
Cons: Cords don't disconnect from the sub. It's more of a nuisance when moving it than anything. I always prefer wires with a connection on them because they are easier to replace in the event of a short. Volume adjuster is on a separate unit and doesn't have much weight to it. Track pads collect dust so they lose their grip and the cord tends to pull it towards the back of the desk.. Easily remedied by cleaning the pads, but I've noticed it a lot over the years.
Overall Review: Most webpages don't use full 5.1 sound, so if your listening to music or watching videos you may notice 2 speakers aren't working. You can change this on windows 7 by going into: Sound Playback (select speaker output), Properties Enhancements Speaker Fill (check the box). After that you'll get sound out of all speakers if the application doesn't support 5.1 sound.
Pros: Lots of features for the price, frequent updates, flashing the bios is very easy.
Cons: Not enough slots. I bought this board specifically for the 2 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 slots, in hopes of running duel graphics cards. Be warned if you use 2 graphics cards you will not have any PCI slots available, forget wireless, forget audio cards, forget video capture or anything else. The graphics cards are the only thing this motherboard can fit. I really wish I'd spent the extra 30 bucks to get a motherboard that had a few usable PCI slots. I also given up on trying to get this motherboard to work with my Radeon 9770 video card on windows 7. For some reason it will work fine on vista, but not 7. I've tried countless times with everything under the sun I can think of. It'll boot in safe mode, but the second the graphics drivers are active it will never get passed the windows loading screen without entirely freezing the computer and the display dropping out. New drivers, new bios updates, fresh install, nothing has worked. I can disable the graphics driver and it will
Overall Review: I don't know if the graphics problem is a fault of the motherboard or the graphics card, so it doesn't lose any eggs from that. I'm really disappointed with the board layout and wish I had the option to run a wireless network card and a 2nd graphics card at the same time. If your looking at all the features this board has as a selling point, your better off spending a couple extra bucks to get the whole package. If you just want something that will run a basic computer and do it well, this motherboard does great.
Purchased 4, 2 of them died.
Pros: Great Christmas presents.
Cons: 2 died within a year of purchasing. One would send a nice shock to the inner earlobe every once in a while, the other quit playing sound. I could have gone through warranty, but it's a hassle and earbuds aren't that expensive.
Overall Review: I'm an audiophile and I appreciate quality. I own 2 sets of over ear headphones from Senheiser; the HD 598 and HD 650. I'd recommend Senheiser over ear headphones to anyone, but these earbuds aren't as good. The sound quality never resonated with me and the earbuds didn't last that long. Original iPod earbuds sounded much better and lasted much longer.
Failed after 1 year 8 months
Pros: Intel customer service Large SSD Intel SSD toolbox is a great tool for error checking.
Cons: Failed after 1 year 8 months. Drive started failing, acting like it was there then becoming unresponsive and disappearing when accessed. Eventually it quit being recognized entirely. The bios, windows, and even Linux were unable to detect the SSD.
Overall Review: Intel customer service was very professional and a breeze to work with. They did not pay shipping to send the drive back, but they did ship the replacement free of charge. Every message to them was answered promptly in the morning on the next business day. Replacement drive has been working great! Nothing is flawless and everything fails eventually. Intel's customer service is top notch, they stand behind the products they sell.
Korean Yamakasi 2B overclockable monitor.
Newegg processed the order on 12/29/2014, product arrived in Utah on 1/6/2015. Considering the order was placed over the new year, and they ship international, I'm quite impressed with how quickly it arrived. Monitor arrived in the original box. The box was fairly beat up, but the monitor remained untouched. This monitor does not have dead pixels and wasn't sold as a perfect pixel setup. All parts of the monitor (power brick and monitor), had stickers saying they had passed QC check. I can't say how their customer service is as I haven't had to contact them for any reason. Worth noting, they warranty their monitors for 1 year, whereas these Korean monitors don't seem to have a warranty when purchased through individual sellers. Pricing was $120 cheaper than reputable individual sellers. No price gouging with shipping. Would gladly do business again.
