Functional and Quick

Intel 7260HMWDTX1 Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 PCIe plus Bluetooth 4.0 AC1200 Wireless adapters
Intel 7260HMWDTX1 Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 PCIe plus Bluetooth 4.0 AC1200 Wireless adapters

Pros: -Wireless AC -Dual Band -Integrated Bluetooth -PCI-E x1 Connectivity

Cons: No cons on the functionality side of this item, but read "Other thoughts" please.

Overall Review: When you get this, it will be packaged in a nice little Intel box with the antenna, mounting hardware for the antenna, a Bluetooth cable, an instruction sheet, and a driver disc. When I followed the instructions to install this wireless card, everything worked great, except for the Bluetooth. The instructions tell you to connect one end of the cable on a connection port on the PCI-E x1 card itself, and the other end to a USB header on the motherboard. Once you install the drivers from the Intel website, it should detect the Bluetooth device and everything should work, right? Wrong. Windows showed it as an "Unknown Device" for me and no drivers would install. After a little bit of troubleshooting, it seems that the cable is labeled incorrectly - the D+/D- is reversed. So if you have this problem, try reversing the cable and see if it works before you call Newegg for an RMA. I'm not sure if there is a particular batch effected by this or if the problem is across all batches, but here is the info on my wireless card. Batch#: CNWZ39B1WM MM#: 930921 Other than this problem, the wireless card works rather well, and connects to my Netgear R7000 router across the entire house, utilizing the 5GHz band, at 525Mbps out of a possible maximum of 866Mbps. Yes there's a bit of fluctuation with the signal and it drops sometimes to 465Mbps and 390Mbps, but this is very good considering the distance to the wireless router.

SilverStone SST-SDP08 3.5" to 2x 2.5" Bay Converter (Nickel-coated)

Pros: Can fit two SSDs into your case if there's enough room.

Cons: None at all really...simple item.

Overall Review: Helped me mount my new Toshiba 128GB SSD into an older Antec SOHO case. Perfect fit, no issues. Solid construction.

Fantastic SSD

Toshiba Q Series 128GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) HDTS212XZSTA
Toshiba Q Series 128GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) HDTS212XZSTA

Pros: It's an SSD. Are the pros really necessary? It's fast - really fast. It boots Windows 7 x64 in 7 seconds consistently.

Cons: There are none at this time. It's a really ......solid.......drive. Okay sorry. I know that was lame.

Overall Review: This was purchased to replace an aging (manufactured in 2005) 160GB boot drive for a system that is almost always in use. The maximum speed of this older platter drive was 56MB/s which is a massive bottleneck considering the rest of the system is based around a 2nd generation i5 processor. I cloned the drive onto the SSD and it booted right up. TRIM is enabled and is working. It's just such a pleasure to be able to actually open ANY program instantly, instead of waiting 10+ seconds with the older platter drive. Honestly, the real-world difference in performance in SSDs won't be noticed by the casual computer user. You'll hear people complain that speeds aren't as fast as other drives because of asynchronous memory or that the controller is compressing the data so the speeds aren't accurate etc. Honestly, you'll only notice a difference if you're a hardcore computer benchmark queen....or if you process lots of video or audio data regularly. But if you do that, you won't be looking at a consumer-grade SSD anyway. At least you shouldn't be... Bottom line or tldr: It's a good price. It's an SSD. It's fast. You'll like it. And as to the reviewer who stated that this drive isn't listed on Toshiba's website - that is incorrect. The item *IS* listed on their website (as of 8-28-2013) under Storage Solutions>PC & Notebook>>HG5d Series. It's at the bottom of the page and has a full page listing the drive's capacities and specifications.
