Great External Disk

WD My Book Essential 250GB USB 2.0 3.5" External Hard Drive WDG1U2500N
WD My Book Essential 250GB USB 2.0 3.5" External Hard Drive WDG1U2500N

Pros: Fast drive, plug it in and go. I formated mine to use NTFS security features. Very silent.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: I've noticed alot of people mentioning this so here goes: Disk capacity is measured as 1000 bytes = 1 kbyte; 1000 kbytes = 1 mbyte; 1000 mbyte = gbyte when the drive is sold and is by definition correct. When your operating system uses the drive it defines them differently 1024 bytes = 1 kbyte and 1024 kbytes = 1 mbyte; 1024 mbyte = 1 gbyte. This is why your 250 gbyte drive is only read as 232 by Windows.

Nice Hub

ENERMAX EHB-A420 4 Ports USB 2.0 Hub
ENERMAX EHB-A420 4 Ports USB 2.0 Hub

Pros: This is a very inexpensive powered USB 2.0 hub. It looks very nice and it works well. I am going to buy another one.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: I would not recomend using a UBS hub that does not have it's own power. You do not want multiple devices pulling power from a single port on your motherboard.

They sound great

SONY - Studio Monitor Series Headphones (MDR-XD200)
SONY - Studio Monitor Series Headphones (MDR-XD200)

Pros: These feel great when you are wearing them and they sound great too. No problems with them at all. I like the way they look as well.

Cons: None.

Nice Screen

Acer 19" TFT LCD SXGA LCD Monitor 8 ms D-Sub, DVI AL1917ABMD
Acer 19" TFT LCD SXGA LCD Monitor 8 ms D-Sub, DVI AL1917ABMD

Pros: This screen works great. Very crisp and clear, good contrast. It is very responsive. I would purchase it again. No dead pixels.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: When you are shopping for an LCD it's a tradeoff between speed and true color reproduction. This is a fast screen and while it claims 16mil colors it uses 6bit colors and actually only produces 260k and uses dithering to simulate the other colors (all fast screens do this). Slower screens (~25ms) use 8 bit colors providing better reproduction (16.7mil colors). Keep in mind what you are going to use the screen for when you make your purchase.
