Great Little CPU8/19/2021 11:11:53 AM

Pros: - Ordered on Thu 8/12/21 and received it via UPS on Fri 8/13/2021 (from Newegg NJ warehouse) - Packaged well: kodo to Newegg warehouse staff - Installed on my Asrock AB350 Pro4 with water cooling - Overclocked to 4.1GHz and stable with < 41degreeC o Did overclock to 4.6GHz, but unstable and temp was raised to 70+ - Could have run on AUTO which managed the temp very well o Decided to keep fan speed constant (instead of running up and down because of the speed/temp changes which causes some fan noise - for a very brief moment, but I just did not like to hear any noise from my very quiet PC) - Overall, highly recommend this unit for a budget and fast PC

Cons: None.

Overall Review: Buy it when it is on sale.

Cons: None

Overall Review: Would recommend to buy when it is on sale

Great Beginner Drone4/20/2021 4:40:40 PM

Pros: - Product was delivered promptly - kudo to Newegg Shipping - Product was well packaged - Instruction Manual was easy to understand (just prints were too small to read - had to use a magnifying glass to read) - Scanned the QR code from the manual and installed the app, DEERC FPV, from GooglePlay store, to my Samsung smartphone - Turned on the drone after charging the provided batteries fully (about an hour), then connected the drone via WiFi (it showed up as HolyStone in the WiFi list of my cell phone), then the funs began (see the photo I took) - Overall it is easy to use - Only did the inhouse flights so far, will take it to the field in the near future to try out the range, etc. - Overall I do recommend this unit for any beginners with a smart cell phone (do note this unit does not include any controller unit, and you must have a smart phone in order to play it)

Cons: - None (other than the Instructions Manual's small prints) - A Suggestion: The package did not include any extra propeller blades or blade guides. For future products, please include them, it will help improve customer satisfaction (AND cut down your cost associated with answering those customers' calls to replace them).

Overall Review: Yes, I do recommend this to beginners. Please see attached photo and video.

Great Little TW Headphones4/15/2021 7:19:51 AM

Pros: - Received product promptly - kudo to Newegg Shipping- Worked right out of box- Even it said it was Refurb, it looked and felt like brandnew- This is the first set that actually last the whole hour of my daily running- No skip or anything while on call/telecon- Sound was great

Cons: - No really a Con, but just mention it for my experience- This headphone works so well that I might not hear the car coming behind me when I run on the open road/curbside (vs. my previous headsets that I could always hear cars coming up behind me so that I could keep an eye for any potential dangers)- Be very careful with any cars coming behind you when running in the open, you will likely not hear any noise from behind

Overall Review: - Great headset

OK Product with poor instructions1/28/2021 7:14:05 AM

Pros: - Price: Bought it on sales and it works, so the Price Performance is great. - Now my 5GHz speed is 780 Mbps (vs. 300 Mbps before)

Cons: However, the poorly written instructions were no help to first-time (using this Wavlink product) user. I'd suggest the Mfr to completely rewrite their Quick User Guide. Descriptions of every mode of the applications, Repeater, AP,..., are ambiguous. The web management method to log in was the worst. Mfr should provide clear examples to walk users thru the log in processes. That one page Quick Guide is not enough space for the instructions and examples needed to do a decent job. Invest more money on technical writer and proof-readers.

Overall Review: Tech is fine, but Mfr should invest on technical writers and proof-readers.

Great Face Masks7/3/2020 5:02:33 PM

Pros: - Very fast delivery by NewEgg: Kudo to NewEgg shipping staff - Well packaged - 50 pcs in a color carton - Visual inspection shows they are OK - same as other low-cost face masks - Elastic ear straps are OK - did not find any broken when pull - They are just for regular use to filter out dust (as stated on the box, "not for medical use") (Not N95 type)

Cons: None

Overall Review: - Do not use if you plan to use them to keep out gems/viruses, a quick trip to the supermarket should be OK so long as you keep social distancing from other shoppers (even you are wearing masks)

Great Little LED UVC Light5/18/2020 6:02:34 PM

Pros: - Arrived promptly from China in 3 weeks - Received via USPS (tracking info was available): small packet, no visible damage - Packaging was OK: wish the light tube was in a hardshell packing instead of the mere bubble packing, the light tube housing is made of hard plastic, so it is somehow protecting the unit - Charged for about an hour and the charging light turned from Red to Blue signaling it was fully charged and ready to use - Turned it on and it was warm to touch - I have no technical/detection equipment to test the unit in terms of the claimed ability to sterilize: just have to take its claim and treat it as a novelty item (instead of any proven medical equipment) - Had to give it 5 Eggs for its low cost and arrived quickly, undamaged

Cons: Instruction was on a small sheet of paper and poorly written.

Overall Review: If any readers know of any easy and safe test to test this kind of UVC light tube, do post here to educate us. Thank you in advance.

Great Little 1000W PSU4/28/2020 12:54:37 PM

Pros: - Arrived quickly: Kudo to the Market Place Seller - Packaging was solid: Product was well protected - It is a similar modular, not a full modular: The Main Power Connector cable is built in (connected to the unit already) - The Main Power Connector cable has a separate (extra long) 8-pin CPU Power Connector cable - Love IT (vs. many cheap PSUs that have "standard" length cable) - Runs quiet - 1000W is too much for today's PC builds, but at this price, who care! - Carton box says it has Japanese capacitors rated 105-degree C, can't see the inside of the PSU, so I'll take its word for it - 2-year warranty

Cons: None

Overall Review: Try to buy it when it is on sale!

Cons: - None

Great Little TWS Earbuds2/9/2020 5:35:05 PM

Pros: - Product arrived quickly and in great packaging - Unpacked and charged for couple hours before use - Did read the included owner's manual before use (it is a BT device and the usual pairing knowledge would do if you don't want to read the skinny manual) - Took the earbuds out of the case and they turned on automatically, went into my Samsung S8+ BT Settings and saw the i10 under the available device list and connected it without any issues - Sound was great - went out for a 10K run and the earbuds worked perfectly (there were couple small skips from the left earbud, but the skips only last a tenth of a second, and over a 40-minute period) - Received couple phone calls during the run (as a test I asked my wife to call me before I left for my run) and it worked, again, perfectly (very happy with the product - as you can tell by now)

Cons: - Owner's manual was too skinny - it should have been written with more information and in bigger fonts

Overall Review: - Great value at this low price - Will see if they can last a year or two

Great Logitech Wave MK550 Keyboard Mouse Combo1/25/2020 5:19:42 PM

Pros: - Product arrived quickly with good packaging: Keyboard in bubblepack, mouse in a poly bag, and a USB extender cable, no manual or other accessories. The outer packing was an unbranded brown box. Found the USB Unifying receiver in the mouse as stated. All items accounted for and were in great (brand new!) conditions. - Did not see any scratches or blemish marks. Keys and mouse buttons worked fine. - No batteries included. - Inserted the 4 required AA batteries and the USB receiver in my PC (Win10 Pro) and then booted up my computer and they worked right away without any additional software installation or setting changes. - The Microsoft Media Center button now opens to My Music folder - for those who want to know what this "obsolete" key would do.

Cons: - Wish it was equipped with backlit (just could not find any similar keyboards with backlit and "sleep" button on the keyboard - see Other below for further info) - Note to all: If you have any info on any similar keyboard with backlit AND a "sleep" button, feel free to respond here. Thanks. (I know it is very easy to click the windows/Power/Sleep and achieve the same as the "sleep" key on this keyboard, but I just want to be able to press a key on the keyboard and put the PC to sleep. I also know doing a macro is another way to do that.)

Overall Review: One of the reasons why I picked this keyboard is it has a "sleep" key (labeled "PC" on the upper right hand corner of the keyboard). I wish Logitech (or any other mfrs) makes one with the "sleep" key and backlit.

Great Little FV-2030T (If you are on Comcast/Xfinity, you'll need DOCSIS 3.1)9/19/2019 1:05:29 PM

Pros: - Product arrived promptly - Received an email from Vendor/Shipper one day before to offer help for any issues (instead of giving any non-5-egg rating without giving them a chance to ratify first) - Product was packaged well and installation was straight forward: I used the included Driver CD to install the WiFi and BT driver and thus could connect to the web right away, then use the Update Driver feature in Windows 10 to update the driver to the latest versions (did not see any changes on the speed). It was running around 200 - 400Mbps - Then I went to Intel and download "the" latest drivers (version released 07/07/2019): did not see any increase/change in speed - I knew my PC was capable of 1Gbps (via AUKEP AC1200 USB) before, so I dig in a little bit more, it turns out the Intel unit requires DOCSIS 3.1 to get to 1.7 Gbps. My Xfinity only supports 3.0 - Won't blame this one "oversight" on Fenvi, but wish they would have done a better job to evaluate the few major cable companies and provide better product info to endusers - BT works fine.

Cons: None other than the product info comment at the end of above Pros section.

Overall Review: None.

Great Little DDR4 Memory Modules8/7/2019 1:57:16 PM

Pros: Arrived quickly from Newegg warehouse: Kudos to Newegg shipping staff Easy to install Only could run at 3466 stable: - XMP profile was set in BIOS at 3600 - 3 times BSOD: Win10 Pro were booted up alright each time, but BSOD after running from a few minutes to 20 minutes (with various error messages) - Selected 3466 instead and it has been running fine (ran Cinebench and other MemTest programs 3 times without any crashes) - No real-life differences (from boot-up to running various applications) from previous set of memory modules running at 2666 (with CL16) - For additional info, please see Other below. Update as of 08/07/2019 (Above initial review was written 06/18/2019 3:10:01 PM): - After having some time to play with the timings, here is the best I have as stable: CL-tRC-tRP-tRAS-tRC = 16-18-18-36-54 running at 3400 MHz - Could run above timing at 3466 but with a couple BODs (a few days apart; total occurrence = 2), since lowering it down to 3400, no problems! - One may ask, have you noticed/measured any differences in terms of boot time and other? No, not really. Psychologically the boot time might have shortened by 1/2 seconds (the boot time has been 10 seconds or less since Day 1) - Just looking at the improvement on CL (CAS# Latency): 16% (16 vs 19) - I am a happy camper. Happy computing to all!

Cons: Instead of the stated 19-20-20-40-60, it is running at 20-20-20-40-60. (Not a big deal, hence did not deduct any eggs in the rating)

Overall Review: I think one of the reasons why I could not get to 3600 is my motherboard which is an entry level board: AsRock AB350 Pro4. I am still impressed with the motherboard which has been running great. Bought the G.Skill modules because it was half the price of my old 4-module set and also wanted to see how Ryzen CPU working with higher frequency memory (and in my case, it makes no difference).

Great Little TV Set Top Box7/3/2019 3:29:42 PM

Pros: - Set up was easy and fast - Roku Channel has plenty of free entertainments - Response speed and playback are fast - 4K is beautiful

Cons: - Received unit with model number 4660X2 instead of the stated 4661R in the product spec page. The only difference, according to Internet research, shows 4661 has JBL (vs. standard headset for 4660) as the included headset which was what I received - so did not return the unit to NewEgg. - No Google Playstore/Chrome

Overall Review: - Unit received quickly via Shoprunner 2-day delivery: Ordered Sunday and received Tuesday. - Removed all channels, such as Netflex, that required payments, but the system still required me to supply a payment method before I could complete the set up - this took one Egg off! - Only use Roku Channels which offer many free choices of entertainment - This replaced my aging Android Set Top box.

Great Little M.2 SATA 3 SSD5/24/2019 5:49:25 AM

Pros: Fast delivery - kudo to Newegg. Installation was quick and easy. SATA3 speed. No other problems, it simply works (as expected).

Cons: None.

Overall Review: M.2 SSD prices are dropping so fast that by the time I write this review it has gone down by 10% already.

Great Little Handvac5/24/2019 5:42:55 AM

Pros: Delivery was quick - kudo to Newegg shipping staff. It is easy to handle. It has a lot of suction power - didn't realize my "clean" home still had that much dirt until I put it to use. Charging time is about couple hours after initial use of about 30 minutes.

Cons: Noise: It is rather loud during use. So don't do your vacuuming while someone is watch TV or wants to have quiet time.

Overall Review: Highly recommended - especially when it is on sale.

Great Little IP Cam5/24/2019 5:37:32 AM

Pros: Installation was OK - did read up reviews from previous posts here which helped tremendously: Kudo to the reviewers here. Setting up accounts using email did not work. Had to use cell phone#. Picture and video are good quality even under low light situations. The 180-degree scan is automatic (do note the camera itself will not move, it is the lens and software that do the scanning).

Cons: Need instructions on the installation and account setup - it would help users greatly. Adding friends was not intuitive at all! Had to put two phones together to figure out which to send invitation to which.

Overall Review: Bought it on sale - highly recommend it IF you can buy them at sale price. After I used it I wish I had bought a few more to replace my aging units.

Great Little NVMe M.2 SSD5/24/2019 5:27:50 AM

Pros: Very fast delivery via ShopRunner: Ordered on Sunday and received it Tuesday (shipping from NJ warehouse) - kudo to Newegg shipping staff. Easy installation (just like other M.2 devices). Did not use the Crucial's own software (Acronis True Image) to transfer the system C: drive: used AOMEI instead. (Did initially try Windows Disk Image Restore, but somehow it did not work - it worked on an older image, but not the recent ones. There was an reported Windows 10 system restore bug that would stop PC from booting after image/system restore. The solution was to Disable Driver Signature Enforcement - an option in Troubleshoot > Advanced Options - this seems to be a problem with the recent 2019 windows updates.) Speed: Did not find any difference in boot-up time vs. my previous Samsung 970 EVO NVme 250GB drive, or Intel 760P NVMe 256GB . Booted into desktop in less than 8 seconds.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: I initially ran CrystalDiskInfo 7.7 and it reported the drive was bad - however, both Windows Diskscan and HDtune reported it was good. Then updated the CrystalDiskInfo to 8.0 and it reported the drive was good and 100%. At that point, I downloaded and installed the Crucial Storage Executive (which is a pretty good software that will also give you some generally ideas about non-Micron/Crucial drives) and it reported the new drive was (also) good (with temperature info - CPUID HWMonitor was not able to report any temp info on the drive).

Great little DDR4-2400 Memory Modules3/19/2019 3:16:36 PM

Pros: Arrived in perfect packaging conditions (retail package) - kudo to shipper (Newegg) Installed in my PC and worked right away: recognized by my mother board (Asrock AB350 Pro4) Ran Memtest86 and passed with no error Ran 24-hour "burn-in" test with no crashes/errors Recommend to buy due to its excellent price/performance (but see Cons and Other below for additional info) BTW, I did notice its Mfg date on the modules was August 2018 - so this must be from a fresh production and should be the best when comparing to their previous production lots.

Cons: It was not easy to overclock (oc): after several quick tries (to 3000 without increasing voltage) and failed (BOD), decided to settle down on 2400 as intended. Its 1.2v certainly can be increased to afford higher frequency, but it would take some time (that I did not have because of the TNF). Yes, it would "pull down" the overall frequency to 2400 if you had some higher frequency memory modules installed before. I had Patriots DDR4-3000 (2X 4GB) installed running at 3000, but after I installed the GEIL DDR4-2400, the best I could do, given the limited time I had, the stable system is 2400. However, have not been able to detect any real changes in system speed response. I have not deducted any eggs here since it does perform as described with potential to go higher when given time to work the oc process later.

Overall Review: This is really on the motherboard, Asrock AB350 Pro4: It worked great with this memory installation. After the installation and power on, the PC went into two separate restarts by itself, for which, it reset the BIOS (that was on DDR4-3000) to Default to allow both types to work together. From there I was able to do my BIOS works (basically to change the XMP profiles and frequencies only) with ease. (This was not discussed in the motherboard owner's manual - that it would "reset" itself. The manual does say the frequency would be lower when all 4 memory slots were populated.) Yes, bought the motherboard here at 03/13/2019 Update: Since last post in November, I was able to overclock the GeIL memory modules from 2400 to 2666 stable. No matter how I tweaked the various timings and voltages, it would not go beyond 2800 without BSOD. Decided to scale it down to 2666 to be on the safe side (rather than running at 2800). My PC system has been running fine. Of course, with the recent lowering memory prices, you may want to choose another brand to allow you to do more challenging overclocking works. 03/19/2019 Update: Hopefully this will be my last Edit/Update (this is needed in order to keep the record straight): As you can see from my 03/13/2019 Update, I was disappointed a bit that my memory speed would not go beyond 2800 (was trying to get close to 3000 per the Patriot Viper 4 3000 modules I had before I purchased the GEIL 2400 modules). It turns out it is not the fault of GEIL (or Patriot), the AsRock AB350 Pro4 motherboard is the "culprit": Asrock's tech support advises the memory speed will drop with all 4 slots populated. As matter of fact, the Memory section in their owner's manual shows a diagram telling just that - I just wish Asrock had included more elaboration about what they were trying to say, but I guess a picture/diagram is worth a thousand words. In that diagram, 2666 is the best when all 4 slots are populated. Well, that is that (no point to purchase new RAM with higher speeds - this "speed saga" has at least saved me couple hundred bucks). Thank you, Readers of Newegg, for your time to read this post. Have a great spring. Bye.

Great Little bioBidet FLOW Kitchen Faucet2/23/2019 11:05:37 AM

Pros: Received promptly from Newegg: Kudo to their order processing and warehouse staff Installation was easy and took about 30 minutes Works as described - no surprises We now enjoy the convenience of the motion sensing technology (we don't have any cats or dogs, so we are not concerned about any accidental operations due to small animals) Bought it on sale - IF you see it back on sale, grab it before they are gone!

Cons: None - but do see the comments under Other below

Overall Review: Note to Mfr: Description in Item 1.B of the User Manual on P.3 could use a little diagram to show what the description - "...aligning the grooves in the deck plate with the arches on the faucet bottom..." - really means. Had to look at the deck plate and the bottom of the faucet very carefully and found the following: - Deck plate: shows two small tabs at 6 and 12 O'clock (the "grooves"?), and - The bottom of the faucet: shows 4 small slots at 3, 6, 9 and 12 O'clock (the "arches"?) Above setup is to allow the selection of the two orientations of the faucet handle: by the side or in front. None of above was mentioned in the User Manual or in any of the packaging materials. I know it is "intuitive" when working with the unit, but adding a little diagram or additional information will help installer save some "guessing" time. Not a big deal and that was why I did not take out any egg and still awarded it a 5-egg rating (and on the other hand, I could be wrong of above finding).
