Awesome GPU 1440p sweet spot1/8/2018 1:12:11 PM

Pros: -This gpu is awesome. I can play most games at 1440p on medium and high settings no problem. -8gb ram, higher bandwidth to support more than 1 monitor and higher resolutions than 1080p -Direct X 12, and freesync support. -fans don't spin up until the GPU is in use. -comes with free xsplit (only good for streamers)

Cons: -It does not allow MSI Afterburner to detect the temperature for OSD (on screen display) and Asus's GPU Tweak 2 is a terrible program compared to MSI Afterburner because it doesnt use R i v a T u n e r or its equivalent to show the OSD. -Also the RGB LED does not sync up with my Asus Maximus Hero VIII. Arua for the gpu and Arua for the motherboard. If only Asus can combine both Arua programs to work together so that the lighting affects can be the synced up to look better. -yes I took off a star for these two issues.

Overall Review: -Do not get this GPU if you plan to only play games at 1080p -This will be a 5 start review if ASUS fixed the two issues I listed in the Cons, the temp sensor and the Arua software. -If I knew about this temp sensor/monitoring issue and Arua software issue I would of waited for a different version of this card like MSI or XFX to be in stock.

One of the BEST routers out there10/18/2017 12:41:33 PM

Pros: -gigabit ports -tri-band, one 2.4ghz, and two 5ghz bands. -works well and can provide a good signal for over 15 devices connected at the same time. -does not crash often compared to other routers. -easy firmware update through the asus software. -provides full 90mbps down / 12mbps up through both the wired and wireless -POWERFUL signal (see other)

Cons: -wish the led was rgb, different color for different state.

Overall Review: -sometimes led was on but wifi was not working (simple fix was just to restart the router, might need to restart the router maybe once a month, dont know if its router or comcast issue) I had to restart my previous cheap routers like twice a week because it kept disconnecting or cannot handle more than 8 devices at a time, I can connect over 15 devices on this router and it doesn't even sweat. -I use to use a cheap tp-link router, and it would cover my house and maybe 1/2 of my neighbor's house, (townhouse setup) This asus router can cover 2 and 1/2 of houses over, with high speeds, at the 3rd house the speed will be lowered but that is a lot of walls to go through. -it is worth all the $$$ i paid for it when this first came out, now its super affordable. Best upgrade ever for people who wants worry and stress free connectivity.

Awesome AIO liquid cooler10/18/2017 12:32:48 PM

Pros: -works well to cool my 6700k at 4.6ghz, I can overclock to 4.8ghz stable but was not worth the extra heat and noise. -has RGB capability -fitted into the Fractal Design R5 case with a Asus z170 Maximus Hero VIII board. -cools slightly better than a Cooler Master Hyper 212+

Cons: -can get pretty loud since it has both pump and fan noise. (might be getting louder as its getting older) -rbg was not well supported yet and was not popular yet at the time of purchase.

Overall Review: -a wider 280 rad didnt fit with my motherboard (Asus Hero ViIII) and case (Fractal Design R5), so I picked this one up instead.

works as is, good for dampening keyboard sounds.10/18/2017 12:27:06 PM

Pros: -works well to dampen the clack sound of when the key hits the backplate, so it do not disturb co-workers while working/ typing. -basically the same as the o-rings from WASD.

Cons: none

Overall Review: -it came free as a combo with a Rosewell Mechanical Keyboard (RK-9000V2 BR) -wish the combo came with a keycap puller too.

Simple Keyboard design10/18/2017 12:23:50 PM

Pros: -low price compared to other companies/ manufacturers. -mx-browns to give the tactile feedback without the clicky sounds. -simple design, works as is. -gives option for both ps2 and usb. (N-key rollover through ps2 and 6-key rollover through usb.)

Cons: -lower quality than other manufacturers. There is more flex to it. -keys get very glossy after normal use, not high quality keycaps. -weird clamp design for the space bar when trying to put a rubber O-ring, it was easy to take off but difficult to put back on.

Overall Review: I am using this for work as a software developer. I am typing code all day and it feels great. It is definitely worth the money to get any mechanical keyboard over a membrane keyboard. Makes typing a joy.

Gskill RAM10/18/2017 12:17:59 PM

Pros: -really fast a reliable ram from GSkill. -lifetime warranty, good support from GSkill (from other/ older Gskill ram that I used)

Cons: -price

Overall Review: Wish newegg gives the same sale/deal for all colors of the same series of ram. I do not understand why the different color heat spreaders would not be on sale. I bought the ram because of the price, at least $10-$20 cheaper than the same ram with different color heat spreader like the red or black ones, and also cheaper than other companies at the time of purchase.

Solves needing to use wifi.10/18/2017 12:13:54 PM

Pros: -More stable connection than wifi -Very easy to setup, just plug and play -Can get the full speeds if placed correctly in the house 90mbps down / 12mbps up

Cons: -Cannot be used on powerstrip, too much electrical interference.

Overall Review: -You will have to understand how your electrical wiring works in your house. try different combinations of the outlets, some outlets are wired longer, or further away from each other which would give a weaker signal or slower speeds.- -Do not plug into a powerstrip because there will be too much electrical interference. -Been working for me for over 3 years and have not given me any issues or problems. -I wonder if it will survive a power surge/outage since its plugged directly to the wall.

Awesome do everything backpack.10/18/2017 12:08:04 PM

Pros: -Simple design. -Can hold A LOT of things, see other. -Water resistant, except for zippers.

Cons: - wish they have the water resistant material to cover the front and side zipper too; they were only place that would get wet from heavy rain. - does not have ventilated mesh on the back, my back gets pretty sweaty from carrying this.

Overall Review: I have used this backpack for commuting back and forth from school even in the rain and it has kept most of my things fairly dry. Remember its not water proof but water resistant only. I also have used this as my travel bag, its so huge. I have carried so many things on here. I have put like 2 pairs of jeans, 5 shirts, 5 boxers, 5 pairs of socks, and a long sleeve jacket all in here. It has saved me lots of money from not having to check in bags. I use this as a personal item and my carry-on luggage on the side. I have a lot more interest in this company for backpacks in the future.

great game great storyline, good cut scenes12/2/2015 7:23:37 PM

Pros: blizzard makes the best cut scenes for their campaign. I love all the starcraft games from the orginal, to brood war, to wings of liberaty, to heart of the swarm, to this one legacy of the void. Sc2 is a very casual game. and I love the story line.

Cons: the disk seems to open up the battle.net client instead of installing the game first. if you have battle.net client already open or downloaded, it will get stuck for a while.

Overall Review: I hope blizzard makes a startcraft movie, like how they are making the warcraft movie.

huge cooler11/30/2015 5:30:21 PM

Pros: it is suppose to be one of the best 280mm all in one cpu water cooler. but I am sad that I cant use it.

Cons: Does not fit in the fractal design r5 with asus maximus viii hero. the heatsink on the mobo is too tall. same thing with ram but you can just get low profile ram and it will work. but this cooler will not work with some mobo with taller heatsinks inside a standard atx case.

Overall Review: Does not fit in the fractal design r5 with asus maximus viii hero. the heatsink on the mobo is too tall. same thing with ram but you can just get low profile ram and it will work. but this cooler will not work with some mobo with taller heatsinks inside a standard atx case.

amazing keyboard4/16/2015 8:14:50 PM

Pros: cherry mx- browns, pre-installed rubber o-rings. 2 usb cables to ensure it has enough power for the LEDs and data transfer rate. I love this keyboard. and the logitech gaming software is by far the better ones that i have used compared to other brands.

Cons: glossy finish leaves too many finger prints.

Overall Review: cherry mx-browns are now my favorite switches. it has the tactile feedback like the blues without the clicky sound.

wonderful 1tb portable hdd2/28/2015 9:12:20 AM

Pros: 1tb storage, portable, usb3. works like it should, not much preinstalled software that slows down the drive

Cons: none.

Overall Review: I now own both the wd and seagate portable drives and I can say that both drives perform equally as good because they both use usb3.0 The only difference is that each brand goes on sale at different times during the year.

Disappointment Lenovo2/28/2015 8:50:59 AM

Pros: comes with newest broadwell i7, performs great., 16gb of ram which is overkill but if its only like $60 more than the 8gb version why not. 1tb hdd, decent speed, not slow.

Cons: came with superfish preinstalled. This software is a preinstalled spyware. It took me several hours to remove with several different virus removal tools to make sure it was gone out of my computer. This is the main reason I am giving this laptop a 1 star.

Overall Review: Aslo the Functionkeys are programmed weirdly. The laptop functions are bounded first. if I want the regular F1, F2, etc keys for programs I have to press the FN key with the F1 (or other function keys) I am sure I can reverse these binds where if I want to mute or change volume, brightness, etc I will press FN to activate it. But again... more work for me to set it up the way it should work. Also, I am wondering why 1080p isn't the standard on laptops yet.

Hyperx did it right!1/21/2015 12:49:43 PM

Pros: 53mm drivers, they actually go around my ears not on! Detachable mic, so its not always in the way. built with similar technology that beyerdynamic uses in their headphones. (of course not to the same level) This headphone actually sounds wonderful for the money. It is made with aluminum so it will will last a long time and will still be light and comfortable to wear for many hours.

Cons: Detachable mic, I am not sure if this connector is sturdy, I unplug and plug my mic a few times a day. Mic, the quality on the mic isn't the best but at least there isn't any static or distortion in the sound.

Overall Review: I heard hyperx cloud version 2 will be the new and improved version of this. It will be the ultimate headset that is actually worth the money. My old headset had a strong clamping force and the drivers were 40mm and it was uncomfortable after a couple hours of use. I will always have to take a small break. I replaced them with the Hyperx Cloud and I love how the Hyperx Cloud feels on my head.

works for what I need11/27/2014 11:27:37 AM

Pros: works well for my house, which is small. the range is pretty good works well when plugged in, I get full 50mbps download and 10mbps upload

Cons: signal strength isnt as good as I wanted. My room is only a wall away and signal strength sometimes drop in my room. No gigabit ports, but I already knew that before buying

my first mechnical keyboard!11/27/2014 11:22:55 AM

Pros: mx-blues with the tactile feedback, great feel on my fingers.

Cons: the clicky sound is really loud! I should have went with browns.

Overall Review: The "click" is already loud, if you bottom out your keys, there will also be a "clack" sound which makes it even louder. I put rubber o-rings on each key of my keyboard and it helps a little with the sound, it prevents the keys from bottoming out so co clack sound. The clicky sound is takes a while to get used to.

works flawlessly11/27/2014 11:20:16 AM

Pros: 10 ft cable! and gold plated, so far so good, worked on various devices like my gpu, ps3, and laptop cord is pretty light.

Cons: cord is light, which mean its thin I am not sure how thickness affects performance, but since its only 10 ft, its not bad

excellent power supply11/27/2014 11:20:09 AM

Pros: its just a rebranned seasonic works well, everything I need and have room to upgrade if I need to.

Cons: I wish cables were longer and more sturdy. I 8pin cpu power cable was barely long enough for my case, I wish, it was a really tight squeeze to make it fit.

Pros: $60 for 1TB, good price to performance. 7200rpm

Cons: I hope this will last a long time :D its really a hit or miss with this. some drives are awesome and can last 5 years, other drives might last 1-2years.

Great game2/18/2014 10:37:58 PM

Pros: One of the best games I played. Great story line. good graphics.

Cons: ps3 only.

Overall Review: I wish there was a PC version because I am terrible with the ps3 controller. and I wish it was 1080p instead of 720p.

This headset cold be better.2/18/2014 10:32:03 PM

Pros: it came with a cool hard case. The mic on this headset is amazing. It is the best mic on a headset I ever used. and it is better than the clipon zalman mics people can get for $10. The noise isolation is really good. The headset is not too bad after breaking it in. I have a big head, and I wear glasses and I am able to wear it for 5hrs gaming sessions. The build quality of this headset seems very good, its so sturdy. Its made of metal so its more sturdy then plastic headsets.

Cons: It takes a long time to break in. It hurts to wear for first 2 and half weeks. only 40mm drivers which is too small for most ears. and is a major factor of why it hurts to wear. Makes you take off the headset because of discomfort or slight pain.

Overall Review: I wish this headset had bigger drivers. if this headset had 50mm drivers, it would be one of the best headsets out there. I own another headset from plantronics, I have the gamecom 367 which was comfortable but was not durable because it was made of plastic, it slowly broke over time. I have a big head so plastic headsets breaks easily for me because I pull them too wide to put it onto my head. I am not afraid to pull these headset too wide because its made of metal. The discomfort or slight pain is not all bad. It makes you take more breaks between your gaming session which is a good thing.

great bang for buck2/18/2014 10:17:09 PM

Pros: EVGA's ACX cooler is well designed. It keeps the gpu under 30C on idle and I have never seen it go over 60C while playing games. I can barely hear the card even when playing games. (I only play games on 1080p) I upgraded from a gtx 280 and this was a well worth upgrade. I love that this card has a backplate. The cooler and backplate makes the card look super sexy. I have not overclock the card (but it is easy with the gpu boost 2.0) I have no need to overclock because the games I play does not gain any performance boost if I over clock the gpu.

Cons: I wish EVGA still had lifetime warranty for their products.

Overall Review: This card became best bang for buck after the prices of AMD cards went up because of cryptocurrency mining like bitcoins and litecoins. I have a EVGA gtx 280 that lasted me for over 6 years. I expect this card to last just as long for me :)

Better than on board11/8/2012 1:50:03 PM

Pros: -Head phone amp! for under $20 xD -this little card can provide a lot of power! -playing music and games have been improved 20times. -great sound quality for both headset and speakers.

Cons: -you can hear small static noise while switching songs, without pausing or stopping. -lots of static noise if you forget to stop or close your music before you turn off your computer. (I removed 1 egg because of that)

Overall Review: I bought this card because LinusTechTips said any cheap dedicated card is better than any high end on board, and he was right! I wish the default profile for the sound card was speakers (not headphones) I plug my headset into my front panel and I plug my speakers at the back. When I unplug my front panel, the speakers have sound, but its soft (still in headphone profile). I have to manually change it into speaker on the ASUS Xonar DG software to have normal sound output.

Cheap11/5/2012 10:19:23 AM

Pros: Cheap in price.. Arrived on time. It fits my big head.

Cons: This is made of very cheap quality, feels like i can easily break it by accident. Not comfortable when trying to use for more than 1-2hours. Super long cord that gets tangles up really easily. I personally dont like the long cord, but i guess its my fault for not reading the specs. I just bought it because it was cheap.

Overall Review: I guess you get what you pay for. I guess its both a good and bad thing that its very cheap quality, i wont feel bad if i lose it or break it. I mainly use this while commuting. Better than no music at all.

Cool Mouse2/25/2012 12:48:13 PM

Pros: Price, Wireless Lazer, unifying receiver. Good responsive mouse. I bought it when it was on sale. I only had this for about a week, but so far so good.

Cons: Wireless. Yes its both a pro and a con that its wireless. I have yet to experience the glitching of the mouse during a game.

Overall Review: I upgraded from a $4 basic optical microsoft mouse to this $25 wireless lazer mouse. I haven't test it on enough games yet to see if its good or bad.
