Pros: I have loved the Read/Write Speeds on this Drive. Makes a really great Media Backup Drive. I currently run a Plex Media Server off of this drive with all of it's Media and haven't experienced any issues.
Cons: Read/Writes are Noisy compared to other HDD.
Runs about 7-8 degree's hotter than my other HDD.
Pros: My first one of these boards was DOA. However this one is flawless. I feel the USB 3.0 controller on this board is much better than the Asrock boards I usually prefer. All extra features working beautifully. Have it running with the A8-3870K, 128gb Crucial M4 SSD, 1.5tb 7200rpm Hatachi, 8gb 1600 G.Skill Ripjaws. Getting the following WEI Score:
Gaming Graphics: 6.8
Primary hard disk: 7.9
Overall WEI 6.8
Cons: First board was DOA, but that happens eventually to every brand and make of board.
Pros: 1. Both Sticks were good and not DOA :)
2. Standard 1333mhz speed
3. Runs Cool
Cons: No Heatsink, but knew that before I bought it.
Overall Review: Posted on first powerup. No issues, generally use gSkill ram, but this was inexpensive so thought I would try it. Good choice so far.
Pros: 1. Quad Core
2. Decent speed at 2.6ghz
3. RUNS COOL EVEN WITH STOCK COOLER. Ran Passmarks Burnin Test for 6hrs with CPU at 100%. Never got over 38C. Idles at 22-26C. This is again with the supplied Cooler.
4. Above average Cooler, and Quiet Fan
5. Integrated Graphics quiet impressive.
6. Price to performance is AWESOME.
Cons: 1. Not unlocked, but I knew that when purchasing.
Overall Review: Getting WEI Score of:
Gaming Graphics: 6.4
Pros: 1. Read Speeds TOPPING 500mb/s
2. Write Speeds TOPPING 200mb/s
Ran ATTO Disk Benchmark Utility and was getting 523mb/s Max read speed, and 203mb/s Max write speeds.
Cons: Price Dropped $45 within 2 days of ordering :(
Overall Review: Previously had a Kingston 64gb SSD, and was getting WEI of 7.1, With this new Crucial 128gb SSD I get WEI 7.9.
Dell N5110 Laptop, Dell Tech support said it didn't support Sata3. I went for this anyway and Now looking at Dell's System Support Utility shows Hard Disk negotiating rate is 6.0gb/s so Laptop did end up supporting Sata3. Even BETTER.
Pros: Just left review with 3 egg rating. After leaving the review I started to read other reviews and saw this GLORIOUS gem of information
"To those of you with the wireless dropouts, log in to the modem settings page and go to the Firewall tab. UNCHECK "IP Flood Detection" and reboot modem AND your system."
I followed this advice and instantly my packet loss went from about 58% to 0%. You can physically feel the difference while surfing online, and can really feel it on my xbox playing via xbox Live. No more frustrating Lag.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU Unkown reviewer!
Cons: *Still have occasional Wifi issues, but simple powercycle fixes the issue and only happens about once a week for me.
Overall Review: Been depressed about this Modem for a year only to find out a simple checkbox in the firewall settings has been the cause of my woe's! I am exhilirated by the change in quality i have experienced.
Pros: Sata 6.0gbs/USB 3.0
Supports phenom II x6
I like the Bios Layout
Good durable build.
Cons: NOT FOR OVERCLOCKING! I was building this for a friend who isn't interested in overclocking, but I wanted to at least enable the OC Genie. If I make ANY changes to the Overclock profile I get a CMOS Bad checksum error. I am using 8gb G.SKILL 1600 DDR3 Ram. Motherboard identifies the 8gb, but at 1333 speed. As soon as I make change in BIOS to 1600 instant errors.
Overall Review: Again if not planning to do ANY adjustment to bios or overclock profile it works fine. I don't normally leave feedback or reviews, but after seeing others reviews and then my own experience, I felt it necessary you know the truth behind this board. If you want the Same features, and chipset as this board go with the ASRock 870 EXTREME3 AM3 AMD 870 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX. Same features WAY BETTER BOARD. I've used the ASRock board in 7 builds and have loved it.
Pros: *Great signal Strength
*Actually connecting to my Motorola surfboard modem at 300mbs.
*Uses PCI Express slot(its nice to have something to use that port with)
*Realitively inexpensive for preformance ratio.
*Worked right out of the box with Windows 7 drivers.
Cons: None, its brilliant.
Overall Review: I've used about 10 of these in the last year or so for customer builds and haven't heard back a single complaint on the wireless. I have had one in my own PC for about 4 months and it's still going strong.
Pros: Price to prefomance ratio is awesome. This is my second set of G.Skill RAM and I've loved it. Running Windows 7 64bit home premium I was getting a 7.3 on my WEI. Overall wonderful quality.
Overall Review: I build about 1 computer a week and G.Skill has quickly become a favorite for quality and preformance.
Pros: Very fast CPU. Only 2.8ghz but Windows Experience Index is giving it 7.2 out of 7.9 without any OC. Plugged into my new Asus Mobo and unlocked all 4 cores without a hitch. With Deneb cores makes it super easy to OC. I overclocked mine to 3.4 ghz without any issues.
Cons: Only 2.8ghz, but I knew that when I bought it and it OC's well so not really a con.
Pros: USB 3.0 and SATA 6gb/s. My favorite feature is the easy to use Core Unlocker and OC utilities included on the driver CD. Using the tools on the Mobo I was able to OC my Phenom II X4 925 2.8ghz processor to 3.4ghz with no errors and it took maybe 30 seconds to OC.
Cons: None so far.
Pros: Inexpensive, 1gb DDR3 Ram, HDMI port. Bought on Black Friday so it was a great price. Windows Experience index is giving it a 6.7 out of 7.9 which is more than I expected. With installed fan keeps it cool even in graphic intensive operations. I average 34 degree's celsius with installed fan and no additional fan coverage directly on GPU.
Cons: Could look a bit better????
Pros: Beautiful Case and viewing window on the side. Even with only one fan installed case keeps everything well ventilated and cool.
Cons: I was under the impression it would come with 2 fans installed, but actually only comes with one 120mm fan in the front. Case is still kept cool so not worth an Egg.
Pros: Installed easilly and works beautifully on my new ASUS M4A87TD EVO Mobo. Windows Experience Index gives it a 7.4 out 7.9 rating. AWESOME for the price!
Overall Review: G.Skill Provides relatively cheap RAM without any loss on Quality(1/2 the price of some of the big name brands) as they are a smaller company and are trying to get their name in the market.
Pros: Cheap, 7200 RPM, 34MB Cache, Quick read/Write Speeds.
Cons: Iolo System Mechanic is reporting drive as unstable with a 50% error rate on write speed. Windows Experience Index giving it a 5.9 but I think thats normal with these drives. Reading reviews of others on this I am nervous I will have a complete failure on this drive soon.
Pros: Cheap, I've burned severaly CD's, DVD's, DVD DL, and haven't had a single problem. Reads CD's and DVD's just fine.
Cons: Its read speed is slower than I expected. Doesn't say Samsung on it, but thats to be expected as its OEM.
