Pros: sexy board with lots of IO and great UEFI options
Cons: only lasted 2 years before system hang started. Geek squad verified my findings this week. tested all parts of the PC and all past tests. still receiving hang and memory error.
1 egg only because a board of this cost and being for HEDT it should last 5-8 years at least. ASRock also seems to have a lackluster support team for responding. for a decade I used only ASus and Gigabyte boards now I will be going back to Asus as it never failed me.
in 15 years of PC gaming this is only my second hardware failure which may be good luck for me or a bad choice of OEM this time.
Overall Review: being a x99 board I hope this repair is a fast turnaround!!
Pros: Gskill quality, looks, Price of 129 when i purchased
Cons: Timings. I really wish i could get better timing on this. I seems to be slower that Gskill 1866. CAS latency could improve, i fell into the MHZ trap as RAM was one of the weaker parts of my PC knowledge
Overall Review: If anyone finds information about improving the CAS timings please share your information. Again Gskill maks quality coolers and this is Hynix RAM.
Pros: AMD R9 290 for $200!! Mantle is amazing and this card performs much better than i expected. This replaced 2x HD 6970s Xfire. Furmark 1080p no AA score is 4400. Best cooler out there with a metal shroud
Cons: TDP, Size,
Overall Review: No games came with the card like they were supposed to. Emailed newegg but there is a 6 day wait. I was really looking forward to testing this out on newer games. i want my GOld reward and Civ beyond earth!!!
Pros: GsKill makes great products, no issues in 18 months. faster than my Seagate HDD i had.
Cons: Krystaldisk test show that this disk never readis half the rated speed. i get about 208mbs max in sata6.0 AHCI. Wish i had done more homewok and went Crucial or Samsung Evo and got more space and speed for the same price i paid.
Overall Review: Make sure you do your homework. 120gb at this price is not good. Look at Crucial samsung or Corsair.
Cons: wouldnt keep a charge and after 2 days wont charge at all
Pros: Huge up grade from my crossfire 4850s and runs DX11
Cons: Randomly blacks out and causes me to restart system. happens at least 1 time a day. the last time all i was doing was looking at yahoo sports changing my fantasy lineups.
Overall Review: i had no issues with my 4850s so i stayed with Powercolor. i am runnin a phenom x4 black 965 500w TT power supply a beast ASUS mb and 4gb of ram, i should not be haveing issues.
Cons: um as soon as i logged into WoW cata i saw issues in the graphics, it looked like pieces of broken colorful glass all over the place, shows up random.
Overall Review: i got this to upgrade my dual 4850HD cards and well it doesnt work right!
Pros: 7200 RPM HDD ASUS quality price AMD based video quality
Cons: 1.6 ghz 4g ram
Overall Review: wish someone would make a pawerhouse AMD laptop.
Pros: I am a huge fan of AMD ATi and ASUS so i was excited to see this. runs WoW Cata great and runs everything with ease.
Cons: Wish it had a better phenom and graphics but this is the best combination of vision tech i could find anywhere!
Overall Review: price already dropped in a week. more company's should put together better vision laptops for those of us that know how great of a company AMD really is, wish i could have gotten a vision black laptop.
Pros: i love Kingston ram its been good to me for all the years i have used them.
Cons: i bought 4 gigs of this with my phenom 545 X2 my Asus M4A78 MB and 2 ati radeon 4850s. everything runs good except i cant OC anything and the ram runs at 800 not 1066...
Overall Review: i want my 1066 ram at 1066 thats y i bought it....
