DG965WH Worked for Me
Pros: Worked at DDR2 - 800 speed with picky Intel motherboard. Tested 8 hours with memtest86 and several other diagnostics. Timing is reported as 5-5-5-16 in BIOS.
Cons: $15 rebate became available 2 days after I ordered it.
Overall Review: Not sure why others had problems with Intel mobos - quality of power supply maybe?
Like the Case
Pros: Nice and compact and fits a microATX mobo. Fairly easy to work on when needed. Uses standard optical drive (not slimline).
Cons: Ordered in June 2009, PSU failed in March 2013. Made it 3.5 years.
Overall Review: Ordered a new PSU for $20.
Install on SAPPHIRE 100352OCSR Radeon HD 7950 3GB
Pros: Awesome cooling performance and low noise. Brought my OCd GPU load temps at OC from 83C - 100% fan (LOUD) down to 57C - 100% fan (QUIET). OC at 1120MHz/1080mV.
Cons: Using the glue is a little tricky. Keep in mind there is a 5 hour wait time for it to cure. This thing adds a good amount of length to the card. If you don't have a huge case, I would recommend doing some measurements. I ended up having to take a dremel to my drive cage to make it fit. (Antec Three Hundred).
Overall Review: Overall an awesome upgrade. The noise from the stock Sapphire DUAL-X cooler at 3100RPM was pretty bad. On this card, I kept the stock VRM heatsink in place and it is working OK. Did put heatsinks on the Memory and some other small parts. Make sure to look closely (zoom in on the PDF) at the pictures in the AC install instructions. They helped more than the not-so-good wording.
Great for HD7770
Pros: QUIET. Also cooled down my MSI 7770 that was getting fairly hot under load. The thermal paste pre-applied on the heatsink seems to work fairly well.
Cons: As others have said, the instructions are difficult to follow. I even downloaded the "new" instructions from the AC website that include the 7770.
Overall Review: I didn't have to use spacers or glue on the memory/power heatsinks for my install.
Nice Card. Loud Fan
Pros: Great performance per/$. Fits in cramped cases. Was able to overclock mine to 1125MHz on the core.
Cons: When running 100% GPU load the fan can get very loud. I ended up replacing mine with the Arctic Cooling Accelero L2 Plus cooler. This makes the card 3 expansion slots wide instead of two, but now it is totally silent and much cooler.
Overall Review: Now I can play games on my HTPC!
It works as advertised
Pros: Works with my Palm Treo 750
Cons: None.
