plug and play

Pros: took 10 minutes to install in my ps3 and I was up and running...
Cons: none
Overall Review: ...not a con of this drive in any way, but be sure to back up the PS3 update file on a thumb drive, otherwise you will get a formatting error. You have to save the file (2.xx) under the created folders PS3 -> UPDATE in all caps, and then the console will prompt you to format and install the update. Just an FYI, so you can save the extra 15-20 minutes of headaches.
not worth the $$

Pros: sounded good on paper, the sequel looks pretty sweet...
Cons: terrible graphics, controls, load times, etc. not an enjoyable game and not worth the 4.4gb HDD space on your ps3.
Overall Review: This is a shoddy port and the graphics look somehow worse than my PS2. Don't let the cheap price dupe you - save up for a better game!
Excellent purchase, some minor flaws

Pros: This monitor dwarfs my 19" Acer I was using before this. It's HUGE. Colors are bright and vibrant, and no visible ghosting in any of the games I've played so far (both on PC and my PS3). Tremendous value: I get a steep discount on Sharp products as I work for one of their vendors, and this was still almost half the price of a comparable 32" 1080p Aquos. Nice amount of inputs for use as an HD gaming and/or PC monitor, and ships with a generous batch of cables.
Cons: A DVI input and/or an additional HDMI would have been nice! As others have noted, the speakers are absolutely terrible. But then again, anyone expecting anything else from a monitor in this price range needs to have a reality check. The interface is clunky and takes some getting used to. Also, brightness/contrast settings need to be tweaked from their defaults in order to maintain your vision!
Overall Review: Unfortunately my PS3 disc drive failed just as I had received this monitor, so I have been unable to test Blu-Ray movies on it (still waiting for Sony to send me a new one). However I was able to play some demos I had on the HDD in 1080p glory and they looked fantastic. I am now using this as my PC monitor and I just don't see how I can go back to my 19" Acer. Pair this up with some Logitech Z-2300 speakers and you've got a pretty unbeatable sub-$500 HD gaming set up. Excellent purchase and highly recommended from this gamer.
dissappointed

Pros: Looks nice, fast while it lasted.
Cons: Failed after 3 months. After spending a ridiculous amount of time troubleshooting my entire system after getting frequent, random restarts, I narrowed the problem down to the two sticks of Bastillix ram. Luckily, Crucial's service was quick in getting me an RMA and I am now waiting on my replacements. Hopefully they last a little longer!
Overall Review: I would steer clear of these. I was very surprised to find that these failed so quickly, as I have used other crucial products (non-bastillix, and much cheaper) in previous systems and have had great experience with those.
excellent deal

Pros: wow, the display is beautiful on this monitor. no dead pixels or ghosting of any sort. colors look amazing, I'm noticing effects and seeing stuff in games that I've been playing for awhile that simply were not visible on my old CRT. And all this for under $xxx
Cons: I don't know if anyone else has noticed this (or knows a way to fix it) but this monitor seems extremely bright during normal desktop use. The thing defaults at 100% brightness, but even at 50% it's almost blindingly bright.
Overall Review: Also, the recommended 1440 x 900 resolution doesn't work with my Radeon X850 in desktop (but it does in games). I updated all the drivers and the monitor just doesn't work at this resolution. Dont know what's up with that. Just an FYI.

Pros: trippled my system memory with these, everything is running a lot smoother. this ram is really fast, and the heatsinks keep temperatures down. also, LIFETIME warranty. awesome.
Cons: none
Overall Review: i really wish more companies operated like newegg and crucial.
