Pros: Lots and lots of bits
Cons: No room in the case for the ratcheting handle. Found this rather odd
Overall Review: Overall, an excellent set that will pay for itself many times over in the coming years.
Pros: Price, ease of installation, quality of installation, quality of item itself.
Overall Review: This screen protector worked great for me - far better, in fact, than another one I'd previously purchased for 3 times the price. The item fit my Archos 101 G9 perfectly, and from what I can tell hasn't adversely affected the touchscreen's sensitivity at all, which was precisely the problem I had with the previous, more expensive protector. All in all, a great product, and offered at a very reasonable price, too.
Pros: It does have three USB connectors that fit devices.
Cons: Unfortunately, not all of them work with the gadgets I wanted to use this cable with...
Overall Review: Bought this cable to cut down on the total number of them I need to carry with me on business travel. But things did not work out as planned...
When connected to my BlackBerry Bold 9700 using the Micro B, my phone not only will not connect to my desktop or laptop, but I get an error message on the phone stating that it will not even charge it, either. I get similar results when I try to connect my Archos 101 G9 Turbo tablet to my computers, too (Micro B). The only device it seems to work properly with is my Garmin Nuvi 1350 (Mini B connector). But 1 out of 3 just won't cut it for me, so I'm forced to give this product a poor rating.
Pros: What you get for the price! Beautiful, bright display in 24" size. What's not to like for the money? I never use any monitor's built-in speakers anyway, so this isn't an issue for me. In fact, I have no idea how poorly they sound, and probably never will - it's just not important, and doesn't detract from the value of this monitor for me. Newegg's shipping is simply phenomenal, as I'm sure everyone knows already, and the monitor came very securely packaged, too.
Cons: There aren't any, at least for me.
Pros: Works flawlessly. I set up a RAID 1 (mirrored) configuration in my new build, and wanted to stay away from motherboard RAID - this was the perfect solution. Newegg's shipping is legendary, and the item was very well packaged, too. Sure beats some other unfortunate experiences I've had with other sellers where I took delivery of thoroughly gorilla-ized, damaged goods 1 or even 2 weeks after I expected to receive them. Kudos to Newegg for taking care of business so professionally!
Cons: What VERY little hard copy documentation it came with was a joke. Factually, it was correct, it's just that it didn't have too many "facts" in it. Fortunately, on-line support is readily available (Silicon Image), and I had no problem downloading and installing a management utility as well as a new BIOS version, which flashed without any problem at all. The accompanying CD-ROM is pretty much worthless, too. I'd dock the card at least 2 eggs if the on-line resources weren't available, no matter how well the device itself worked. In this day and age, packaged product documentation should NOT be an annoying afterthought for OEM's. Shame on the ones that don't take this seriously!
Pros: Great little travel mouse: small, light, and feels good and natural to the hand. Uses 2 standard AA batteries, which I like - why bother with a charging dock or cable when you're traveling? Connected (paired) quickly and easily and works very well. Newegg shipping was just great - quick as usual, and the item was very well packaged.
Cons: It may be a bit pricey, but I still consider it a good value for my money. Hopefully, the investment will pay off in terms of longevity.
Pros: Lots of space for the money, quiet, fast drives that run reasonably cool. Bought two of them for a RAID 1 (Mirrored) configuration in my new build project. The case has a dedicated cooling fan for the hard drives, and that's a very good thing. I learned a valuable lesson about such things from the Dell PC I owned that used the ill-fated BTX design (practically no cooling air flow for the drives at all!) Was very happy with Newegg's legendary fast shipping, and the fact that if anything, the drives were OVER-packaged. They were padded and boxed as though they'd be dropped off the delivery truck right into the street.
Cons: Apparently, I bought these drives just before the price dropped by $15. Oh, well. That's life, that's business, and it all seems to even out eventually. Truth be told, I'd made several previous purchases just after a price reduction, so I simply cannot complain about this! From several of the recent reviews I'd read, the "jury is still" out regarding the drives' ability to survive the next several weeks, so I'll keep a careful watch on them.
Pros: Excellent products (keyboard and mouse). Bluetooth connection sets up quickly and works flawlessly. Logitech support is very, very good, too.
Cons: LCD display very hard to see.
Pros: Sturdily built, well padded, lots of pockets and pouches, and weighs a lot less than the Icon bag I had been using.
Cons: Not a single one at this time.
Pros: Does exactly what it claims to do.
Cons: Won't plug themselves in (Just kidding)
Pros: Biggest laptop drive I could find for my aging Dell. Excellent price and top-notch Newegg delivery, too.
Cons: Too bad life expectancy isn't directly proportional to capacity... After only 3 months, it wouldn't boot up; I got a message indicating that a critical Windows file was corrupted. Unfortunately, this happened while I was on the road on a business trip, too. But several years earlier, I had another laptop drive go out on me while traveling, so since then I always "clone" the drive and take a backup (spare) with me. That turned out to be a lifesaver in this case.
Overall Review: When I got back home, I checked the drive using several different utilities, including Western Digital's own Data Lifeguard Diagnostic for Windows, and they all gave the thing a clean "bill of health." But I'm not buying it; I know what I saw some 1100 miles away from home, and I simply don't trust it anymore. I found that WD's RMA process is very good, however. Maybe because they're having to do it so often they're becoming really proficient at it? Hmm?
Pros: Sturdily-built, integrated power supply, adequate cooling for drives, quiet.
Overall Review: This truly was yet another case of "money well spent." Thanks and kudos to Newegg for their delighfully quick shipping, too!
Pros: Does exactly what it should do. Works great in a Kodak EasyShare P712 digital camera.
Pros: Great price, great product. No problems at all (dead pixels, etc.) easy set up and beautiful display. Probably one of the best values ever for such a monitor.
Cons: None whatsoever.
Overall Review: Newegg order processing and shipping still amazes me. To date, I've placed over 50 orders with them, and they have always done a great job of getting my goodies to me very quickly and in top-notch condition.
Pros: Cost per gigabyte is excellent. Historically, I've had very good results from WD drives, so I fully expect the same from this big boy, too.
Overall Review: Runs a bit on the warm side, but then again I've got a BTX case, with its attendant poor cooling, so that's just my bad luck.
Pros: Excellent value; a great product at a very attractive price
Cons: None at all.
Overall Review: Got this for my son who was using at dual-monitor (CRT) setup for his music editing work. He positively loves it, and it arrived in top-notch condition with not a single dead pixel.
Pros: Installation was a charm, processor did exactly what I'd expected.
Overall Review: Installed this in an elderly friend's computer (Dell Dimension 2400), replacing the original Celeron, and what a difference! The formerly sluggish machine now hums right along, and my friend's a very happy camper!
Pros: Plug 'n Play, no hassles whatsoever.
Overall Review: I installed this in my elderly friend's computer (Dell Dimension 2400) and it worked splendidly; more and faster memory made his machine zippier, and he was a very happy camper!
Pros: It doesn't cost a small fortune, so I'm not out all that much. Buffalo AOSS is great!
Cons: Disappointing performance with my Dell Latitude C840 laptop. Apparently draws too much current from the USB (1.1!!!) ports, and goes catatonic. Tried it on my other PC's with "so-so" results.
Overall Review: This is the second Buffalo product I've purshased that failed to live up to expectations. That's really too bad, since I've been a fan of their products up until this point. Guess that's just the way it goes sometimes...
Pros: Easy setup, and Buffalo AOSS can't be beat.
Cons: First Buffalo product I've bought that wasn't up to either my expectations or that company's billing.
Overall Review: Tried this device on a remote computer already on a wireless network, using a Buffalo WHR-HP-G54 router, WLI2-PCI-G54 PCI adapter with a WLE-HG-NDR high-gain antenna. Results were very disappointing in terms of signal strength - at best only about 66% of original setup.
Pros: Does the job, and does it very, very well. Quickly, too!
Overall Review: Bought this drive to replace another Seagate 100GB laptop drive in my Dell Latitude C840. The drive replaced was a model ST9100823A (Momentus 5400.2 series). This drive is noticeably if not spectacularly faster. Have been very impressed with Seagate drives these past several years; love the 5-year warranty, but so far, have never had to return any of the many Seagate drives I've purchased, and hope it stays that way.
Pros: Nifty little adapter kit that does the job! Plenty of hardware included, too. Can't go wrong with this baby.
Pros: Upgraded both of my PC's DVD burners from the very, very good NEC ND-3420A's (also previously purchased from NewEgg) to these Samsung units. Fantastic improvement in terms of speed! Of course, also bought top-notch media to use with them, of course.
Pros: More expensive than other media, but well worth it in terms of fast burn speed and overall quality.
Pros: Modular - attach only those cables you need. Very good build quality. Reviews have been excellent, so expecting good, long service life from this PSU.
Cons: Nary a one.
Overall Review: Installed this in my Dell Dimension E510 as a precaution against failure of its stock (weenie) PSU. Installation was a breeze and I couldn't be happier!
