Be carefull if you own the Asus P8 P67 Pro

Pros: Very well polished and for me level block. I used a razor to check and found the block to be nearly level to the point where I did not need to lap the block. I then did a back light check and found the same.
Cons: The retention back plate will not fit the Asus P8 P67 motherboard.
Overall Review: I know that the LGA-1155 boards and chips are new. However this retention backboard screws will not line up. If one hole is lined up the other 3 are off by 1 to 3mm, just enough where they will not go up. Enzotech offers an 1156 backplate but per the description "It has the same 4 mounting points as the Intel socket 775 style, thereby providing better contact with the CPU and cooler." If the latter is true then that will not work either. I will be in contact with Enzotech tomorrow and may to return the block and eat the restock fee as I search for another block.

Pros: None.
Cons: Simply does not work with a Samsung ML-1740 Laser printer. Updated drivers from provided CD, got same drivers online. Can not give Zero eggs which this deserves although I give myself one for trying to be cheap. Computer build is only 1 year old, Windows 7 64 OS Manufacturer is going out business per their own website. I am going to spend a few bucks more and try the SABRENT Model SBT-UPPC 5 ft. USB to Parallel ( Printer IEEE 1284 ) Cable.

Pros: For the price a nice 1k watt system that works well with my 46 LCD Samsung TV Was unable to test surround sound via an HD channel (see cons) but testing a couple blue rays and DVDs produced a decent surround sound.
Cons: No cables. Had to buy a HDMI cable from Best--Buy with the bloated price. Then I discovered I did not have an optical digital sound cable. So I have to stop again tonight to spend more. The controller was NOT a Phillips controller. But I use a programmable universal remote that detected the system and works just fine.
Overall Review: 100 bucks for a home theater system was worth it. It is not a Bose or other high end system but it works well.
ASUS Support needs work

Pros: Came new in the box. Other than the cougar point error a decent board. Easy overclocking with water cooling to a solid 5ghz.
Cons: ASUS tech support needs more work than this board. I kept the board until I knew for sure the cougar point error was in effect. I need nearly every SATA point as I have multiple drives. Spent at least an hour on the phone reaching a valid tech support number, then was told I would get a refurbished board. I asked how does one refurbish a defect in the metallic lines? Finally demanded a supervisor who GRUDGINGLY agreed to a new board. Said wait for our RMA email and follow the instructions.
Overall Review: If I do not receive a new revision 3 motherboard this will be the LAST ASUS product I will ever buy.
Monitor was DOA

Pros: Have owned other Acer monitors.
Cons: Monitor worked for about 3 seconds then went dark. By turning the switch on and off you could get it to light for about 2 seconds but then back to dark. Tech forum reviews show this to be a power transformer issue.
Overall Review: Free shipping is meaningless when you have to pay an extra 21 bucks and your own time finding a UPS store to drop off the RMA. If a product is defective on the day you receive it then one should not have to pay to return it. The extra $21 now has the monitor at a brick and mortar store price.
