Pros: RGB light, easy connector for Phanteks cases.
Cons: The magnets on the strip isn't strong enough to hold it upside down. You will need the included double side tapes, and the gel back strip isn't tape friendly...
Overall Review: Doesn't work with ASUS motherboard header directly. You need another cable - Phanteks RGB LED 4 Pin Adapter (PH-CB_RGB4P).
Pros: Feature rich motherboard - comes with HDMI / display port, on board sound, 2X RGB heads, AIO pump head, WIFI and Bluetooth.
Sees M.2 SSD immediately.
Cons: BIOS is confusing. Yes, I did update BIOS to the newest version.
I selected XMP memory profile on the easy setting screen because I got XMP enabled memory, and the BIOS asks me if I want to enable the related tuning features ( something like that), I pick Yes, then the PC won't POST or just freeze in BIOS.
After several tries, I picked XMP profile without saying yes to the following question, and the problem finally went away.
Pros: Good color, lots of options, light weight so you can carry it around. No worry of light bulb go dark.
Cons: The fan is kind of loud.
Overall Review: Worth the price
Pros: Drop in with windows 7, useful SSD tool can be downloaded from intel.com
No problem what so ever.
Overall Review: This is an OEM version, doesn't come with mounting kit.
Pros: *Important* only use the same type USB cable this drive comes with. I tried to use another longer USB cable I have on hand. Even though the drive spins up, but it took a long time to read something. Maybe a power issue. But the drive works perfect with the short cable it comes with.
It works out of the box, no extra power adapter required. Looks nice. Reads everything from CD to DVD-R.
Cons: Can't find this model on MSI US site. Only in MSI China Site.
Overall Review: Light weight is really a double-edge sword. When reading media, this dvdrom shakes and it is loud.
Pros: It works and feel comfortable in hand.
Pros: Great board once you get it to work.
Cons: Check out the ASUS forum or Google this board first - This is a must!
ASUS's QVL memory list is updated with the new bios on board. However, you may get a older version BIOS MB like I did. The older version has a big problem of memory compatible - very few 1 G model works!
And because the ION chip uses shared system memory, if your RAM is not compatible with your MB, you can't boot up to post screen to update your MB BIOS = you are scrXed.
Overall Review: This BIOS issue really is a reason why so many people returned this board. Checkout the asus vip forum before you buy or just wait couple months.
Pros: package is nice. Ram is perfect.
Pros: What a great value! This case comes with a 250W power, which also has a quiet fan. I built a NAS server with this case and no additional case fans!
You can fit 1 standard DVD rom drive, 2X 3.5 HD in this thing without a problem. Of cause, you better make sure you use the right kind of motherboard. I have the ASUS ATOM 510 board.
Cons: None really. HDD light may be a little bright, but a piece of electrical tape solves the problem.
Overall Review: The power supply has 2 Sata power connectors + 2X 4 pin power connector. So make sure you have power cable converor if you have more than 2 sata drive.
Pros: Pop-in, worked, no problem
Nice outter cover
Pros: No problem at all. Running Freenas, shows 4 CPU (2 core + HT), 60MB/S transfer speed on large files.
Pros: Double side print is a must to save paper.
Fast just like any other laser printer.
Big paper tray to hold 250.
Setup as wireless printer is really easy.
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: Got this on sale. Auto duplex print is the feature I really want, and it works!
Pros: No software needed when use with Windows 7. (Win 7 finds it on the internet)
Cons: Even with the latest driver and software from AVerMedia's website installed + quality cable and cable splitter installed, it only finds few HD channels compare to my 3 year old HDTV (6 vs 60). And the picture is not stable at all in Windows Media Center.
I tried AVerMedia's own software, and it doesn't work (no picture).
Also, this card disappears from device manager from time to time.
Overall Review: I have a powerful PC with Intel I7 cpu, 6G ram and a good graphic card with 1 g ram. So I'm sure it's not my pc.
Pros: Very accurate. Easy to use.
Cons: There is no reset switch on this thing. You have to disconnect it to reset.
Pros: Easy to config. Finds everything without a problem.
Overall Review: Bought this to replace my last nvidia chipset "gaming" mb which went bad after 3 years.
Always use intel chipset with intel cpu.
Pros: Use a base instead of OEM plastic cliper, which always come loose (and break sometime). Paste is included.
Pros: Ok for normal use - web browsering, word, watch a movie, etc.
Cons: Not for fullscreen 3D games! I used this to power my PC, an I7 920 with a single GTX285 video card. It caused BSOD/Crash/game freeze all the time. It may take 20 minutes, but it will happen.
Overall Review: PSU is not some place you want to save your money. I bought another brand name PSU to replace mine, and all the crash/BSOD is gone, knock on wood!
Pros: Very stable power supply.
Overall Review: Bought this to replace my other PSU. the other one is unstable, cause BSOD and crash all the time.
Pros: handles normal PC work.
Cons: Doesn't provide advertised power, not stable under load. Can't even handle a 500W Max system.
After all, this PSU caused me so much trouble, lesson learned! Please read my stoy in next section.
Overall Review: Let me share my story with all of you.
I had 3D game freeze/crash after I built my new PC with this PSU. I thought it was my memory, video card, overheat, loose cable, etc. But none of those was a problem.
Computer always start to freeze/crush after 10~20 minutes, sometime the freeze recovers in couple seconds, sometime it just BSOD to restart.
Here is the BSOD code: f4 (03, a8006b41940, a8006b41c20, 80002f88240), Windows 7 tells me it's an IO error, may caused by harddrive. But there was nothing wrong with my western digital harddrive.
Finally, I start to think it's my PSU:
Here is my hardware:
I7 920 CPU
1 DVD RW
2 SATA western digital HD
ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 MB
single MSI GTX 285 video card
Logically, a 700W PSU shall handle this system with no problem what so ever. That's why I never thought of PSU will be my problem. However, this PSU is my problem after all. I swaped a new Antec 750W PSU in, problem solved!, no more freeze!
You get what you paid for!
Pros: Small - It's even smaller than I thought.
Picture is very clear.
Overall Review: Buy it, you won't regret.
Pros: No tape. Recorded video can be viewed by windows media player. Small, easy to use.
Cons: Video qulity is poor at night use default settings.
Overall Review: I did a side-by-side compare with my old JVC miniDV. It turns out; you have to TURN OFF the image stability function to get better video.
Pros: Good Samurai game, if you like the 1st 2, you should like this one as well.
Cons: Game's graphic is really lower than average.
You need a big screen tv (32 inch +) to read all the small text on screen.
Overall Review: If you like samurai game, you will like this one.
Pros: Fast. Replaced my LAN cable. Stable.
Cons: none so far
Overall Review: I download BT stuff using this USB Key, no problem at all. Run this over night, no problem at all.
I never used driver CD, WIN 7 did all the installation by itself.
Pros: Quiet and moves more air. Good looking led too.
Cons: hard to put the screws in. un-threaded hole?
Overall Review: It is quiet as advertised.
Pros: I have a i7 system + a Nvidia 285GTX card. No problem so far.
No useless fancy lights.
Quiet, can't even hear the fan.
Cons: none so far.
