The Best Mobo Ever!
Pros: We have built many State of the Art computers using Asus, EVGA, Intel and other manufacturers’ motherboards; however, this is the most stable motherboard we have ever had! Everything works exactly like it is supposed to. It has 7 fan leads and three main power supply lines; the two extra power lines are there to supply extra power to overclocked systems (one for the CPU and one to provide extra power to the graphic cards). Though we use this computer primarily as a business machine running Adobe CS5.5 Master Collection for publishing high end photographic and video products; the system is sweet for down time gaming. Our system’s stats: CPU: Intel 970 (overclocked slightly), Primary drive: 240GB OCZ Vertex 3 SSD, Date drive: 4 X 2TB Hitachi HDD in Raid 10, Graphics card: EVGA GTX 580. This machine is the first one we’ve built that maxes out the Windows 7 base score at: “7.9”.
Cons: Though this is not really a con, the board has only two SATA 3 ports; the other 6 SATA ports are SATA 2. It would be nice if they could find a way to provide more of the SATA 3 ports. However, though we have not yet added a dedicated RAID card to get the desired SATA 3 ports; we have read many reports that indicate that as the best way to go. We usually run both a Blue Ray and a DVD burner but ran out of SATA ports to handle our system but we ran out of SATA ports so we had to run the DVD as an IDE drive.
Overall Review: This was also the first system we built using the same manufacturer (EVGA) for both the Motherboard and the Graphics cards. We used to use ASUS motherboards regularly; however after having several failures with them, we have now switched to EVGA for both our Motherboards and our Graphics cards. We use the Nvidia cards because of their enhanced performance qualities when running Adobe's CS5.5 Master Collection software.
Pros: We cannot list any pros at this time because we have not yet received the product.
Cons: We ordered and paid for the product on 6/3/2011; therefore, by rights we own it; however, we have not received any word from "clickhere2shop" (the third party that sold the product to us through Newegg) on the product. So, though we have not yet seen the product. The failure to timely ship is a definate con.
Overall Review: Though we rank Newegg as our favorite place from which to buy computer components (due to having satisfactorily ordered and timely received sufficient computer parts and peripherals to build many custom built state of the art computer systems), this was our first experience ordering a product through Newegg from a third party (clickhere2shop). Respective to this experience, we will not likely easily consider such a purchase again. We will post another response if, or when, the problem is resolved.
Great Product — Easy to Install —Clean Instalation
Pros: We have built many computers and since we found EVGA we have consistently used their motherboards, graphic cards and power supplies; not only because of the quality of the products, but as much for EVGAs awesome service and support. This motherboard lived up to the standard EVGA has already set. As motherboards go, it has an aesthetically appealing look and feel. Its fast; with 32 Gb of fast RAM, a 1 Tb M.2 Intel system drive and a built in display port, the system can be tested without any other cards or periphery firmware installed. That works well for setting up the system and testing each component as you add optical drives, hard drives, graphic cards, modems, WiFi, Bluetooth, etc. to the system.
Cons: The motherboard only has one internal USB 2 header. Therefore when that header is used to connect to the chassis front panel there are no other USB 2 headers for things like the USB 2 lead from EVGAs CLC 280 Liquid / Water CPU Cooler, or the USB 2 header plug from the PCI-e Bluetooth firmware card.
Overall Review: We would add more USB 2 headers to allow more internal USB header connections than that which is needed for the chassis' front USB 2 ports.
Great Product — Easy to Install —Clean Instalation
Pros: We have built many systems, usually using air CPU coolers that are large and cumbersome to install; however this cooler was so easy to install and use it was amazing. The kit includes everything you could possibly need and the instruction for installation are clearly written in easy to understand English instructions with clarifying pictures. This is a closed loop system so there is virtually no maintenance.
Cons: We found no cons.
Overall Review: We mounted this cooler on a: "EVGA Z270 Classified K" motherboard with an: "Intel Core i7-7700K Kaby Lake Quad-Core 4.2 GHz LGA 1151" CPU; which motherboard was mounted in a: "be quiet! DARK BASE PRO 900 ATX Full Tower Computer Chassis". The chassis was designed with many options for water cooling and due to the thickness of this water cooler's radiator we separated the fans from mounted the radiator and mounted the radiator above the internal wall at the top of the chassis and mounted the fans inside the chassis onto the chassis' top wall. The installation was easy and clean with plenty of room between the fans and the motherboard. The chassis has a clear glass side panel the shows off the lights on this cooler. I looks great without any modifications.
Pros: The stylus works as expected. We purchased similar items from the Sprint store for 4 times the price (1 @ $16 vs 2 @ $9); however, after a short time the Sprint Stylus began to fall apart. This stylus seems to be built better. The tip is a bit harder (which is preferred) and the LED and laser pointers are an added plus.
Cons: The LED and laser on switches are buttons on the side of the pointer; which makes them easy to use. Of course, that is the problem as well. Being that easy to use makes them too easy to have come on when you don't want to use the battery power and the batteries are so expensive that you can buy a new stylus cheaper than you can replace the batteries.
Overall Review: We gave it four stars because we bought it for the stylus and we can keep the little paper battery separator in the tool; thus, making sure the lights don't go on by accident. Thus, it is only a little inconvenient to take the paper out if we ever want to use the lights. The stylus is great for the price.
Pros: This web cam is exactly what it is advertized to be. It automatically works well with Skype, which is what we bought it for. The led lights are controlled by an inline volume switch. When the roller switch is turned to its maximum the leds put out a lot of light; when rolled in the oposite direction the light is turned off. All of the software designed to take advantage of a webcam seems to work well with this.
Cons: This webcam comes with no software. Though the manual focus works well, the webcam has no auto focus. The following is not really a con; rather, it's an observation: If you want to try using a simple webcam like this for recording video input, the software available for converting a web cam input to video output will be very inaffective.
Overall Review: This is neither a high resolution camera nor a video camera; so, you shouldn't expect it to preform well for those purposes. We did not give the device 5 eggs because it could include auto focus and some software to take advantage of other possible uses for a webcam.
We are totally dissatisfied with this seller for several reasons: 1. They did not disclose that this product was no longer made by Logitech. 2. They claimed that the mouse was a new mouse; but, they failed to disclose that it was not packaged by Logitech; instead it was in plastic zip-lock baggie stuffed in a generic brown box with no documentation, warranty or anything else that would come with a new mouse. 3. The weights that come with this mouse were included but the metal box that holds them was dented. 4. The mouse did not appear to be new. 5. After we got an RMA from Newegg, HAOZTEC contacted us to offer to refund $10.00. We refused that offer. Adter we had returned the mouse under Newegg's RMA service HAOZTEC admitted that they would refund our purchase and told us to just keep the mouse (of course, it had already been returned. 6. When they refunded the mouse they only refunded about half of what we paid Newegg to get the mouse in the first place. We are still working on getting that resolved. We would never recommend this merchant to anyone!!!
Seller failed to deliver the product. We ordered and paid through NewEgg on 6/3/2011; however, it is now 6/20/2011, and we still have not received the product. Thus, it is difficult to rate the product when we have not yet seen it. Also, we have not heard anything from the company; so, it is also difficult to rate the company.
