Pros: works great, display current wattage, voltage, amps, cumulative kwh, time since last plugged in, etc. helped me get an idea of how wasteful some electronic devices are. my printer HP C5150 uses 6 watts/hour when turned off - who designs things like that?!? 19" DEll LCD uses 30 watts per hour, 40" Samsung TV takes 200 watts/hour...if you want to learn more about your el. consumption buy this thing. it's cheap and it works.

Pros: uhm, comes with a bunch of cables which if purchased separately would cost triple the amount i paid for this controller.

Cons: bad design - sits a quarter of an inch too far back in the bay. SD memory card slot is too tight and you cant easily insert a memory card in it. 1st fan controller lasted only 10 min. i wonder why dont they put some kind of fuse to prevent burn outs... i shipped this back and asked for a refund. it's just a low quality product. it cost $36 and newegg asked for 6$ in restocking fees. I asked them why I should be paying restocking fees for returning bad quality products that i don't want to own and they refunded the fees.

Overall Review: the idea behind this controller is great but the built-in quality is not good. keep looking for something better.

Pros: plays pretty much anything you throw at it, compact, straight forward menus

Cons: - remote control has an annoying lag - just enough to make you press buttons twice when it's not needed... - often times when my hard drive goes on standby this device would crash and/or would not wake up until unplugged/plugged again.

Overall Review: it's a very useful device to have around, i have mine hooked up to a home theater audio receiver. i download HD movies and watch them in full HD with DTS sound. it's impressive! once they fix the bugs i mentioned above this device would be perfect.

Pros: this is sleek, well designed, quite, cool running external hdd. although it doesnt have a cooling fan, the metal enclosure dissipates the heat successfully and the hard drive stays cool to the touch even after days of non stop operation. i was truly surprised by how cool this thing stays. i get up to 31MB/sec when using the USB cable. the eSATA is supposed to be faster but i haven't tested it extensively yet - the few times i tried it - it registered speeds slightly higher than those of the USB.

Overall Review: i bought a second one of these for my brother and would recommend this product to other friends.

Pros: fairly quiet, aluminum heatsink type of body absorbs some of the heat away from the HDD. dropped the temp of my 640GB WD blackseries HDD to about 31-34 when idle (from ~40C).

Overall Review: i put two of these - one on the bottom of the HDD one on top but the addition of the second one (on top) did not generate further incremental drop in temperature.
