Pros: Heavy duty and well insulated
Overall Review: Product working fine, but this is just day one.
Pros: Easy install, set bios in motherboard for M2 and was picked right up by windows 7. Installed Samsung NVMe drivers. Installed the data migration tool. Migrated Windows 7 from 2 Samsung 850 Pro 256GB(Raid 0) drives to the new 950 pro. Reboot windows and set bios for the new boot, to be 950 pro. Boom simple and easy set up and transfer. Took less than 20 minutes included installation, bios adjustments, and data transfer.
Overall Review: Actually my 850 pros in raid 0 have a little higher sequential read/write speeds, but the 950 pro has almost twice the 4k read/write. Thanks Samsung for a great product.
Pros: More energy efficient than the 580's it replaced. Definite improvement in visuals and frame-rates vs the older cards.
Cons: 256 bit memory interface, Can only afford one..
Overall Review: This card scored 15984 in performance mode with 3dMark11, my score with GTX-580's in 3 way SLI was 15876. Improved the visuals in all of my games versus the 580's. Highly recommend this card if you can afford the price tag...
Pros: Red Led matches my stock 140mm case fans, good air movement, quiet compared to two 120mm fans on Corsair H120i that they replaced
Overall Review: Slightly on the expensive side, but not overly outrageous..
Pros: Easy Installation, dropped CPU temps 6c versus Cooler Master 212 EVO that was installed.
Cons: Stock fans sound like a Kirby Vacuum Cleaner has been installed in the case
Overall Review: Be prepared to replace the loud stock fans that come with this Cooler. I replaced them with 2 each Corsair Air Series AF120 CO-9050015-RLED 120mm Red LED Quiet Edition High Airflow Fan. Made a huge difference in the fan noise emission.
Pros: Got more than I expected out of this combined with the 4790K, and GSkill 2133 memory. The only bench mark I ran was 3DMark11 and this system bested by older 980X with Asus MOBO and GSkill 2000 memory. I utilized the same video card and hard drives in both systems and got over 1000 points higher 3DMark11 score than in the older 980X, most likely due to to upgrade to PCIE 3.0 gi ving better bandwith for the testing
Cons: Put a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO on this and system still runs warmer than I would like. Usually idles around 36c and will push up into the med 70c when under a heavy work load.
Overall Review: I did not update to the newest bios seeing as how it was more for the Gen5 intel CPU's. I selected XMP profile for ddr 2133mhz memory which atomatically OC'd the board to 4.4Ghz, left the CPU voltage at auto and turned off intell speed step. Have had no issues with this motherboard whatsoever. Will probably upgrade to water cooling at a later date to combat this from running as warm as it does. This board is nothing more than the Maximus Hero VII given the identifier ACU for Assassins Creed Unity because it has a pretty box with ACU characters and the code for the game which I already owned. Gave the extra game to a friend...
Pros: Start up is a lot faster than my old Crucial SSD, but then they had better be. I went from a single SSD to two of these in Raid 0.
Cons: Software provided for testing and migration does not work when the drives a in Raid 0. Drives are seen in bios but not the software. The software does work and sees the drives if they are set up in single drive configuration.
Overall Review: Had issues installing Windows 7 service pack 1. The service pack would fail to install through Windows Update. I went to Microsoft and downloaded the iso for the service pack and burned it to a dvd using Nero 12. Installed with no problems from the dvd, just simply refused to install through the update.
Pros: Purchase Astro AS50 headset and met a dilemma. My motherboard did not have optical output and could only achieve 5.1 surround through USB. Installed Razer surround and disabled and removed the motherboard audio drivers. It may be simulated 7.1 surround sound, but it does a fantastic job. I can almost pinpoint where someone is approaching by foot steps or gunfire. Previously I could only get a general direction. It has saved my tail many times.
Cons: Everytime a boot my computer I have to select my astro headset as the default audio device in order for the Razer Surround to work properly.
Overall Review: Better than a lot of the motherboards audio and most dedicated audio cards. Love the product, definitely recommend.
Pros: Got two on shell shocker, for the less than the price of one. Large File transfers from these drives to other internal/external drives are faster than coming off my SSD. Not that it means much but WEI is 6.4.
Cons: None. However, I am going to bash newegg on the packaging. Received both drives with almost every bubble in the bubble wrap busted. The were touching metal to metal with one another. Probably due to handling abuse during shipping. Probably the reason that so many people receive their products DOA.
Overall Review: Those writing that the drives are not fast are fools. They are not SSD's granted. But I prefer them over my SSD. Western Digital Reliability. I have had two WD drives go bad in the last 10 years. I generally have my replacement drive in less than 3 days.
