Pros: Excellent MB for Ryzen 2400G. Recognized my system components without any BIOS upgrade:
Memory : Patriot Viper Elite 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 2666MHz DRAM (Desktop Memory) CL16 1.2V Blue DIMM (288-pin) Extreme Performance Memory PVE432G266C6KBL (Intel XMP, AMD Ryzen)
NVMe PCIe SSD: MyDigital BPX 240GB MLC
Bios interface is usable and easy to navigate.
Cons: None so far for me.
Overall Review: Adding RMA experience (2/16/2019): ASRock has stood by its product warranty and has responded to my warranty requests in a timely and caring manner. The communication and troubleshooting process was not too slow. They shipped the replacement unit within couple of days after receiving my old board. Kudos to ASRock!
Pros: It is fully Modular.
Provides the rated power output.
Pros: Stays cool and provides the rated speed with all ports in use.
It has been in use since 11/2012 (5.5 yrs) and I have not run into any issues with the switch or the power adapter.
No setup or configuration needed. Plug and play!!!
Pros: 1080p resolution 10" screen. Great shell-shocker price (refurbished model).
Was able to upgrade to Windows 10 without any issue.
So far the tablet has performed very well for me (running office, browsing, streaming videos etc). Battery life is decent.
Cons: Non-USB charger.
Did not come with MS office activation code (Normally all windows tablets come with free activation).
Little bit heavy for me.
Overall Review: This was a refurbished model, so my expectations were low. But the tablet I received was in very good condition (no scratches or dead pixels on the screen).
Pros: It can moderatly overclock the new Kabini processors (In my case Athlon 5150 (stock 1.6Ghz) is running at 2Ghz.
The included manual has sufficent information to configure the system.
Cons: Only two SATA ports.
Pros: I have this CPU installed on an ASUS AM1I-A system board. The CPU runs cool and performs very well as as internet and htpc. I am very satisfied with it.
I was able to overclock the CPU to ~2GHz at stock voltage. I kept the memory clock to ~1600MHz due to my memory sticks limitations.
Cons: The new heat sink-fan attachment is kind of lame (More effort to install it than previous AMD heatsinks). But I can understand that this CPU is designed small form factor systems.
Overall Review: Running Windows 8.1 on it without any issue.
Pros: Supports USB 3 and 2. I am able to transfer data at speeds greater than 35 MB/s (on USB 3)
Cons: None but I wish the device was more compact.
Pros: Affordable price. Performs well for USB 2 flash drive.
Cons: The rotating metal cover makes the device makes its size bigger than it should be.
Pros: Very affordable 512 GB SSD. Utilizes MLC nand instead of TLC. Replaced a laptop HDD with this one and OS boots upd instantly.
I got it at almost 50 cents per GB price. AWESOME!!!
Overall Review: Very plain looking drive with no branding. But it does what is is supposed to.
Pros: Allows to connect up to four devices to a single USB 3 port
Cons: It cannot handle multiple 2.5 HDD portable drives attached to it. I can attach multiple USB flash drives without any issues but it will not let me use two or more portable HDD simultaneously.
Pros: Compatible with my system board. At present running at 1333MHz with 1.5v.
Cons: It will work at 1600MHZ only at 1.65 volts(XMP) not at 1.5volts as the description says.
Overall Review: Total waste of money for use as 1600MHZ memory.
Pros: 6-cores, Low operating temperatures. Can be overclocked easily. Definitely a huge performance jump over Athlon x4.
Cons: The supplied heatsink fan is a little too noisy for my taste. I replaced it with a third party all copper cooler.
Pros: Its a DDR3.
Cons: Although it is rated at DDR3 1600. Its default SPD is at 1066. I think this is not a true DDR3 1600 memory. The other DDR3 1600 memory I have at least comes up up at 1333 Mhz by default.
Overall Review: Being longtime Patriot memory user, I was expecting a little bit better quality.
Pros: A complete HTPC package. Includes media center IR Remote and a wireless Router card. Motherboard has all solid caps and can support up to 16GB RAM. Windows 7 Pro x64 installed without any problems on first try.
So far this board is performing very well with Athlon II X4 620 and 4 GB corsair RAM.
I am satisfied with my purchase.
Cons: These are not cons with the board but just few things which I thought FoxConn needs to improve upon)
Skimpy documentation and info for IR remote and Wireless router card.
No IDE or Floppy drive support. Only 1 PCI slot. (Not a problem for me)
Windows 7 did not load correct driver for sound codec. Had to download updated driver from Foxconn website.
Overall Review: FoxConn and Newegg can sell more of these if they can provide additonal information to potential customers. Also newegg should stock Foxconn Cinema Deluxe (that version includes Fire wire)
Pros: Fast and low power consumption. Windows 7 boots up in 18 secs versus 32 secs on HDD.
Cons: Lack of Firmware upgrade software.
Price. I brought it when it was shell shocker price. Otherwise I would not have gotten it.
Overall Review: People with slow or disappointing boot times may want to check their mother bios settings and make sure that it is not spending too much on system checks prior to loading the OS.
Pros: I installed this CPU on a MSI K9A2-CF motherboard and it worked without any issue. I am running Vista 32-bit. It is running multiple apps without any issues. I copied a very large (6 GB) file while playing a HD video (no hardware decoding); the CPU reached only 5% utilization.
Overall Review: I will install 64-bit Vista later and check if it can handle that version.
As always newegg shipping is very fast.
Pros: The drive is fast and quiet. Does not get hot.
Cons: None so far.
Pros: The price of membership card is way cheaper than monthly online fee.
Great newegg service.
Overall Review: Super fast delivery. Got it in 2 days.
Pros: Nice layout, good specs on paper. Video output via hdmi is very good. Comes from a very good company (I have 2 gigabyte intel Motherboards and they are rock solid).
Cons: Did not last long enough. Looks like it is very suceptible to static. Either I had bad luck in getting the MB. But initially SATA ports went dead and then couple of month later the motherboard died. Very disappointed.
Overall Review: The tech support is very mediocre at best. But it may be same for manufacturer also. I called their USA number and have not been able to talk to any live person yet. Left a voice and still no response. Just be aware.
Pros: The graphics processor is phenomenal for the price. It renders the high-def video flawlessly. Excellent overall performance. Kudos to AMD-ATI for bringing such level of graphics processing power at this price point.
Cons: Very NOISY fan. Here the card manufacturer gets very cheap on us. How could such a noisy fan pass the QA. I had to replace the fan with an after market fan-heatsink. Gigabyte you need to revisit the cooling design on this card.
Overall Review: I was tempted to give three eggs to this card but had to give 4 eggs because it is a good GPU for its intended use.
Pros: Outputs video and sound using one cable only. Now I can set my computer to utilize full 1080P resolution of my HDTV.
Also before attaching this cable I was only getting stereo output, but now I can get 5.1 channels sound.
Overall Review: Newegg service is outstanding.
