Great HTPC CPU

AMD A4-6300 - A4 Series Richland Dual-Core 3.7 GHz Socket FM2 65W AMD Radeon HD 8370D Desktop Processor - AD6300OKHLBOX
AMD A4-6300 - A4 Series Richland Dual-Core 3.7 GHz Socket FM2 65W AMD Radeon HD 8370D Desktop Processor - AD6300OKHLBOX

Pros: Using this in a HTPC build with 4 gigs of ram on a mini ITX ASrock board. It has been very fast, very stable and more than capable of streaming 1080p content to XBMC from network storage. Stock heat sink probably would have been OK, it is low profile too which I wasn't expecting. I replaced it with a Noctua low profile fan and have had no problem with temps.

Cons: None

Overall Review: No regrets, happy with my purchase.

Most Critical Review

A little disapointed.

Kingston SSDNow V Series SNV125-S2BD/30GB 2.5" Desktop Bundle 30GB SATA II Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Kingston SSDNow V Series SNV125-S2BD/30GB 2.5" Desktop Bundle 30GB SATA II Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: It's still a SSD.

Cons: Well, I just got Windows 7 installed and all the updates applied, software installed, etc and then decided to do the ol' WEI. I have an Intel SSD in my other desktop, which I paid 3 times as much for so maybe I'm spoiled, but this drive was only rated 5.9. That's the same score as my 2 year old WD 250 7200.

Overall Review: For the price, it's not a bad way to go. Just don't forget that you get what you pay for.

Another back plate fail.

ZALMAN LQ-320 Water/Liquid CPU Cooler 120MM
ZALMAN LQ-320 Water/Liquid CPU Cooler 120MM

Pros: It's a nice unit, which is why I bought it. Got the recommendation from T's hardware, was excited to try it out.

Cons: Back plate does not fit ASRock Z77 Extreme 4. I'm not sure how this happens, and that's why I'm giving one egg. 1155 stock cooler pops right in, how hard is it to match your back plate up to the most popular chipset on the market?

Overall Review: If it will work on your MB, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Unless Zalman wants to overnight me a new back plate, I'm pretty sure I will be returning this and getting the H80i.

Great Card!

SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 4830 512MB GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card 100265L

Pros: CS:S 1680 x 1050 all settings MAX AA 8x, 60 fps rock solid. Crysis 1680 x 1050, all settings HIGH AA 2X , 20-24 fps COD:4 1680 x 1050, all settings MAX AA 4x, 40-60 fps These are the games I play and the resolutions I play them at, and I could not be happier. I plan on getting another for crossfire to boost the ol' crysis frames a bit. Running on a regular PCI:E I honestly don't know what you guys are talking about that say this is loud. Mine isn't any louder than my HDD, case fans and psu. The fan runs at 15% while idling and is darn near silent. Runs about 40-41 while idling and 55-60 under full load.

Cons: None so far.

Patriot Extreme Performance 4GB (4 x 1GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Quad Kit Desktop Memory Model PDC24G6400LLQK

Pros: Lots of memory for a good price

Cons: Ok, so right on the box it says 100% quad tested, and 100% hand tested and then immdiately packaged to ensure quality and compatibility. Well, it works with 3 of them, but as soon as I put in the 4th, no go.

Overall Review: Good ram for the money, Im just bummed I have to work out this whole thing. Good luck.
