Pros: Good warranty. I like Artic products.
Cons: Installed fan in the font of a Define Nano case. When I turned the computer on the fan blades were hitting the metal case frame and 3 of the blades broke off. Not sure if I got a defective fan or if it was just not compatible with the case.
Overall Review: I bought this fan and the BioniX F120. Mounted the F120 in the rear and had no issues. The font of the case is designed to fit a 140 or 120mm fan, the blades were clipping the frame somewhere. I had a 140mm Deepcool fan that worked in the same exact spot with no issues. Seems to me like the fan blades are to big for the fan frame they have put it in or maybe it is just not compatible with the Define Nano case.
Pros: Supports AM3 CPU's, DDR3 Memory And SATA II
Overall Review: Used this board for A Windows XP project build. Teamed it up with an Athlon II X3 460, GTX 750 TI LP, 180GB Intel SATA II SSD, 4GB of DDR3 and Windows XP in an Antec Minuet case. Works perfect and now I have a Decent WIndows XP SFF gaming rigg to play those 10yr old games!
Pros: Made by Intel, Fast boot times, Can't beat the price.
Overall Review: WOW! Got the SSD today, threw it into an old ACER Desktop I purchased in 2011. Performance is good.
Downloaded and install Intel SSD Toolbox. The Toolbox is reporting SSD status as GOOD with 100% life remaining. I can't believe I got this for $34. I will be purchasing one more of these. If your computer only supports SATA II and you want a quality SSD for cheap this is the one to buy. SOLID! Can't even tell it is a REFURB. Thanks Newegg once again!
Pros: Keeps my OC FX 6300 nice and cool.
Cons: Large....did I say large. Installing back plate was painless but you will need an extra long Philips screw driver to reach the bracket to secure the heat sink.
Overall Review: Overall this is a great CPU cooler. Keeps my FX 6300 OC to 4Ghz at a max of 46 degrees C while running prime95. I used speccy and AMD overdrive to verify temps matched. Near silent. Bought a 2nd fan, didn't change the temps much so I do not use it.
This thing is large. Would not fit in the Corsair case I purchased so I went back to using the Fractal design R3 black pearl I purchased in 2012. Buy it, great price and excellent cooling performance. Will be buying a 2nd soon for my 8320e system I am building.
Pros: Price/Performance. Easy Overclock.
Overall Review: Excellent price to performance ratio. Speedy processor if you overclock. Got mine stable at 4.2 with 1.15V. Seeing temps in the low 60's running prime95 with an antec Kuhler H2O 620. Added an 850 Evo SSD and an R7 260X video card, 8gb ddr3 1600. Windows 7 WEI scores 7.3, 7.4, 7.6, 7.6, 7.9. Overall very happy with this processor and ITX Build.
Pros: Sturdy and looks good. Easy to work in. Good case for the price.
Overall Review: Purchased a Deepcool Lucifer V2. Cooler to big, could not put the side panel on. Replaced it with a deepcool Captain 120 AIO liquid cooler. It barely fit! but was able to get it in Overall I am happy with this purchase..
Pros: Bought this to replace the Deepcool Lucifer V2 that was too big for my case. Put it on a Phenom II X6 1055t 125w processor. Temps dropped at Idle from the low 40's to the low-mid 30's. Ran prime95 and temps never went above 50. Love the reactor look with the red LED. Very Quiet cannot hear the pump or fan. Easy Install.
Cons: Tubes are not very flexible. Other than that, none.
Overall Review: I was skeptical from the other reviews. I love the Reactor look with the red LED which matched my Red gaming Key/Mouse, red/black MSI gaming board and the Carbide Spec-1 case I purchased. Very happy with the performance and silence of this cooler.
Pros: Price, 4 Jaguar Cores, low wattage, GCN.
Overall Review: Great low watt quad-core processor. From what I read this has 4 Jaguar cores, not two. Snappy and responsive under windows 8.1. Love this processor. Got a motherboard (MSI AM1I), memory, case and modular PSU for a little over $200. System is fast and responsive, but I also use a Samsung 840 SSD. Graphics are weak, had trouble playing HL 2 at 1080p. I will be adding a R7 260x soon. Other than that, great performance. Good job AMD. Can wait to see what else will be release under the AM1 platform.
Pros: Price, got it for 9.99. Woot!!
Cons: Takes for ever to start the protection process from a cold boot of restart even with a SSD and an i5 3570!!!!!
Random crashing of IE10 after install. Couldn't even stream Neflix without it crashing.
Uninstalled, No more IE10 problems.
Overall Review: Had Norton Internet Security that was getting ready to expire. Found this on sale for 9.99, 89% savings versus the regular price. What a waste, went back to Norton, a top notch security solution.
Do not buy.
Get Norton, Bit Defender or Web Root.
Don't waste your money!
I will be avoiding Trend Micro from now on.
Pros: Price, T-Series, rear IEEE 1394a port, UEFI Bios.
Easy overclocking, BIOSTAR reliability. Didn't have to flash BIOS to use FX 4100.
Cons: No USB 3.0 header. For $29 more wish I would have gone with the 990FX.
Overall Review: I have always used MSI or Gigabyte.
This is my second BIOSTAR board and I am now a fan.
Wish I would have gone with the 990FX for the USB 3.0 Header...but this will do for now.
Love the UEFI Bios. Overclocked my FX 4100 to 4.0GHz with ease.
I think BIOSTAR is under-rated.
Pros: Powerful, price, Descent FPs when gaming.
Overall Review: People have been complaining about Radeon drivers for years. The drivers seem fine to me. Games run smooth, HD video streams fine. Never had an issue with AMD Radeon graphic cards or their drivers. This replaced a Radeon HD 5570 which was an excellent card also.
Pros: SeaSonic, Got it on Sale, modular, Reliable power.
Overall Review: This Replace a Rosewill RG700 that under performed big time.
FX 4100 OC'ed to 4.0GHz
Radeon HD 6850
16 GB DDR3 1333
90GB Kinston HyperX SSD
Antec Kuhler 620
22" HP2211x HD display
Fractal Design R3 case
Pros: Super fast, price made by Kingston.
Cons: None at all.
Overall Review: Major WOW factor, Scores a 7.9 our of 7.9 WEI in windows 7. Installed Windows 8 Consumer Preview and Scores an 8.1 out of 9.9 WEI.
Took the bottle neck out of my computer. Amazing!
Pros: Space saving, liquid cooling made by Antec.
Cons: new clicking sound coming from case after install. After reading on some forums, found that there can be air bubbles trapped inside the radiator and pump. Easy fix, read other thoughts.
Overall Review: Impressive cooling. Stuck this on a FX 4100 overclocked to 4.0GHz. Idles between 29-31 degrees Celcius.
Annoying New sound was fixed by lightly shaking the pump and radiator to get the trapped air out. Had it for over a month and noise is gone. Easy install if you follow the directions. Worth the money, I was tired of having to have a huge heatsink and fan for descent cooling.
Pros: Can't beat the price, new architecture , over clocks well had it at 4.2GHz stable.
Overall Review: Not to impressed at first, running windows 7 with both hot fixes installed. Scores a 7.2 WEI. Seams sluggish. My Phenom II 945 scored higher.
Best Build to date. 16GB DDR3 1333Mhz, 90GB Kingston HyperX SSD ( Scores 8.1 out of 9.9 WIN 8 WEI), 320 GB Caviar Blue for games and programs, Radeon HD 6850, SeaSonic M12II 620 80+ PSU neatly packed into a Fractal Design R3 case.
Just Installed Windows 8 Consumer Preview tonight. Processor is snappier, games load faster and overall system performance seams smooth. Very happy with Windows 8 installed. Best bang for your buck....but Windows 8 is a must have to get the best performance out of this processor.
You can't go wrong with this processor for the price. AMD got it right, just need OS designed to take advantage of their new architecture.
Pros: Size is ok..... fits full sized cards. Case looks ok. PSU is not to bad.
Cons: MB stand offs not aligned properly, MB would not align with rear IO plate. 80mm fans not efficient at moving air. Never could get the Front audio ports to work, probably do not support HD. Not enough MB stand offs.
Overall Review: This case is barely ok. Could not use the rear IO plate do to the fact that the MB would not align with it. Side intake fan should have been 120mm not 80mm. I used this case for about 2 months. Found a Rosewill case (N82E16811147123) with almost identical height and depth just a little bit wider and am much happier. Hey, now I have a spare case and PSU to build me a cheap HTPC.
Pros: AMD, price and performance.
Cons: Stock cooler is to loud, but i expected that.
Overall Review: Stock cooler works but fan spins above 5000 rpm to manage temps. I purchased an AC Alpine 64.
Teamed this CPU up with a Biostar 785G MB, Sapphire Radeon HD 5570 and 8GB Kingston DDR3 1066. Love AMD prices and performance. AMD might lose the benchmark war, but its not by much and who cares if you have to wait a few seconds longer.
Pros: Light weight, nice size and finish, will fit full size PSU, HDD and power LEDs are not to bright. This is an excellent case for the price.
Cons: HDD cage is mounted right next to the CPU socket (on my BIOSTAR TA785G3 HD MB). Could not fit my AC Alpine 64 CPU cooler. 3.5" HDDs stick out to far. A bit disapointed, had no problem fitting this cooler in my SFF case. Had to use AMDs stock cooler. This is the only design flaw with this case.
Wife complains, I spent to much time on the egg!
Overall Review: Purchased 2x120mm and 1x80mm Artic cooling PWN fans, these fans are awesome. As other reviewer stated you can mount an additional 120mm fan on the side of the case. Over all I am very happy with this purchase. Excellent cooling, quiet (even with stock AMD cooler). I am seeing temps at 32 degrees idle (4000 rpm with stock cooler). Has not gone above 50 degrees while gaming.
AMD Phenom II X4 945
Biostar TA785G3 HD
8GB Kingston DDR3 1066
2 WD Caviar Blue 320GB
Sapphire Radeon HD 5570
Samsung Blu-ray (Cheap and matches case perfect)
FSP 450 watt 80+ SFX PSU
22" LG Flatron EW224 full HD monitor
Nice budget gaming setup.
Pros: Price and performance.
Overall Review: Excellent price to performance ratio. WEI 6.5. This processor performs well enough. Like it better then the E6750 that i paid almost $280 for.
Athlon II X2 255
Radeon HD 5570
8GB DDR3 1066
Pros: Good budget gaming card for the price.
39 watts max power draw.
Excellent card for slim line desktops with a low wattage PSU.
Cons: Gets kind of hot.
Overall Review: I got mine cheaper in an open box deal. Gets hot when gaming, I manually set the speed of the fan to 100% when I game. Scores 6.7 on WEI. Games well. I get 60fps min (avg is 80) on COD4, always above 90fps on BF2 and HL2 60fps and higher.
Will run on a 220W (80+) PSU with a 14a rail with no problem thanks to the max power draw being 39 watts.
Pros: Low profile and its Kingston. Always my first choice.
Overall Review: I didn't realize that these were low profile. Worked out to my advantage since I have a Slim desktop. Bought 2 of these. WEI core is 7.1. Kingston rules.
Pros: Excellent cooler for the price. Cools well and its quiet. Fits in my Slim Line computer.
Cons: None so far, but I don't expect any. I have never had any problems with AC products.
Overall Review: Thought this was going to be big. Not as big as other reviews say it is. According to AC website the MAX TDP is rated at 90. Anything over and you will get some heat issues. Got mine on a 65W Athlon II X2 255 and works perfect! I expect this Cooler to last along time.
Pros: Fast, silent, reliable and not a WD.
Cons: None so far
Overall Review: Samsung is the brand i prefer for HDD. I have owned several of them and never had an issue. Samsung HDDs are so under rated.
