Pros: This is an excellent cooling solution compared to the Founders Edition from Nvidia. I made the mistake of buying the FE first. After initial testing with the FE I just couldn't handle it. I have always purchased the partner boards before and now I know why. This card HANDILY beats the FE in every way. My Time Spy benchmark score jumped from 8,908 with the Founders Edition to 9,152 with this card.
This card runs MUCH cooler than the FE card, and is MUCH more quiet.
I have owned several different MSI "Gaming X" cards in the past and this one runs / sounds about the same as those.
I purchased this card for 709.99 which is only 9.99 more than FE, it is worth way more than that to me honestly! I expected this card to be more in the 750.00 to 800.00 range. I'm glad it wasn't.
Cons: Cons----> No back plate. The MSI Gaming App doesn't allow any adjustment of settings which I guess is normal, but I wish it did like the gaming X does.
Overall Review: I would absolutely recommend this card over the FE any day. I have learned my lesson not to buy FE ever!
Pros: Plain and simple. This is a high quality, well built, and easy to assemble dual monitor stand.
This was a first purchase of a dual stand and it took us all of about 5-10 minutes to set it up.
It looks great and works well. We are currently using it for (2) 24" Acer monitors and works extremely well.
Price could be a bit lower, but I still think it is worth it.
Overall Review: Great, easy to use dual monitor stand. If you looking for easy to set-up and a solid base this is your stand, buy it a quite looking at the 10 others on here.
Pros: This is a very well constructed easy to install high end graphics card. If you are dropping the money on this card (currently hovering around 480.00) then you probably already know most of the stat's and have read a million other reviews....
If feel like this card is very well constructed VS some of the other graphics cards I have purchased in the past. Everything seems well put together and solid. It comes extremely well packaged and protected.
The card itself does have great coloring and design in my opinion and goes really well with my MSI motherboard.
Cons: The card really doesn't have many cons at all. It is quite possibly just an issue of my own, however I was bought a second one of these cards as a present so that I could run them in SLI. From the moment I installed the second card I had nothing but issues. I spent about 12 straight hours working to resolve the issue, researching online, troubleshooting on my own, testing card slots, checking temperatures, etc etc etc...
I only was able to get the second card to work for a very short time and while it was running I really didn't have any noticeable difference in many games.
In the end I put the second card in my Wife's computer and have just been content with just one. The single card will still play any video game that I have (and I have a LOT of games) on my 34" LG UltraWide Monitor with no hesitation or issues at all.
So not truly a CON perhaps just some bugs to be ironed out with SLI?
--Cost is a con; if it were 100 or 150 less I think it would be very attractive to many more people.
Overall Review: This is a very expensive card right now, but I love the way Nvidia updates drivers very very easily and I seem to have fewer overall issues with Nvidia cards than I do with Radeons. The included software from MSI is really nice if you intend to overclock and all that fun stuff.
If you are a hardcore gamer like myself I highly recommend this card!
Pros: If you are looking for a decent monitor for a great price look no further. I got a couple of these on sale through New Egg and I think I got a great deal.
The monitors are extremely light and very idea if you are thinking of using them in a 3 monitor set-up like is on my Wife's computer. They are easy to install in a mount with the standard VERSA mounting on the back.
They are a good size monitor at 24" and display a good picture. It has a decent response time and we use them for gaming.
Cons: The only con I can think of is that the monitor does NOT have an HDMI output, DVI only! Make sure if you are doing a three monitor set-up that you buy a converter cable unless you have a video card with 3 DVI outputs!
Overall Review: For the price you can't beat it! If you are looking for a cheap monitor with decent quality look no further.
Pros: I just received this monitor today and got it set-up. I bought this after reading many, many, many reviews. I will say that online pictures and videos do NOT do the size of this monitor justice! It really is HUGE.
I am coming from a 27" Samsung monitor and this honestly feels much much better. It really does have the feel of having two side by side monitors without the bezels in the way. I thought the height of the monitor might bother me but it doesn't at all.
I also was surprised at how improved the the colors appear to be from my Samsung monitor. I expected the size boost of course, but the added sharpness and color depth really is a great and added bonus.
I will be using this monitor to play video games. So far I have tried out Battlefield 4 and had zero issues with getting the resolution to work perfectly. The game looks AMAZING in the wide format on my Nvidia 780 Graphics card with no real difference in FPS.
I was apprehensive about the price of this monitor but I must say, just from first impressions, I am even more impressed than I thought I would be. As long as there are no functioning issues in the coming weeks I will go ahead and say that this monitor is worth every penny.
It makes me feel like I'm playing video games on my personal movie screen. So far I'm extremely impressed.
Cons: The one con I have noticed so far is that the stand that comes with the monitor is a tad bit wobbly. If you have a cheapo desk with a little bit of wobble in it (like I do) it can get a tad bit annoying as the screen's stand wobble is amplified by the slight wobble of my desk. It isn't enough to really concern me, however you will need a nice sturdy movement free space to put the monitor on.
Overall Review: So in summary:
I will say that the price is high for this monitor, however if you are looking for a large screen as an alternative to getting dual monitors this is a great option for you.
I researched a ton of stats for 4k monitors, monitors with higher refresh rates, monitors with higher resolutions and higher refresh rates, low response times etc...etc....etc.... and most all of them were close to the same price (or higher) of this monitor. After the numbers confusion in the tiny little differences of each monitor I finally went for one that I felt I would be able to see the most noticeable impact and I think I did well!
If you are looking into buying this monitor I would say give it a shot, I don't think you'll be disappointed!
