Pros: I just duped a 1TB Mac-formatted HD to another 1TB blank HD in about 3 hours, with no computer attached. Given, there wasn't 1TB of data on the source drive, but the manual for this unit says that it does a block-by-block copy regardless of the used space, which makes sense if drive format isn't a concern. It also says it may take up to 25 minutes to copy an 80gb HD. A 1TB drive should have taken 5-6 hours, and it took half that. Bravo.

Overall Review: I run a computer repair shop at a university, and about half the machines we service are Macs. I got this thing just because we needed some more drive docks and USB3 seems to be fast and affordable. The duping potential is just gravy, but in this case it's particularly rich gravy. There was no mention of anyone trying this with Mac drives so I figured I'd post my success story for anyone else who might want to try it.
