Do NOT Buy Under ANY Circumstances6/12/2012 10:03:15 AM

Pros: Runs quietly. Seems to work well. 850w, what's not to love.

Cons: Where do we even start... Firstly, this PSU is NOT able to put out 850w even under the most extreme conditions. You are lucky if you get 500w. Next, this PSU will slowly kill your system if you are trying to run anywhere close to the wattage listed. It cannot perform at that, don't try it. This PSU is listed on several PSU tier lists as a DNBE (Do Not Buy Ever). Thermaltake has some good products, but this, or any other ATX PSU should be avoided at all costs. (If you're buying from that well known local electronics store (bb), go with the 700w corsair, you will be much happier.) Lots of DoA of this product. Small note, it big and clunky. Not truly a customizable modular PSU.

Overall Review: I made the mistake of buying this PSU because my other PSU died. I needed it in a hurry, so I regrettably bought from the local "pentacle purchase" (bb)... Big mistake... My computer couldn't run at full potential and was strained badly because it was not receiving appropriate wattage. Found out about the tier lists and was able to return it at the 30th day of return... Luckily. Popped in the new 700w corsair and it runs wonderfully. Please, before buying parts, research them, especially when you buy a PSU.
