Pros: The chip is decent even though i do not own one at the moment. However, even though this chip is decent and all, the FX 8350 HAS been confirmed to launch around the 25th of October. This is a piledriver based cpu, so to be honest unless you are cpu-less right now, i would wait for the FX 8350, it is supposed to be 15% better all around, and it is priced a little higher than the i5 3570k (which SHOULD mean that it is definitely in competing range of the 3570k.) Just though i would throw that out there, i know this isn't a real review of the cpu, but i have done enough digging and homework on it to pretty much know it inside out. Piledriver is what amd promised with bulldozer, i would really wait another month.
Cons: Not everything amd promised (yes i am an AMD fanboy)
Overall Review: Once again, decent chip you could buy it if you ABSOLUTELY need a cpu right now on an am3+ board. However, piledriver will also be am3+ compatible.
Pros: Just did my first build with this mobo, worked flawlessly! Came loaded with the latest BIOS.
Cons: Does come with some bloat. For the smart kids /sarcasm/ that say it can't be removed, First off its optional to install it *facepalm*. Second, if it did get installed you can easily remove using the remove programs section in your windows OS. Its not like its encrypted to be hidden. Took me all of 45 seconds to remove the bloat.
Overall Review: This motherboard works fine with Gskill sniper RAM. I have 16 gigs loaded in the 4 dimm slots. Worked fine, just had to alter the speeds.
Pros: Love how it fits and is compatible with AM3+ platforms. Plugged sticks in and just had to adjust speed from 1333 to 1600 in the BIOS. All 4 sticks work flawlessly :)
Overall Review: Works great in an Asrock 970 extreme3 mobo
Pros: Great RAM, with 16gb you will never max these bad boys out! I love how it works with AM3+ systems also!
Cons: Didn't get any bad sticks.
Overall Review: Working in an Asrock 970 extreme3 motherboard :)
