MSI MPG X870E Carbon WIFI - good stuff - This review is for the MSI Review Rebate Program.

Pros: -easy release of the GPU and M.2's toolless is really nice. -no need to unstall a back plate to mount a cooler was great -wifi was nice for initial setup. Did have to load win 11 for it to work, but as soon as I did that it was good. -product has lots of M.2 slots two of which wont get in the way of the pcie 5.0 lanes. -Dual channel ram working with XPM -really liked the cmos reset feature to get ram installed -liked that most of the headers are hidden -debug LED is very useful
Cons: No notes
Overall Review: This review is for the MSI Review Rebate Program. MSI MPG X870E Carbon WIFI Snappy looking motherboard to build AM5 PC on. I'm Happy with the purchase for my AM5 2080 build.
board - not so bad

Pros: -m.2 Samsung ssd Samsung 950 Pro works fine. had to disable CSM compatibility setting in the BIOS to get it to work.
Cons: lack of clarity in the manual when installing NVMe M.2 devices
Overall Review: nothing wrong with this board. since Newegg wont let me edit my initial negative review, I'm writing another one to correct my initial experience. see this thread for a solution to the Samsung 950 pro compatibility issue: http://forums.evga.com/Z170-boot-from-NVMe-drive-m2399716.aspx
I Like EM!

Pros: -loudest speakers i have ever heard for this price range -great solution for output from a single (directly connected) device
Cons: -price dropped quickly after i bought these at release (should have been patient)
Overall Review: i dont have a very high amount of experience with audio quality. i am nowhere near most audiophiles and consider myself a layman when it comes to this type of technology. that being said, i am very satisfied with the quality of this system. could it possibly be because i've never heard anything better? absolutely! overall i do love these speakers though and can verify they will rattle the house. that being said i believe it is more important to most users to be educated on what these things are really meant for. cruising the internet, i saw a few cases where people were trying to integrate this system with a home theater system (A/V receiver and the like) while this may be technically possible, its not a good idea. these speakers were made to be either the HUB for audio connection inputs, or the single audio output from a device (like a computer). in short i wouldn't try and route audio through an A/V receiver to this system. i purchased these for my computer originally, but then discovered i use headphones 99.9% of the time while on my PC. so, i decided to try and repurpose them by attaching them to my TV. now i haven't purchased an AV reciever, but i was about to. in my scenario this was unnecessary. all i had to do was connect this system to the digital coax connection on my TV via the orange cable, and viola any device i connect to my TV via HDMI (chromecast, etc) will work with these speakers and output proper surround sound if the content being played supports it. it is important to note i have an older LCD tv that has a digital coax connection. i dont see this coax connection being around much longer. the better solution now is an A/V receiver for a home theater setup and HDMI connections. i was going to go this route but i think ill stick with my current setup until i get a new TV. its just not worth the investment for me to get an A/V receiver and all new speakers at this time.
