Pros: USB 3 is fast and works well with all USB drives and plug-ins. Nice indicator lights
Cons: I could do without the switches. They could come in handy if you are formatting some drives and you don't want to format the wrong one. They can be annoying sometimes when something is switched off and you think it is on.
Overall Review: good value for the money
Pros: easy installation
Cons: It did not come with the SFF back mounting bracket but I modified the original part.
Overall Review: A good solution for a PC that does not have the USB3 capability. Mine has been work great so far.....
Pros: good packing
Cons: I have two of these and neither one of them has a working optical output port. Having the optical port is the reason I bought them. One of the cards is not recognized by the pc at all. Too late now to get a refund since I didn't even use them before the warranty expired........
Overall Review: Would not recommend them-but I think these are discontinued anyway
Pros: Sandisk name for all it's worth--------
Cons: To be safe I thought I would buy a card with a proven good name like Sandisk-----but nooooooooo. My card went goofy on me. Right out of the box it had problems. I did manage to transfer about 1.3 gigs of info out of 13gigs. I could not format it even with Easeus. The data all turned to alien caractors.....I am sure Newegg will take care of me . That's why I buy from them!
Overall Review: sure---there are bound to be lemons but buyer be ware.....
Pros: Drive is large enough for a lot of files===
good protective enclosure==
great support from Corsair!
Cons: Be careful not to loose the cap!
Overall Review: I had been using the USB2.0 version of this for quite a while. The drive began to get flakey after much daily use but to my amazement it was still under warranty. After I contacted Corsair about replacement they sent me a new one. I received a 32gb USB3.0 flash drive! This drive works great in my adapter. It is fast as lightning. I transfer a lot of tv shows on it and it takes only a few seconds to load one-hour shows. I also have all my utility programs for fixing and setting up pc's on this drive. I feel very secure with this drive as it has proven reliable. I am always going to go with Corsair products from now on. One time they even sent me a new cap to replace my lost one for free!
Pros: Very fast transfers-reads and writes.
Good price on sale.
Has a low profile bracket...
this is a just a basic unit---
Cons: no internal header for front panels ports
I had to use the cd for the drivers but no biggie
not really a con but you may not have a Molex connector on some of the more slimmed down newer pc's. I had to actually install one on an HP unit. The unit only had SATA power cords and one fan plug....talk about cheap!!! That's what they made soldering irons----------
Overall Review: I can't believe how fast this thing is. I put this in a cheap HP sff pc for a faster usb port and it really works great with USB3 flashdrives! It transfers all my video/medial files so much faster than the old USB2. I am so glad I got this......no waiting around! Now to see how long it will last......for the price just get it-------------------
Pros: cheap price for such a large card
Cons: The description "Boasts" high speed class 4----that's nothing to boast about! That is pretty slow but I knew it when I bought it.
Overall Review: I used the card in the pc and it worked for a 3gig folder with four files inside. I could read it and write to it but had a hard time deleting the folder for some reason. Even a reformat would not delete the folder but I did delete each file manually. The card will not work for any camera I
I tried it on. I formatted it in NTFS and it still did not work in any of my cameras which are all SDHC ready and call for that form of format. I will return the product for another one--shouldn't have been so quick to buy something so cheap but Newegg has always been good about returning products that don't work. I will do a little more research with the company to see if they can fix it.........
Pros: Fits well in the hand-very ergonomic
* light weight
* extra buttons are great for navigating especially the forward, back buttons
* the F/B buttons are in just the right place for easy thumb reach
* accurate placement of cursor
* good price point for all of its features
* lasted three and a half years of constant use!
Cons: * some think the mouse is too light giving it a cheap feel
* no software for assigning the buttons but they can be reprogrammed in most of the games I play.
* the wheel button failed-pushing button down allows you to move the page up and down freely
* the right button started to act crazy-doing things it wasn't supposed to.
Overall Review: I thought this mouse because it had a lot of the features I wanted for a good price. I can't live without the forward and reverse buttons for navigating web pages that's one of the biggest reasons I bought this mouse. We use this mouse in the kitchen computer which is more like a community PC so it gets plenty of use. The right mouse button and wheel button failed recently but the mouse had a good run: it lasted three and a half years! I have had other mice but the F/R buttons were at a weird place and difficult to actuate without looking down to hit them just right. The ergonomics on this mouse are very well thought out for my type of use and it is still comfortable even after hours of use. For the price I paid for it compared to other mice with the same features I think I got good value. I will buy another one.
Pros: can be recycled in a crusher
Cons: Could be the worst player ever------
Overall Review: This is a very low video / photo viewer. With only composite cables it only has the capability of 480....if that. The photos were all color distorted. Would not play any type of videos in any input: sd card or usb flash drive. -always says file type not supported. Firmware update no help.(if you can find it) The specs are a total lie. This is a piece of s&*t and not even worth the shipping. I had the black N-box and it was not bad -even networkable. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this thing at all costs...Even the composite cable was defective missing one of the prongs: I had to use one of my own not to mention the dead battery in the remote........JUNK!!!!!
Pros: Works as a charger for the I-phone
Easy to use
Cons: The wire to the phone came loose from the plug--now it's useless---
Overall Review: Was real happy with this item till the wire came off the plug. If you are using this just be careful to pull on the plug only-not the wire!
Pros: not affected by gravity-still works as a paperweight--------
Cons: Never did get one that works. I sent the first one back only to get a refurbished one tht does not work...All at my expense for shipping!
Overall Review: I thought I would finally get a good hardrive from this company but the new owner WD makes sure the quality is the same as theirs-------c rap!
Pros: I bought these to replace my Senheiser buds that served me well for a few years. I needed more bass and these things delivered-maybe a little too bass heavy. I went to the media player's equalizer settings and tuned them just the way I wanted them to sound. Very happy!
Cons: All the wires on the plug and speakers are straight in.I would have liked them at a right angle instead but no biggie. You have to be careful about removing the earbuds and phone jack not to pull on the wires--same as any other earbuds. Time will tell about how long they last. I use mine for workouts and so far so good.
Overall Review: As inexpensive as these things are and as good as they have performed for me I will be buying more..................
Pros: Easy to set up
nice alternative to wiring cat5
Cons: I can't really complain about the performance. It did work really well while it lasted.
Overall Review: I really liked this setup because it was convenient and easy to install . One day it just quit working. I suspect it got a surge in the line. You cannot hook this up through a surge protector so there you go..Went through all the troubleshooting items but still no joy. I had a TP Link router that did the same thing but for different reasons. I went through all the RMA stuff to get a replacement. I talked to a support person on the phone who could barely speak or understand English. After getting all the info She told me that another person would contact me. She emailed me to ask if I was in the US--Huh?-didn't I just give you all the info? Oh well... anyway I never did hear from anybody and never did get the item replaced. Alright another lesson learned. I should have learned from the first failure of the TP router but memories grow dim.
Lesson: any product is only as good as the manufacturer's promise of service that goes with it. Case in point: ASUS!!!!!
Pros: I was a little leery about buying this LED light bulb because of such poor performance of previous led lights I had. I bought this as a test but boy was I surprised. I put the light in a clamp-on reflector fixture above my work bench and turned it on and wow it was bright and it has a nice white color. It is brighter than the 40watt bulb I had in there. I will be ordering more of these and the larger 60watt ones as well.......
Cons: The spread of the light is a little narrower than a regular incandescent bulb but still ok in a fixture. Not a slam on the product but the packer did not show common sense in arranging the contents. The packaging materials are fine but the item was put on the bottom corner of the box and the "Air bags" were put on top! Come on Newegg teach these people how to pack-even hardrives on the bottom of the box? Sure they have to pack a million things: it can't take more than a second to do it right. Glad the bulb was already packed in a good factory box.
Now I wish I bought more of these! It was on sale for 5.99 including shipping-good deal but they probably will get even cheaper as time goes by. I will also buy some 60watt bulbs for regular lighting in lamps and such. Buy some for yourself and see the difference from the older LEDs.
Overall Review: Only time will tell how this bulb will perform and what the longevity will be. So many manufacturers make wild claims as to how long the bulbs will last. I never had any CLF bulb last nearly as long as the claims of the maker. Hope this type of technology using LEDs last longer than the CFLs. My biggest concern about this bulb is the heat. It does get a little hotter than I expected. It is a lot heavier than a regular glass bulb but then again it has a transformer in it. I will re-review this item a year from now if it lasts that long....
Pros: * Inexpensive
*Fast Newegg shipping
Cons: So small you can easily lose it.....
Overall Review: I had an older Gateway laptop to repair. I got everything to work except the sound. It drove me nuts so I decided to try this Syba usb sound thing. I wasn't quite sure what it was. Being so inexpensive what could I loose? Was it a proper sound adapter or what? I also had an older Altec 4.1 sound system to check out so I hooked this Syba to the Gateway and it worked! Wow that thing rocked! I was really surprised it worked at all given how cheap this thing is. There is a three year warranty on it to boot.. I finally did get the old Gateway sound to work after finding the right drivers but I'm glad I bought this for future trouble shooting.
Pros: It just works--Seems to give a good steady power to whatever I used it for in the car. Didn't overheat.
Cons: It's a bit too large for what it is. The build quality is not the best but it still works so far. The price is low so don't expect Apple quality.Only time will tell how long it will last. I have used some other smaller units but they burned out after a short time.
Overall Review: At this price it's worth trying. I needed one for travel. It works the GPS and charges the phone.
Pros: * Nice small size
* Cap snaps on the back for a firm hold--if you remember to do that.
*Faster than USB 2.0
* excellent price point for this size
* activity light is nice to have
* larger capacity for the price
Cons: This drive gets hot!
Overall Review: I am using this through an add-on adapter card since my older mobo does not have usb3.0. The flash drive is marginally faster than the 2.0 port. I am using this device as it arrived without re-formatting it. I would get faster speeds with the ntfs format but hesitate to do that after reading other reviewers' problems after doing so. I am happy with it so far. I transfer tv shows and movies to it and so far it has worked flawlessly. I did notice that after a larger file transfer of after the drive was plugged in for a while it gets hot, not melting hot but hotter than any other flash drives I have. Maybe this is unique to the USB 3.0 protocol since I have had no such issue with any USB 2.0 drives that I use. The heating issue may be what's killing the other reviewer's drives. I always remember to remove the flash drive after each use or transfer. I like this drive and want to keep it alive as long as possible. Only time will tell how long it lasts. This is the first USB3.0 drive I bought and have high hopes for it. I just wish someone would come out with a router with a working USB 3.0 port for network use........oh well-----but that's a different story.
Pros: Lucky to get this form factor at a good price. The power supply works well and has more power than the old one in my Foxxcon sff case. The unit seems to have a much better build quality than I expected at this price point. It did come with a power cord. The ps fit perfectly in my case! --runs quietly
Cons: No cons with this unit yet-only time will tell. The computer runs almost always 24/7--hibernates.
Overall Review: A lot of TFX power supplies are much more expensive. This one is rated 300w-good power for this form factor and works well with my little computer. The price was a little high but I need it and it is worth it for the quality, I hope it lasts a long time. Shipping was a bit slower on this item than usual but still no complaints---Newegg is always great!
Pros: Slim form factor makes great use of space. Lots of USB ports. Can put just about anywhere. All the ports work at once for all those flashdrives you can use. I have no need of the power supply as anything I use dosen't require one- in fact I don't even know where it is. The hub never failed.
Cons: The only con I can think of is the weak magnet on the back. I can't use it on my computer anyway because it is made from aluminum. I did remove the magnetic strip and hot glued the thing on the front of my monitor shelf. It's thin enough not to interfere with anything and is readily available for use.....quite handy!
Overall Review: I got this on sale at a very reasonable price and great Newegg fast shipping. I have had it for about a year and still works good. I don't use it as a workhorse but it works fine with the use I give it. I hope this same form factor comes out with the USB3 ports some day.
Pros: Still working flawlessly after one year of service.
Just an update on my experience of this product after a year of use. It still works great and has a room full of space for all my utility software, movies ,tv shows and pictures. I like the rubber case, a bit large but feels good in the hand and it doesn't get beaten by all the hard objects in my pocket. Performs transfers quickly even large ones without a problem.
Cons: No cons really except the cap, but all caps on these things are prone to loss.
You can pull the circuit board out of the rubber skin without much effort after some useage...
Overall Review: A real nice flash drive for everyday use. Especially useful for transferring files from one location to another where a network is not available. Great for sharing! I lost the cap but I think I actually sucked it up in the vacuum cleaner. I contacted the Corsair web page. filled out a form and they sent me a new one free! Thanks Corsair I will keep a close eye on my cap from now on.
I have since upgraded my main computer with USB 3.0 and can't wait to use Corsair's latest flash drives.
Don't hesitate to buy this flash drive for fear of failure or poor company support. Reliability is worth the money....
Pros: None that I can think of ---
Cons: *Really poor quality
*only one of the mounting holes matches the case
*CF card does not fit
*no response from any of the card readers
*no instructions at all-The regular 2.0 plug is only a half a plug so you better know your pinout before you plug it in and know where it goes..
*When anything was plugged into the USB 3.0 outlet all the other regular USB ports died!
Overall Review: The box showing this product on the front cover is copyright 2011....Did they even have a USB 3.0 port back then? Take a work of advice and DO NOT BUY this junk and take a chance on ruining your motherboard--just not worth it. Ok I cheaped out and got an expensive lesson. I am sure I can count on Newegg for a refund.
Pros: Surprised by the quality of the mount. This is a heavy duty mount not a cheap flimsy one. These usually cost a lot more. All the hardware is included for all sorts of surfaces. The lags are immoveable after going into the studs--you can hang on this thing. I had no qualms about hanging my heavy plasma 50" television on this mount--now I feel safe. I got this on sale for 40 bucks shipping included and very fast delivery. Couldn't be happier with this product from Rosewill or Newegg.
Cons: Not really a con but i wish the the outer mounting holes were another inch farther apart because of my oddball stud spacing in that area between the windows. I had to drill a couple of holes in the mounting plate but no biggy.
Overall Review: For the money and quality of this mounting bracket you can't go wrong. I highly recommend it!
Pros: Small size
great idea for isolated devises and home theater
Cons: Router could not recognize this devise at all. Wasted a lot of time trying to get this thing to work.
Overall Review: Had high hopes for this unit to hook up with my home theater components like media player, television and htib but no go....
The device did not issue an SSID or IP address so it was completely useless! Dagnabbit!
As always Newegg support and RMA service was terrific! I give them 5 stars!
Pros: It's small and cheap
Cons: I am using this with the Pivos Aios media player because all of the other adapters I have won't work with this media player. I had been using the ethernet cable until it quit working.(cat5e broke somewhere) I did finally get this connected to my router and network and I'm back in business---not! Yea it connects alright but way too slow to be of any use. It takes 30 seconds just to open a file on the media player from a wireless pc let alone try to stream or transfer anything to it in less than a week.
Overall Review: Was really hoping I could use this adapter for the Aios at least temporarily but it just aint gonna happen. The fault could still lie in the poor firmwares offered by Pivos but I did try several of them. The Aios does do an excellent job of playing files of all sorts from the internal hdd and the flash drives but useing the Pivos adapter is questionable at best--maybe I just got a dud......
Pros: Has three lights on the front. It has lots of nice features including a usb port for network storage and use. It has new wifi capability ( a new adapter(s) when it comes out at a reasonable price). Dual band. Easy but somewhat limited user interface. Easy firmware update.
Cons: Huge! This thing is big enough to put two full sized hard drives inside the case. Lots of newer features but only usb2? Come on this thing costs two hundred bucks and should at least have esata and USB3.... The ethernet ports should at least has some indicator lights but not one..The most important thing to me is the throughput and speed. The 2.4ghz band is very slow and laggy. The range is not very good either. It has a hard time streaming a text file let alone an sd video. I was so happy with this router when I first got all the features to work that I want to use. I am thinking about upgrading all the adapters etc for future use- that's one of the biggest reasons I bought this (advanced?) router. I am using both cat5 and wireless on my network at home. I have all the home theater components running through this using the internet connection through a new Motorola Surf Board broad band isp. I have since disconnected all of them except the Media Payer with its own 1TB hard drive. All was working fine until it began to slow down---more and more as time went on. I restarted the router sever times, made changes to the settings including the channel for wireless. It seems to be running about a good G speed at best. I love to send videos and pictures to my media player for viewing not only on the player but for use anywhere in the network. Great! It can't seem to keep up anymore. To send a 6.68 gig video file to the network media player via a cat5 (gigabyte) cable it is still transferring after 7 hours!!!!!! Heck that's longer than actually watching the video.
Overall Review: I had such high expectations for this router and initially. I was happy with it at first but then it just slowed down to speeds I haven't seen since 2002. I have had a lot of routers over the years and quite frankly I just don't want to waste hour after hour troubleshooting the entire network all the time. I had a good old Trendnet router for years that was just a basic router and now I wish I had back that reliability and speed . This new expensive super duper router is just a slick talking huckster in my book and I'm the sucker that fell for it. My advise to you is to let this router product line mature a little more with better firmware and more reliable chip sets. With a name like Netgear you would expect advanced and reliable netware. There are a lot of components to a network system that can go wrong so I can't blame everything on this router. I do blame it for being so stinking slow-------------------------------------
