Great Product but Poor Shipping!

CyberPower Intelligent LCD Series CP1500AVRLCD 1500 VA 900 Watts 12 Outlets UPS
CyberPower Intelligent LCD Series CP1500AVRLCD 1500 VA 900 Watts 12 Outlets UPS

Pros: Great product, now that I know how to use it.

Cons: I bought my 3rd one recently and was SHOCKED to see it had been shipped in only the retail box. It was battered and torn on the ends, but then taped up to keep it one piece. When I opend the box, the protective styro was broken in half and demolished on the end they had to tape up. Come on New Egg! This package never should have left your docks. If I ever receive another package like this from you, it will be my last order.

Overall Review: The first 2 units I ordered a month ago cam properly boxed and protected.

Most Critical Review

What Side to Plug In?

CyberPower Intelligent LCD Series CP1500AVRLCD 1500 VA 900 Watts 12 Outlets UPS
CyberPower Intelligent LCD Series CP1500AVRLCD 1500 VA 900 Watts 12 Outlets UPS

Pros: Easy to setup. I like the utility software and the display. I also like the relatively small footprint - saves on floor space. I also like the longevity of battery power supply...if it really works out to 90 minutes :).

Cons: Well, looking back at the documentation, it does say "the unit has four battery powered/surge protected outlets...". This really didn't mean much to me until I lost power and my machine went down. Through some plug and play troubleshooting of the outlets, I realized one side provided power with the unit unplugged, while the other side didn't. I called tech support and they put it all together for me. So, for the other tech dummies out there: all 8 outlets provide surge protection, but only 4 provide battery backup. Make sure your mission critical components, i.e., computer, monitor (speakers?, yeah, have to have tune) are plugged in on the side marked Battery + Surge. I haven't run into the problem re: the type of power supply for the computer noted elsewhere.....yet. And I have a new HP Pavilion. Hope this helps.

Overall Review: It took me 2 tech support calls to solve the problem. The first one said I should unplug it, then add an item, then another one, then another one. He didn't say anything about paying attention to the different plug-in sides. That could have saved me from pulling my U workstation out from the wall, which is a monumental task, to reach the plug to run the unplug/power test. Maybe this should be put on the top of their tech support checklist.

Big Improvement So Far

SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 6670 2GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 Graphics Card 100326-2GL
SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 6670 2GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 Graphics Card 100326-2GL

Pros: Easy to install. Install of driver and card went very smooth - thank @od. It seems anything to do with computers requires pulling teeth to get it to work and keep it working. Noticeable improvement over .5 gb card I did have, which would crash when too many windows were open at one time in a business app environment. I'm ordering another one for another system (HP) that has the same problem. I need to stay away from MOBO graphics chips - just not enough anything.

Cons: None so far. Let's hope it stays that way.

Overall Review: Funny how some users dis it's lack of gaming prowess. If you read the specs on the AMD site, it's really not designed to handle beefy games. It's just a good match for a stock system with the typical 300 watt power supply.
