Pros: I ordered one of these 5 1/2 years ago. It's seen daily, often heavy, use. Until last week I never had a problem with it.
Cost me about 10 buck per year averaged out. Pretty good value, I think.
Cons: It's starting to fail. Still working, but quite slow on boot. Long pauses in POST while SMART does it's checks. Makes some loud clicks.
Overall Review: Would recommend
Would buy again, but I'm looking for something bigger or an SSD.
Pros: Best price I found for a full featured receiver with speakers and a powered sub.
Network connectivity is great for net radio. No hassle hook-up, just plugged into my switch and it worked.
Comes with only 5 speakers but is actually a 7.1 ch system. I had another pair of speakers already so I got an extra bonus.
Tons of options for set-up of sound fields.
Sounds great with music or movies.
Video performance is good with Comcast HD, XBox360, Sony BLu-ray, and VGA PC input all tested.
Smart phone remote app available.
Cons: Remote is a bit confusing for some operations, but I assume the more I use it the easier it will get.
Otherwise, no complaints.
Overall Review: I got this on sale for a bit over half the $799 list it has right now. Not sure how the pricing stands up in that range to other offerings, but if you can pick it up on sale, you will not be disappointed.
Pros: Nice price and handles every game I've thrown at it without a stutter. Very happy with the performance.
Cons: No green channel on secondary video output. Everything looks purple.
Overall Review: I almost went for the GTX but decided to save a few $$$ and I'm glad I did. My monitor limits me to 1280x1024 and this card handles everything ( FEAR, Far Cry, Quake IV, HL2, etc ) at max setting with no lag at all.
Pros: Nice price for a full featured NF4 board. As always, I'm impressed with the quality and ease of setup ASUS boards are known for. No stability problems what-so-ever.
Overall Review: If you are looking fora good skt 939 board and don't plan on going SLI, you will have a hard time beating this one.
Some have complained about noise from the chipset fan, but I hear nothing with this setup. ( though my last had a delta on the CPU cooler, so anything less than a hairdryer sounds quiet to me :) )
