eMachines Upgrade
Pros: Works well in my old eMachines ET1352-01. Using the HDMI out with Audio to connect to my 50" flat screen. Great picture and sound. Netflix, YouTube and HDHomeRun all work Great! Card runs cool for not having a fan.
Cons: None for my use.
Overall Review: I also added a better power supply (I had lying around) and upgraded the system memory to 4GB and the operating system to Windows 7 Pro. I am now using the system as a HTPC. I am pretty happy considering I was ready to toss it thing in the trash!
Junk
Pros: It is pretty and worked for almost two weeks. Had to say something nice because there is no option for zero eggs!
Cons: Make sure you read all the other reviews on this receiver before buying. I choose to ignore the bad reviews and I am sorry I did. Mine failed after two weeks with intermittent loss of video feed-through. I purchased this for it's A/V switching capabilities so I was pretty upset. Yeah, it sounded fine but became totally useless for my application.
Overall Review: I have been a big fan of newegg for years. Unfortunately I purchased this receiver elsewhere due to price (TD). I had the hardest time returning it for a refund and was sorry I had not purchased from newegg. They are always great about return. Purchased a Yamaha RX-V471 to replace this from newegg. Much better quality.
eMachines Upgrade
Pros: Purchased this to bring some life to my 3 year old eMachines ET1352-01. It was running an Athlon II 160u 1.8GHz (AM2) with 2GB of DDR3. I upgraded the memory to 4GB, the operating system to Windows 7 Pro and popped this baby in and it runs like a whole new machine!
Cons: Heat-sink/fan assembly is pretty flimsy but works just fine for a 65 Watt CPU. Not worth deducting an egg, but worth mentioning.
Overall Review: I also added a better power supply (I had lying around) and a Radeon HD 5450 1GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 video card to the setup and now use the system as a HTPC. I am pretty happy considering I was ready to toss this thing in the trash!
Great Range
Pros: I am very impressed with this phone system. Works great and sound quality is very good. The most impressive thing is the range of the headsets.
Cons: I had to put everything together and wait for the headsets to charge before I could play!
Overall Review: I was skeptical about the quality of this phone system after seeing it at a local retailer but I could not be more happy now that I own this product.
