Upgraded my HP MediaSmart Home Server
Pros: High clock, low power, 1MB cache.
Cons: Should be cheaper for a singe core CPU.
Overall Review: Newegg specs say 512KB cache but AMD box says 1MB. Upgraded the CPU in my HP MediaSmart Home Server and the new one is much faster and 2-3C cooler when installed with Arctic Silver.
Looks awesome!
Pros: Looks cool. Aligns reasonably well with my Silverstone LC13 HTPC case.
Cons: Doesn't come with fans. Not a great performer (wouldn't keep a quad core happy). Installation is a bit of a pain. Only came with two thumbscrews for mounting when documentation says and shows to use 4!
Overall Review: I'd give it 3 eggs if it wasn't missing hardware.
Two make a great bridge!
Pros: Extremely easy to bridge Even when bridged one device still works as an access point Provides great wireless bandwidth in places crowded by 2.4GHz devices Dual Ethernet port means bridging two devices (ie HTPC and Xbox 360)
Cons: Device is rather large Ethernet port is 100Mb
Overall Review: I couldn't get a clear 2.4 GHz channel to go through my house and provide sufficient bandwidth to stream 1080p content to my downstairs htpc. This goes through two walls and a floor and provides me a reliable steady connection. Ethernet port only runs at 100Mb but I can consistently max it out with sustained transfers. That means more than enough bandwidth for HD video content. Awesome deal with BOGO.
Best Bluetooth Headset
Pros: OEM packaging didn't bother me. The included earpiece fit just fine. Noise Assassin is amazing. Tested it by rolling down the window on the fwy at 70mph and the listener on the other end couldn't tell. Turning off the noise assassin made my voice inaudible over the wind noise.
Cons: None
Overall Review: The piece is surprisingly small.
Amazing case!
Pros: Great looks. Fantastic fit and finish. Outstanding air cooling and acoustics. Massive amounts of space. Future proof.
Cons: Price. SATA backplane didn't work with my Velociraptors or SDDs.
Overall Review: Great case all around. Would be a great deal at $350-$400
G.SKILL always reliable
Pros: Worked great in my HP MediaSmart EX470 Home Server
Cons: None
Overall Review: Awesome deal.
