Great mid-tier motherboard

ASUS AM4 TUF GAMING X570-Plus ATX Motherboard with PCIe 4.0, Dual M.2, 12+2 with Dr. MOS Power Stage, HDMI, DP, SATA 6Gb/s, USB 3.2 Gen 2 and Aura Sync RGB Lighting
ASUS AM4 TUF GAMING X570-Plus ATX Motherboard with PCIe 4.0, Dual M.2, 12+2 with Dr. MOS Power Stage, HDMI, DP, SATA 6Gb/s, USB 3.2 Gen 2 and Aura Sync RGB Lighting

Pros: - Came with BIOS 2607, which now supports 5600X - Updated to 3201 using EZ flash, no issues running at 4.7 Ghz 1.25v and running DOCP profile for my Corsair 32Gb 3600Mhz kit - Nice thermals, compared to other motherboards in this price range (looking at you MSI) - Multiple M.2 slots

Cons: - My motherboard did not include M.2 screws, even though it was part of the packing list. I was lucky to find the correct standoffs and screws from another motherboard. - southbridge cooler is a bit tall and has minimal clearance with my RTX 3070. I can see it potentially impact large cards

Overall Review: - Overall, this is a nice motherboard, provided you use the latest BIOS

Great AIO can use minor improvements for AM4

CORSAIR iCUE H115i RGB PRO XT, 280mm Radiator, Dual 140mm PWM Fans, Software Control, Liquid CPU Cooler, CW-9060044-WW LGA 1700 Compatible
CORSAIR iCUE H115i RGB PRO XT, 280mm Radiator, Dual 140mm PWM Fans, Software Control, Liquid CPU Cooler, CW-9060044-WW LGA 1700 Compatible

Pros: - Superb thermals - keeping my 5600X @ 1.25v at consistent 54C under load - Great manual and directions - Nice packaging - RGB looks nice - Comes with quality stock fans

Cons: - The AM4 mounting solution seems much less sophisticated than Intel. It was a real pain to install the brackets onto the plastic motherboard mounts. There is no reason why a bracket using stock AM4 backplate screws could not be designed, just like the Intel mounting mechanism - The software can use more default modes. "Quiet" and "Extreme" are two very different modes. In Quiet the fans barely spin, and in Extreme they spin in full speed (which is not necessary and makes the system very loud). - It's not difficult to design your own profile, but I would have appreciated a baseline "Balanced" plan to have the fans spin at ~800 RPM AND include the CPU temperature, instead of just the coolant temperature (which is a bit unintuitive)

Overall Review: - Overall, I would recommend it to anyone building in a Corsair 4000D

works as expected

CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR4 3600 (PC4 28800) Desktop Memory Model CMK32GX4M2Z3600C18
CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR4 3600 (PC4 28800) Desktop Memory Model CMK32GX4M2Z3600C18

Pros: - Booted just fine on my ASUS X-570 TUF paired with 5600X - DOCP profile works with advertised timings and 3600 Mhz - Low profile

Cons: None

Overall Review: buy this if you're planning to use a top-mounted AIO in a tight case like Corsair 4000D
