Pros: -Makes any 120mm fan RGB
Overall Review: I bought these fan frames not really expecting much. I didn't build my computer with RGB in mind, but some of the components came with it, so when my 360 radiator fans didn't come with RGB, there was a large section in my build that was just dark and didn't look right. If the rest of my build hadn't had RGB, I would have just left it alone, but again, the dark area of my build just didn't look right.
After installation, which was simple and straightforward, I daisy-chained the three Halos Lux Digital RGB fan frames I purchased and plugged a single connector into my motherboard. Once I booted up my system, I was surprised at how great the fans looked with the Halo frames reflecting off the fan blades! I was a little worried my black fans would absorb a lot of light and appear dim, but boy was I wrong! It was nice and bright and now I feel like my build is complete!
I like the design of the Lux model, and the cables, which have a braided look, look better than the regular Halos fan frames. I really didn't read the description of these frames carefully when ordering, so I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered the frames were made of aluminum/metal construction. I was expecting plastic, so I believe that the price is justified in view of the metal construction.
Initially, I was a little worried I wouldn't like these frames, but after installing them and seeing what my system now looks like, I have no problems recommending these fan frames for any build. These fan frames are of great quality and definitely brings your build to life... or light!
