Great Product/ Value!!!

G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-6400CL5D-4GBPQ
G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-6400CL5D-4GBPQ

Pros: Excellent value. After frustration with another big name brand constantly not posting. G-Skill worked flawlessly. Awesome product.

Cons: can't handle 4-4-4-12 timings. Kept getting a blue screen. Probably due to the memory density.

Overall Review: Great product. I currently use it with a Q6600 OC to 3.2GHz, matches this overclock 1:1 perfectly.

TRASH!!!

ECS A770M-A AM2+/AM2 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard
ECS A770M-A AM2+/AM2 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Cheap.

Cons: Worked ok for a month or so. Now, every time the comp reboots, it takes several tries to get it to post. Overclocking options are minimal to non-existant, cannot change cpu multipliers so Black Editions are NO good. Onboard sound died within the first week. Manual says it supports DDR2-800 memory but DDR2-1066 is printed in huge letters by the DIMM slots. Who knows. Customer Service is horrible, they can't even master English in an email. Avoid this like the plague!!!!!!!!!!!

Overall Review: I have bought quite a few "budget" boards over the years making computers for friends and family. I always accept lack of features and capabilities as a compromise for cost, but basic stability should not be one of those compromises. This is poorly engineered trash. Spend the extra money on a good ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte board. They have reputations and brand power for a reason.

Fast, Fast, and FAST!!!!

Western Digital Raptor X WD1500AHFD 150GB 10000 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 1.5Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drive Bare Drive
Western Digital Raptor X WD1500AHFD 150GB 10000 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 1.5Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: Runs exceptionally fast. Not near as loud as I expected it to be, though the ones without the window tend to be quieter.

Cons: Not available in higher capacities yet.

Overall Review: Two of these in RAID 0 currently offer the best performance. The only problem I see is that most onboard SATA controllers cannot handle the throughput that two of these can put out. Therefor, two of these in RAID 0 provide about a 30% increase in performance, when theoretically, the performance increase should be 100%. If you buy a SATA controller card, in my experience, the performance benefit is more, but its then hindered by the speed of the PCI interface. Either way, these drives ROCK!

Great Overclocker

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4000+ - Athlon 64 X2 Brisbane Dual-Core 2.1 GHz Socket AM2 65W Processor - ADO4000DDBOX
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4000+ - Athlon 64 X2 Brisbane Dual-Core 2.1 GHz Socket AM2 65W Processor - ADO4000DDBOX

Pros: Great overclocker. I overclocked it to 2.5GHz on stock cooling with only a 2 degree Celsius increase in temp under load. AMAZING!! This overclocks way better than the 3600. Which is odd considering it is a 3600 with a 10.5 multiplier instead of a 10 multiplier.

Cons: none

Overall Review: The only downside is that for just alittle more money, you can get an even faster Athlon X2 that will overclock even higher. The low prices makes it pointless to but midrange when the high end is not much more expensive.

Great OC Board

MSI K9AG Neo2-Digital AM2 AMD 690G HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard
MSI K9AG Neo2-Digital AM2 AMD 690G HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Board is an excellent value, has fairly good overclocking ability and had no driver issues in Vista.

Cons: Only one PCI-Express x16 slot. No others.

Overall Review: This is a great overclocking board for a budget. I modestly overclocked an AMD 4000+ X2 to 2.5 GHz with zero issues. The bios is extremely easy to figure out and has lots of advanced options.
